This hostel is a notch above the rest in the Hanoi hostel scene. Republik has a swank lobby and a general premium feel. The 12-bed dorm I stayed in was like a pod hotel, so privacy levels are high. The beds, quilts and pillows are superbly comfortable, and bathrooms are clean (equipped with high-quality soap and shampoo). The staff is generally helpful, food tasty (but expensive) and booze innovative (but also expensive). Free beer at 6pm is till stocks last (they open a single keg up) and there is an after-hours bar in the basement (which also houses a pool table).

Stayed here 2 nights, extended another 3 as I felt so comfortable. Rooms were well equipped with air-con, locker, lamp, curtain and comfy mattress. Location is good, close to everything but away from the craziness of the Old Quarter. Everything was clean and spacious. What stood out to me the most was the staff, in particular the breakfast guys doing an amazing job. Food is beautifuly prepared and I was always welcomed with a big smile and friendly 'Good Morning!' which made my day. My only suggestion would be to add a hook or two in the showers for your towel/clothes. But a perfect stay for me overall! Thanks guys, & see you again 😊

Clean, friendly staff, beds are very private. Nice common areas with pool table in the basement. Overall a really nice quiet place. The showers were a bit too small. Your clothes get wet cause there's not really any space to hang them.

Excellent hostel, more like a hotel from the layout, the staff, accomodation and amenities are all perfect. The cinema room upstairs which fronts onto the roof terrace is a great way to chill out and save some money or just kill time on Hanoi. The food served is good, you can order food to the rooftop through Facebook which is very handy for lazy people like myself. The breakfast is really nice specially as its free. Stay here if you want a bit of a social / relax / chill hostel all thrown into one.

Republik goes the extra mile to help you feel welcome and to take care of whatever you need. The breakfast is amazing, and so is the coffee. Good restaurant. The location is near enough to the old quarter without being right in the thick of it. Wonderful hot showers with plenty of water pressure. Beds are comfy and have good blankets and pillows. Absolutely would stay again. Highly recommend. Great atmosphere.

Enjoyed my time here! Breakfast was great, downstairs bar vibe was fine and the staff was fun too. Free beer the first 10 minutes of every hour starting at 17:00(?) until the keg is gone. Beds in the dorm were comfortable, had a cubbie with power and they have lockers (bring your own lock). Did a free walking tour through the hostel with a college student and that was great too. Would highly recommend Republik.

Today I ordered through Now pizza Republik which was described as having ham, mushrooms, tuna... and received a pizza as shown in the picture. Even one slice doesn't have all that variety??? . I don't know how you share costs with the delivery party and whether Now's discount program has any effect on your revenue. But if because of discounts, you give a pizza like this to customers, then I think you should not open the kitchen anymore. Actually, I feel very shocked at this level of pitifulness with no end in sight. In terms of quality, it's a bit greasy, the tuna is a bit dry and burnt, the taste is ok.

Love this hostel. Stayed here for 3 weeks, awesome staff. Super helpful and friendly. Will make you feel at home. Free breakfast is awesome, I’ve been eating their waffles the whole time, awesome! Beds are the best one I’ve seen in SE Asia! Good shower. WiFi is wonky sometimes when it gets crowded but nothing major. There a chill room on the top floor with huge couches and a big TV with Netflix. You can eat upstairs. Good restaurant, good pizzas and toasties. Free beer at the beginning of every hour from 6pm until the keg run out!! Love you guys!! Activities at night, lottery challenge, quizz night and family dinners. Free English and Spanish walking tour every day at 10am!

One of the cheapest hostels I've ever stayed in, and also one of the best. Amazingly clean and modern rooms, each bed bunk has its own lamp and charging port, curtains, and a incredibly comfortable bed. The complementary breakfast was delicious too, we can choose off the menu the food we want.

Clean rooms and very nice staff. Stayed here for three nights. The free breakfast is good and it is centeral to old town Hanoi. Went on a morning walking tour with Bob and got to see a lot of the streets. He took us to a very good coffee shop and told us about the local history and events.

Republik was one of the best hostels we stayed at on a month long trip through southeast Asia. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and quiet. The breakfast was amazing! I would recommend this hostel to anyone looking for accommodation in Hanoi.

Really good hostel. Our dorm of 12 stayed cool overnight and in each comfy bed you get a small shelf and a fan. There's big lockers to keep luggage in too. It was really easy to meet people here either at free beer time, at brekfast or on the free walking tour, which runs daily at 10am. We did our tour with Johnny, who was a great guide and introduced us well to the local area. They also offer other stuff like free yoga, although a group of us waited about 20 minutes for the class to start but no one turned up! Breakfast was delicious - choose from a baguette with a choice of fillings, yoghurt and fruit, shakshuka or waffles, plus tea and coffee. They don't provide free drinking water here but you can buy large bottles for 20,000 dong (or just stock up at cheaper local shops). The staff were amazing, it was particularly nice how they remembered our names and always greeted us. Haven't had that at any other hostel before. Bathrooms were okay. They were fairly clean but quite cramped, the showers weren't great and lots of toilet seats were broken. They were building new bathrooms on floor six which probably meant that our ones on floor five were busier than usual though. Overall I'd definitely recommend staying here. The quality of the rooms, staff, breakfast, free activities AND beer made it seem like fantastic value.

Great hostel, staff is friendly and the breakfast is to die for. The real highlight was the free walking tour with Jason (sincerely apologize for not remembering his real name). The insight into Vietnamese culture was incredible, and the few hours flew by. It's an absolute cannot miss. Whatever he's being paid, it's not enough. A big thank you to Jason for the unforgettable experience!

The Value for this Hostel is crazy. The beds are super cozy and the breakfast really good! The staff was so helpful. I lost my passport and they even went with me to the police station to translate. Thanks again for everything The place to go if you‘re in Hanoi

One of the best Hostel I have ever been to. Really good and cooperative staff. The cleanliness is exceptional and the people coming here are also good. The hostel offer free beer round every hour for 10 minutes after 6PM and they have daily free activities going around. Hostel has a public tv room with netflix and prime where you can watch something while socialising with other fellow backpackers. The breakfast is complimentary with the booking and it’s a must try. They offer a really good breakfast with unlimited tea and coffee. You also have option for private rooms

Had a great stay at Republik, booked a private room which was quite small but equipped with great air con! Room was clean and the bed was comfy. Staff were super friendly and happy to help at all times. The hostel have daily activities available free of charge, would definitely recommend the walking tour with Jason. He was brilliant and taught us a lot about Hanoi and the Vietnamese people in general. Also free breakfast included... 5/5

🫤 Let me start with the good: the location is excellent, right in the heart of the Old Quarter, the breakfast is great, and the rooftop bar has great city views and happy hour deals. The staff is friendly and helpful in arranging tours, buses and transport, laundry, etc. However, in my opinion, none...
