Beautiful place to cycle, hike, swim in the little lakes (recreatie strand), and go canoeing. If you can, take the kayak and navigate through the tiny streams between the branches, it's beautiful. The service in the restaurant is...not great, we were awkwardly ignored and got our order wrong. But it's just after the relaxation of covid measures, and the rest of the day was awesome, so it's cool.

Lovely forest lands with biking, hiking, and boat rentals. We ate in the cafe. The food (goat cheese salad) was tasty and plentiful. And there are lots of educational exhibits. Fun!

Very under employed. Barley got served and ignored even if walked up to. Food denied because we were a few minutes late. I didn't even know food only had a certain time. Sucks to watch others get their food tho. Park also was kinda dirty. People leaving their thrash in bushes

Good place for walking, relaxing, grilling and spending time.

It is curiously sponsored by Dupont, which reeks of greenwashing. It is made to make money and the routes you are allowed to peddle are boring, there is an outlook point that is just shabby and it's just all a bit meh. Still enjoyable to take an electric boat out if you're with friends. We saw a beaver. Sadly, it was floating belly up in the water.

Nice and easy to hire a kayak for a couple of hours and at really cheap prices.

Beautiful national park suitable for biking, hiking and boating (on your own!) with reasonable cost.

A beautiful place to experience the Dutch countryside, waterways and nature

Not enough toilets, people walking with dogs without leash, children screaming all the time. But park's big and clean.

Taking the boat-tour of about an hour as a foreigner is a waste of money and time. Better visit it by food/rent a canoe to see something

Love this park so much, always enjoy the nature and sphere. Lot of activities to do both children and adult. We always there when the nice weather is.

Love beavers? This is an anazing centre for exploring the best area of the Biesbosch: there's a whole range of self-guided walks that begin here. The cafe (newly renovated with a new, incredible menu) is wonderful too - even if you don't love beavers! There are views out onto the water ways, the food is reasonably priced, fresh, artisinal and delicious (you can get crisps, soft-drinks and all the kid-friendly choices, but their sandwiches, cakes and coffees were next level.) The Museum section is interesting and interactive, even if you can't read Dutch. The staff were friendly and helpful (and all spoke perfect English). Clean modern toilets. The shop has a great range of items (including many beavers) for a good price too. I recommend the little foot-Ferry that takes you onto the island (I think) is called Pilot Whale Island. It costs €2 for a return and €1 for children and runs at quarter to a d quarter past from about 10am to 5pm, but do check. We had the most wonderful walk around the green paradise - totally flat, wide grassy oaths and easy to navigate. There was one foot-bridge with steps at the centre of the figure-8 walk which could be skipped by making the walk into a shorter circle. We also walked the shorter 'beaverbos' walk (Beaver Woods) which had a human-sized beaver den and a wooden lake-lookout from which we saw a multitude of frogs croaking their little green heads off. There is a high ropes centre that looks incredible and seems to be open most days, but was closed for a school trip when we visited, so check ahead, but our kids were more than happy to explore the area. We left with tired legs, full bellies, happy memories and a beaver plushy.

Beautiful place, if you go to the visitors center you can do different activities such as canoeing, three climbing or just a cruise boat

Park is amazing. You can walk or take a cycling ride based on youtr distance preference. Path is marked by colours. Pets are allowed except in some paths. You can go to the centrum and have an idea and a guidebook (if you wish) about the park. There is a really good restaurant for a coffee, and a bite after a tired walking or cycling tour inside the park. The staff is really friendly. Apple pie is really tasty.!!

👍👍 Beautiful newly constructed nature reserve in the Biesbosch. Club and cycle paths through the area make it easily accessible for walkers and cyclists. The bird watcher can indulge himself there. There are several bird viewing points and huts. We saw 21 species of birds during our visit in October. W...

Hiking area
👍👍 One of the few areas in Dordt where dogs are allowed to run free, but not everywhere! Pay close attention to the posts with or without a dog on a leash, because they are monitored diligently. Lots of water and water birds. A beautiful area in the making.
