The service was AMAZING and the food... BABY!!! EVERY THING!!! This was my first time eating here. Pam was so sweet, she needs a raise. I will be coming back so remember my name!!! 11 out of 11 rating.

First time here and I was very pleased. Food was fresh and delicious. Prices are great and you get more than what you pay for. Delicious deserts. Customer service is remarkable. Friendly environment. Very welcoming. I will return!!!

We decided to stop by and have lunch there. There's a good variety of seafood. Different types of fish, also meat and salads. Service was good and friendly. We had to wait for 20 minutes to get our table, but there were a lot of people on Sunday. One thing that I would like to improve its possible to add salmon and mussels in the menu.

Service is always fast and courteous. Food comes out quick and hot. Big portions for the price so a great value. If you’re not a seafood lover they have plenty other options to chose from too.

Quite a delightful place to go for dinner. The food is very good and there is plenty of variety to choose from on the menu such as steaks, chicken, seafood, pastas, sandwiches and salads. A great kid's menu, scrumptious appetizers and tempting desserts. A basket of complimentary hushpuppies with honey butter starts off the meal. Everyone at our table got something different and all were pleased with their selection. The food portions are plentiful and I look forward to another night out to try something different. A repeat trip and were not disappointed. Our waitress was exceptional and we all walked away stuffed, happy and with leftovers.

We ordered the small plates and so glad we did because if they considered that the small plate, I can only imagine what the large plates looks like, it was so much food, to the point I still needed a to go box to finish the rest later. Everything can to us at a timely manner, very fresh and hot. Our waitress was very friendly the restaurant was very crowded, even with it being so crowded, we didn’t have to wait for them to clean a table for us it was ready and they walked us straight back. It can be a bit pricey but you get what you pay for.

My hubby got this as take out! Can you believe 7 pieces of whole freshest catfish that comes with 1 side (potato salad) and naturally he got another side of collard greens with hish puppies!!! He was in heaven!! Said well seasoned and delicious!

Oh yeah!!!! Thanking my brother for this little gem. I'm a fan of hushpuppies, and they have the best ones I've ever tasted in my life. OMG!! I ate so many I could barely eat my meal; which was amazing, by the way. Our server was super super good at his job. Shared a bit of history with us that explained his expertise. He was fabulous!! Captain Steve's gets my vote!! Oh and came out to this....

It has been over 4 years since I last visited this place and I am so happy that the food is still so delicious. OMG!! I couldn't even eat it all. I am in my happy, stuffed place right now. 😂

I’ve heard great things about this restaurant and I can attest to those comments! We visited this location for lunch on a Saturday afternoon with no wait. I ordered the fried flounder and fried oyster meal with collard greens. Everything was seasoned well and tasty! The hush puppies with honey butter is something new to me, but tastes great! I also noticed that they have many to-go customers which is a plus because that let’s me know that the taste of the food is most likely consistent.

Whole fried flounder was bland, slaw was good, fries were hot, overall, pretty good. Hubby had Calabash shrimp, which he always get, he loves it!

They DO NOT serve lunch specials on Sunday although, their website doesn't state that. So you pay twice as much for a lunch portion size on Sunday. Also when I looked in the box it looked like I had a lot of fish but, they only put the fish on top of more hushpuppies. See in the photos. Deceiving.

First time visiting Captain Steve's and it did NOT disappoint. Our server Joy was amazing and very very helpful in choosing our dishes. Thank you so much and compliments to the entire friendly staff. We'll be back!

EXCELLENT! The service was excellent too! Even though it was a busy Saturday night, Joy did a great job! The portions were generous too! We took a piece of the coconut cake with pineapple filling home. I highly recommend this dessert! Joy recommend it and she is absolutely correct, it's delicious!

Fun, easy going seafood eatery. Really large venue. Hush puppies to start. I found the prices to be reasonable and the service was friendly. I preferred the broiled seafood vs the fried due to the heaviness of frying. However, both were delicious. Great for a quick bite.

I've been in CLT since 2004 and have never been to this place. The fancy seafood places were all so terrible here that I never tried the home grown ones. This was my mistake. This place was spotless inside. The people were friendly and efficient at their jobs. We had Giovanni serving us and he was top notch. The food was all great too. My friend got a boiled hot shrimp plate. I ordered blackened flounder and perch, which I don't think I have ever had before. Everything was above par and the prices were very reasonable for lunch. Well done, Captain & team!

The food and the service was amazing. Needless to say we were full and will be back.

Everything was great including the service. Broiled scallops, collard greens, salad. Scallops are risky order but they nailed them perfectly! I will be back to try out the snapper next week. UPDATE- been there several more times, scallops are always perfect have had the grilled snapper, grilled grouper, Greek style shrimp, and believe it or not a whole lot of pork chop orders! All flawless, kids love the pizza and wife has enjoyed the Alfredo, fried shrimp, cheeseburger and hamburger steak. Their side salad is amazing and I love the sweet potato as well. The service from our many visits has been nothing short of amazing, even engaging with our kids, real family atmosphere! Obviously from the service and staffs positive and uplifting demeanor, captain Steve’s is owned and ran by someone that takes care of their employees and it’s pretty obvious to tell.

The positive sides are that the service was very good. Our waitress checked on us quite a bit and was friendly. The restaurant is nice - not great but okay. The food is definitely lack luster. Our calamari were clearly frozen and were more batter than meat. Our main meals were okay but not worth the price we paid. They also serve the butter and sour cream in packets which is cheap. I don't know why this place is always so packed. I seriously doubt we will ever go back.

The service wasn't too good, but the food was. My Alfredo did come out lukewarm but it was flavorful. The chicken tenders didn't have much flavor but they were huge! The flounder was FRESH! AND BIG! VERY FLAVORFUL! That might of been the best mozzarella sticks I ever had!!

Ordered pickup for lunch. Amazing as always. Didn't even ask for sauce, and I got 4! Love it!!

While visiting my family in Charlotte, my Son recommended that we eat here . The location was good, the parking was good. There was no wait time, in which the Hostess said that we were lucky. Our Server, Reggie was very friendly and very attentive to us ,he had an AMAZING sense of humor. Thank you Reggie!The food was DELICIOUS, served hot, very big portions for a reasonable price. I ordered the flounder platter. I ordered coconut cake, Everything was great! I highly recommend this restaurant, good atmosphere and definitely going back when I'm in Charlotte again, I'm from Virginia.

It’s been a minute since I had some good fried seafood. I ordered the scallops, shrimp and flounder with hush puppies and Cole slaw. We decided to try the carrot cake and key lime pie as well because it looked good. Everything was delicious…seriously. We waited like 25 mins for the food but it was worth it. It gets BUUUSSSSSYYYYY !!!! so yes expect to wait even if you called it in.
