Love staying at this place as it is one of the few places still owned and operated by Jamaicans. The rooms are renovated so that’s a plus. The restaurant is really nice as well. Love their salt fish and ackee breakfast.

We came to this spot to use their ATM. The beach was great and the people were very pleasant. We supported the vendors. I learned that it was locally owned. The rooms were each little buildings, with different colors and looked like a place I would stay next time.

The Boardwalk was a refreshing and authentic Hotel set on the shores of Seven Mile Beach. Very Pretty and bright colours set the scene with immediate access to the beach. Lots of Beds to choose from. The rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable. We hooked up with their Driver Garth and became friends immediately. He took us to different locations on the Island and was extremely helpful. A great guy and an asset the the Hotel. Food was great and well presented, we had breakfast and lunch here most days. A smile and interest from the waitresses would have been nice, but hey ho. Highly recommend this Hotel. Why pay more.

Had a great time at Lobster Island best seafood I've EVER had! Will definitely go back! Certain (Mark's nickname) will see me again!

Brought here with our tour bus.... Lobster is amazing, especially on the Beach. Fresh and tasty lobster worth the cost (2024 - 35$ US for (1) person lobster). Love the vibes of the hotel and atmosphere

The rooms are nice, they have all been renovated. The food is okay , mainly made for tourist taste. The wait service is lenghthy and the wifi shuts off once 8pm kicks in, so have credit on your phone. The manager and night concierge are communitive. They are in a good location to move around for shops and night life.

Best place along the beach to sit and watch the sunset. You have to pay $7 each for sun lounger and umbrella. Didn’t have much on the lunch menu for me to eat as we are vegan, but they were more than happy to make the quesadillas without the cheese and cream. Dinner was one of the best meals I had in Negril, it was the Rasta stew with steamed veg, plantain and rice

I stopped to ask the gate man if they had iced lattes coffee’s. He said “yes, we can make anything you want” The coffee was good, but it was definitely not what I was looking for. Hot coffee over ice isn’t the same, but the server was nice.

This was one of my least favorite place to stay with my family. The rooms are ok, but certain room are infested with fruit flies due to their location by the mango tree. Horrible place for service (at the restaurant). One morning we waited 1 hr & 45 minutes for dine in breakfast. There were only about 6-7 tables occupied at the time so it wasn't busy. It's absolutely ridiculous. The food is subpar. The beach is ok, but there were sea urchins which stuck my son and husband in the foot. There are no warnings about this anywhere. You have to pay $7 for beach chair pads and umbrella. This is utterly ridiculous! Bright lantern lights outside make it hard to sleep. There is no parking onsite, so if you've got a rental you're screwed. We ended up cutting our stay at this hotel a day short, it just became too much between the fruit flies, long restaurant wait time and sea urchin beach area. No pool! I could not recommend this place to anyone. We will never go back. There are other hotel options to choose from in the area.

We stayed here one night before and after staying at another resort, so The Boardwalk was perfect for that purpose. The rooms are clean but bare bones. Give yourself plenty of time for meals as it can take time to be served. But the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The location is fantastic and if you have the opportunity to have Lobster with Fireman, do it! The little shops have typical souvenirs but the shop owners are nice and you can get some okay prices. The morning view for breakfast can’t be beat!! All-in-all… I’d stay for a night again.

We did not stay at Boardwalk Village, but came by for drinks and beach time. The rum punch is good, at a decent price. You can use the beach chairs as long as you're buying food or drinks. The chairs are hard wood loungers and Adirondacks. You can rent a pad for $7 USD each. An umbrella is the same price. If you arrive early enough, you may be able to snag chairs under the large almond tree that shades part of the property. The ocean here has a fair bit of sea grass but it's still warm and nice.

Super cute beach bar, loungers are free and there is a $7 fee for cushions and umbrellas. There is lots of shade so umbrellas likely not needed. Lots of fish so nice spot for snorkeling. My family enjoyed the food and drinks here. Free wifi is available as well!

This is a really fun beach bar with a great vibe. Sunbeds are free to use, you just pay additional fees for cushions and umbrellas, approximately $7usd for each. My family loved the lobster from here, so much so that they had it a couple of times! The rest of the food menu is good, but not spectacular. The staff were friendly and very engaging with our one year old baby. All in all, would definitely go back again.

Large studio with a full kitchen (oven, fridge etc.) able to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner comfortably. Hot running shower, large kitchen bin, room cleaned to a very high standard daily. Very attentive, friendly staff who were keen to help - We were made to feel very welcome during our 4 night stay. The restaurant serves great fried fish and has an excellent wine menu. Location is set a little bit away from the action but it has a lovely beach and complimentary loungers and umbrellas. All in all I can truly say this was great little boutique hotel getaway. 9/10 would recommend and would return.

The place is nice but the food is overpriced and not very good. I had the lobster which you choose yourself, but they don't weigh it so you don't know how much you buy and they will give you the price by looking at the size of it. When it was served it was over cooked and it was missing the claws. When I asked the waitress where the claws went since I bought a lobster and paid by the size, she told me that there is not that much of meat in Caribbean lobsters anyway. Lol

We first visited this property in 2014 for a day trip and have since stayed three times in the last four years. The hotel is situated on a beautiful beach and while the property is small, the ongoing maintenance and care taken is evident. The restaurant and bar on the property serves great food (especially the breakfast) and was very accommodating to our group this week -- they knew our names, knew who wanted to run a tab for the day, provided ample ice and water, and even brought breadfruit in for one member of our group that had never had it. The staff working the beach (thanks Kevin and Oneike!) set up loungers and umbrellas every morning for our large group and would come and chat during downtime. The staff really makes this place stand out and are so friendly and willing to just chat with you (if you want, no pressure) that interactions feel more natural and human. If you need anything, they do all that they can to help. I've noticed that staff seem to stay with them long term as well, which seems like a good sign to me. The rooms are clean and while housekeeping seems to be a bit later in the day, they were great about replacing towels and restocking rooms. The standard rooms appear to have been recently updated and I'm hoping they so the same for the studios soon. The only drawback this trip is that our room (a studio) didn't have a curtain over the door, which meant a lot of light got in the room, especially after sunrise. If we hadn't settled in already, I would have requested to be moved to a different room. If you need to use the safe, you may need to request a key depending on the room, but that's pretty painless. Check in and out are also a breeze -- they even modified this trip's reservation, despite me booking through a vendor, which is a rarity and much appreciated. The beach is very clean and still natural enough that you'll see a ton of sea life just swimming by, as well as birds and a few well cared for cats. We've stayed at lots of resorts/hotels in Jamaica, they all have cats, but the two cats on this property actually receive vet care (they're tagged as ferals, iykyk) and food, which I find really heartwarming. There are vendors on the beach, but they're respectful if you say no, especially if you respect that they're just trying to make a living. If you tell them to come back later, they will absolutely come back later, that's on you. Some of the local fishermen (including the ones just south of Boardwalk) will take you out on the water and to the cay you can see from the beach. The only drawback for us is that things die down once the bar closes at 9:30 or 10 (this is new since covid). This is only a problem if you like to stay up late but we still hung out on the beach. Overall, just some really great people at a great location. I'm really happy that they survived the dip in tourism over the last few years and made it through.

The Boardwalk Village Resort has been our go to resort to visit for the last 4 visits. We have stayed at other resorts on the island ,but The Boardwalk provide the vacations vibe and safe feeling away from home. The staff went beyond on service to make sure our vacation was great. My boyfriend and I are plant based vegan ( no soy meaning all plants) and the chef prepared us fresh ital food ( callaloo, ackee, plantains and more beautiful dishes). The view was amazing and the beach was always clean and secured. One of the staff members , "The Captain" always made sure we had everything we needed on trip from fresh fruit, to directing us to safe taxi service to travel outside the resort. If you looking to support local Jamaican resort with great vibes with great service select The Boardwalk in Negril along the seven mile beach.

This great little boutique hotel ticks all the boxes. The staff are the best I have ever encountered, I have travelled world wide but this was the best. Yes you need to be aware when going out but Courtney our taxi driver delivered us to some fantastic restaurants on the cliff tops, The Falling Star was my favourite and worth a visit. Rick's Cafe is a tourist crazy attraction but not for me. Would definitely go back

Along the 7mi beach, it's got calm blue waters, plenty of benches and well-priced food and drinks that don't gouge. A little heavy on the beach-walking vendors.

Quaint little family owned hideaway. Personally, I prefer the luxurious all inclusive style stay. But if ur looking for a small village type stay........This is the place for you.

Our fantastic tour guide Denton suggested a dinner visit and we had a great time. The lobster was amazing and the beach was just beautiful. The best meal we had our entire stay. Awesome!

The boardwalk is a very quiet resort, my to Couples and Hedo. It is away from the hustle of Seven mile beach (3 miles down). Try the fresh Lobster, the views are amazing. You won't get bored, as there are tons of water sports available nearby. The time are large and immaculate.

We didn't stay at the hotel we just came to visit the shops and beach. The views were beautiful and the bar and shops were great.

I enjoyed staying overnight. The guest relations rep was very helpful and was happy to change rooms at my request - the AC was malfunctioning. My room was comfortable and the staff at the restaurant on property were accommodating. I will definitely be going back really soon. Check - in was a breeze.

I am not rating the hotel here because I didn’t know there was a hotel. Anyhow, we were staying near the boardwalk and it was our suggested entrance to 7 mile beach by locals and our hotel. We were greeted by security at the gate and guided through. Once there I realized I had gone there 10 years ago with a hotel tour trip. You pay a minor fee and enjoy a beautiful spot on 7 mile beach. You get lounge chairs and they have a reasonable price bar with food. No waves, just beautiful azulejo water. There are lobsters, crab, giant starfish and occasional sting ray but nothing to be intimidated with. Just wonderful creatures. My daughter picked up a giant starfish, observed it’s wonder then returned it to its home. Great place I recommend for sure.

👍👍 Best bang for your buck in Negril area. Located between Hedo and Grand Lido so you can visit both with day passes without paying the high hotel prices. There's a small nude beach that borders Hedo but it's not as nice as the main beach on the property. Lots of condo choices and airbnb to choose from...
