We
were
at
Royal
Oaks
for
the
day,
and
decided
to
have
sit
down
dining,
instead
of
grabbing
fast
food
and
heading
back
to
the
other
side
of
the
state.
We
googled
food
in
the
area
and
thought
Ale
Mary's
was
a
promising
spot
as
there
were
TONS
of
vegan
options,
and
my
husband
is
vegan.
Parking
was
just
as
you'd
expect
in
the
city
-
metered
street
parking.
Downtown
was
vibing,
lots
of
great
energy,
people
having
fun.
We
didn't
have
a
reservation,
but
we
were
seated
immediately
outside.
It
was
a
beautiful
evening,
so
we
didn't
mind
at
all.
We
were
right
up
to
the
street,
but
didn't
feel
that
the
cars
were
too
close.
The
server
greeted
us
a
few
minutes
after
we
sat
down
-
I'd
say
after
5-7
minutes.
Server
handed
us
our
menus
and
water,
pushed
the
alcohol,
suggested
my
14
year
old
look
at
the
milkshakes
and
left.
Never
took
a
drink
order.
He
came
back
maybe
10
minutes
later
and
took
out
order,
and
we
had
to
tell
him,
we'd
like
something
other
than
water.
The
food
took
forever.
I
saw
a
couple
of
tables
the
restaurant
next
door
(Mesa),
sit
down
way
after
we
sat
down,
order,
eat
and
leave
before
we
even
got
our
food!
2
Tables!
It
was
about
1
hour
from
the
time
we
arrived
until
we
got
our
food.
I
got
the
fried
chicken
sliders,
my
son
got
chicken
and
waffles,
And
my
husband
got
the
vegan
chorizo
tacos.
The
Vegan
tacos
were
so
much
better
than
the
chicken
dishes.
The
fried
chicken
was
bland.
You
can
taste
that
the
chicken
had
not
been
brined
or
flavored
with
any
spices.
The
"secret
recipe"
batter
was
also
bland.
All
I
tasted
was
oil.
The
restaurant
was
depending
on
their
sauces,
and
even
the
sauces
didn't
do
the
job
because
there
wasn't
enough
of
it.
The
vegan
tacos
were
amazing
though.
I
had
a
taste
of
my
husband's
dish
and
it
was
amazing.
When
the
server
came
back,
we
were
not
done,
but
asked
for
the
bill.
We
were
running
behind
schedule
due
to
how
long
the
food
took
and
wanted
to
stop
a
Astoria
-
the
bakery
a
couple
of
doors
down
(be
sure
to
see
my
review
of
Astoria).
FYI,
it
appears
the
three
restaurants
that
had
seating
outside
are
all
owned
by
the
same
folk/s.
2
Shared
same
kitchens,
space
(separated
by
a
wall).
Ladies,
heads
up-
only
one
restroom
for
ladies
in
2
of
the
three
spots.
(I
didn't
see
the
3rd
location),
so
expect
a
long
wait.
Three
stars
because
the
cookie
monster
vegan
milkshake
and
vegan
tacos
were
amazing.
