If you're close by this place it's a great place to rest chill and do some shopping. If like me you go on Wednesday afternoon evening the local market has plenty to choose from. Often visit on Wednesday stock up on fruit and try another dish. Selection of pictures from tonights market.

You know how when you visit a city in the United States, and there’s usually a local “Chinatown” where you find Asian stores and eateries and most Asians feel like they can go there and feel a certain connection to what is familiar to them? Well, Kad Farang Village is just like that in reverse. It’s this little area in Chiang Mai Thailand where Americans can get that same sense. This place has Starbucks, McD, Pizza Hut, Dairy Queen, Aunty Anne’s, KFC, etc. Aptly named “Kad Farang Village” where “farang” in Thai meaning “foreigner”, it’s the enclave of the many Americans who live in this vicinity. There are Thai and other eateries amidst the standard American fare, and it makes for a good combination for those living close enough here. It’s more of a community space for longer term residents and those who reside in Chiang Mai for the longer term since it is further away from the old city and it’s more accessible if you have a car or personal transport. Otherwise, it really isn’t somewhere tourists would come or need to come. But that’s fine cause that’s exactly how the local residents like it ;) more of a residential local community space.

This is amazing every Wednesday there is the largest food, beverage, clothing and home goods market on Hangdong-Patong Road. This market is called "Kad Farang Village", will you buy food to take home or eat here? The market has a seating area, restrooms, and plenty of parking.

A great place to shop with the Premium Outlet right next door. The weekend market offers lots of food choices at low prices. It's a great place to just go to and relax!

Quaint outdoor style shopping centre. Worth a look around. Some retro metal playground equipment for the kids. Mr DIY store there is why we come, sort of like a Bunnings but smaller.

KFC, Mc Donald's, Pizza, Starbuck and all the fast food are all here. There is also premium outlet store next door for branded goods shoe to hand bags. There is also a local food court located behind this place with affordable local dishes.

Very good place, nice location and a lot of internation products at Rimpim for tourists. Wednesday night is the market, really busy but worth visiting. Big choices of food and cheap. We love it!

The village itself is not an entertainment park. Walk around and find a nice place to eat. Take a few pictures and that’s about all there is. Have some nice restaurants to choose from and is intended to cater foreigners. You will find unusual but perhap common to some of us “throngs or food”.

Nice little market. Some higher end shops and food options available along with a food court and stalls. The Rimping grocery store at this location is especially good.

Not a very complete shopping center. Has an overpriced grocery market. A mediocre bakery. A minimal food market to the rear and a Do it yourself store with plenty of low quality items available. A good pizza shop and a few juice joints. Overall not much to draw you here.

😐 Compared to premium outlets in the US, the concept is similar except it lacks of attractive discount and there is no crowd. I wonder how long can the businesses last. Prices are not attractive, varieties are limited. This is a domino effect, no attractive price, no people, no people, no attractiv...
