There's a tour by a guide (Spanish only) who will provide a history of this old pharmacy, as well as the historical context of the surrounding area. At the end of the tour, you'll be led into a room that sells glass crafts made by artists.

Best pharmacology museum in the world with the most original products intact still in the bottles or packages. It is worth visiting Matanzas for this alone. Plan a good hour or more to visit. Guides are great. Don't forget to go upstairs and look out the balcony onto the park. Great view! When you are done go see Sauto Theater, Hotel Velasco, Municipal Museum, Museo de los Bomberos, Second Plaza de Armas and its buildings, Bellamar Caves, Memorial-Museum “El Morrillo”, Museo de Arte de Matanzas, Museo Provincial (Palacio de Junco), San Severino Castle, Yumurí Valley, Cafetal La Dionisia historical plantation (look it up on Google), Cueva Saturno, Playa Corales and between 5:50 and 620PM every night in from of this museum thousands of birds arrive and sign in unison. Don't miss it. We had food and drinks at the brand new hotel next door and watched Mother Nature at her best. Nature's free concert!

In one word: Amazing! Absolutely need to visit this place if you are in Matanzas. Well preserved pharmacy with very competent staff to show you around. Beautiful tools and preserved medicaments. Must visit. We also were allowed to check out the upper level, which used to be the private rooms of the pharmacy owners. Very interesting

Museum found by chance while wandering around Matanzas but worth the visit! Thanks to the guide Jorge I discovered and explored a pharmacy where time stood still: containers, stills, substances, oils, creams, medicines from all over Europe, machines to produce them, surgical instruments,… They are those preserved from the foundation at the end of the nineteenth century until its closure in 1964. A treasure chest of wonders not to be missed

Interesting museum. They tried to keep everything as it was decades ago. In this pharmacy, French and Cuban specialists developed a cure for cancer. The guide said that the effectiveness has been clinically proven. In addition to medicines and all kinds of containers for them, the devices with which the medicines were made are also presented here.

(Translated by Google) Pass the threshold and go back to the end of the 19th century. It is worth the explanation of the guide, which slowly transmits passion for this original and beautiful place. The last leg of the visit is over, where they try to sell you material in a room without any interest (Original) Pasar el umbral y retroceder a finales del siglo XIX.

Sehr interessant!

(Translated by Google) An interesting museum that very accurately reflects the life and work of a pharmacist of that time. The price for 2019 is 3 CUC per person. Separately, for 1 CUC, the 3rd floor can be shown, where the apothecary’s family itself lived and where from the balcony there is a wonderful view of the square in front of the pharmacy building.

(Translated by Google) Magnificent pharmacy museum founded by Ernest Triolet in 1882. Everything is kept in original condition. You can admire the main reception room for customers with its woodwork and pharmacopoeia jars. The back room is just as interesting, by the presence of period books, old devices used to manufacture the drugs of the time. In the back rooms you can see some stills and ovens as well as dryers for medicinal plants. If you are lucky to speak Spanish (even a little), you will be lucky to have a lot of explanation from the museum keeper. However, you have to pay an additional 5 CUC to have the right to take pictures. It is perhaps the most interesting building to visit in this city. Do not pay attention to the general condition of the facade of the building, the interior is properly maintained (Original) Magnifique musée de la pharmacie fondée par Ernest Triolet en 1882.
