I went there for a check as I thought to have a cavity in my upper right tooth. The dentist said the tooth was no good and recommended rootcanal and a crown. I went elsewhere for a second opinion. They said it was just a cavity and they took good care of that. They saved my tooth and a lot of unnecesary spending. I'm very disappointed in this lack of professionalism of Empress Dental. Based on the many good reviews I thought they were good. After this awfull experience, I will not go back there.

Absolute agony. I had Dr Suraphong Chintanaporn today for cleaning and it was the most painful visit in my 40+ years of going to the dentist. I know it was a deep cleaning but he seems to make no effort to be gentle. Every time he used the floss he jammed the floss in to the gum with force. It was horrendous. I've actually had him on previous occasions and noticed he is rough, but today was almost unbearable. I will definitely not be going to him again. If you are looking for a gentle dentist, I cannot recommend him. In fact, I don't think I will be going back to Empress.

We came here by recommendations of several groups of expats to treat my 10 year old daughter. The special children doctor was amazing and nice. We were in and out in 20 minutes and the cost was only 500 bahts for a check-up and x-ray. English is spoken and they were all amazing.

I used to like Empress Dental but the last time that I went I was told that I had 4 cavities - I have never had 4 cavities at once. I went for a second opinion to another dentist and had 0 cavities. This cannot be error - 4 to 0 but must be intention.

We travelled this time from sri lanka via Vietnam just to receive the incredible warm welcome and 5 star treatment. They are impecable, kind hearted and very welcoming people who focus there attention on client care before profit. We fully recommend Empress Dental to anyone that needs dental work at very reasonable prices, they specialise in providing clients with a realistic and genuine dental treatment plan focusing on health and not profit. It is a little outside chiang mai, but the professionalism is well worth the extra. Thank you empress dental for giving us the confidence back in wanting to come back to a dentist without fear.

Went there in good hopes as the place came and still comes as highly recommended. A root canal and crown were recommended. A set of appointments were made with a explanation what will be done and how much it will be. All good so far. Next appointment things were added. Ok. Can happen. Following appointment rootcanal was done. Dentist came across as insecure and inexperienced. Didn't give a good feeling at all. Then, the announcement that for putting a crown they needed to cut in my gum. Why wasn't this noticed and announced before? My gum hadn't suddenly moved upwards I left and went to another dentist who did an excellent job with a difficult tooth as during the rootcanal treatment the tooth was damaged more than necessary. And now, it turns out the root canal treatment has not been done well. It is giving me increasingly problems. So, all has to be done again. Needless to say, I'm less than satisfied.

You typically only wait less than 5 minutes if you have an appointment but the first time I came there, I had no appointment and still waited less then 5 minutes even they seemed very busy. I had an emergency. I am an American ex pat working in chiang Mai. They were prompt, professional, cared that I had pain and concern and they quickly and compassionately fixed my issue. The first time I came in they did a very low cost temporary fix of a broken crown just to ease my discomfort and get me through it. They were honest with me. They said “you could probably for some quite some time on the way we fixed this and you would be fine. We recommend that you replace the crown because it actually broke and split done the middle kind of. But they cemented it in so that I could live as normal life as long as I needed to before coming back to get it fixed permanently. They did not do high pressure sales to come back quickly and get it actually fixed. They said that this will hold for a pretty long time but we do recommend you get it fix when you can. After a couple of weeks I decided to go ahead and get the permanent fix. They were awesome. They were understanding it my needs. The prices were very reasonable and the service was quick when professional. I am very happy with the finished product but more impressed with their staff, the kindness, the courtesy and the professionalism. As long as we live in Thailand, this will be our dentist. You should check them out.

My thoughts were to get a cleaning and exam and then base potential next steps on how good I felt about my visit. I’m not discounting the bad reviews, but today’s was one of the best dental visits I’ve ever had in my life. Not exaggerating. Dr. Jarunee had excellent bedside manner and periodically asked if I was in any discomfort. She heard my story and synthesized the info well. I felt seen and heard and respected. And her assistant was in sync with her. I was blown away that I never had to request the suction tube to get that last little bit of spit out of my mouth. The assistant was that thorough! Lol. The visit would’ve been over after the deep cleaning, but I requested x-rays. Dr. Jarunee looked them over, and unlike what previous reviewers said, she didn’t suggest additional work. If she were trying to make money, she could’ve suggested some expensive procedures. However, she gave me a positive outlook that with proper home care and regular cleanings, I should be ok for a while. Again, I’m not discounting the experiences of others, nor am I commenting on other doctors. I’m just saying my kids and I are all smiles about our visits to Empress.

Their new facility is wonderful and conveniently located just off of the Canal Road going south towards Hang Dong/Samoeng. Empress Dental clinic provides very comprehensive services including surgery if needed. They have a great team of specialists who, in most cases, are only a few rooms away within the same building. I have been very happy with their services and due to their professional examinations and impeccable care, the results for my current oral hygene are now excellent.
