I came up from Haarlem for a day of biking around Volendam, Edam, and the Waterland. Rent & Event made the whole process easy. They had the kind of bike I wanted--regular city bike, though there were plenty of electric bikes and scooters as well--the price was fair, and they didn't need a whole lot of documentation or hassles with deposits. All they did was take a photo of my driver's license and I was on my way. (They will also provide maps, information on where to go, and coupons for deals if you're interested in those things.) The fact that it is near the ferry to Market is icing on the cake. If you're looking to bike around a scenic area of the Netherlands, make use of what Rent & Event has to offer.

Best activity we did on our vacation!! Super friendly staff with great location. We rented amazing electric assist bikes. Very fun and enabled us to bike around the whole harbor, eat and take a beautiful ferry ride back. Would highly recommend!!!

Be careful with booking. Your reservation can be canceled because of overbooking without giving a reason. Support will answer you, but the new booking date will be already different. *update First booking was cancelled by phone because of my fault with date only and there was no any complains about it. Second booking was confirmed and after half of a day cancelled without any reason. After I contacted support they said that there is no sizes available. So you can book what in fact is sold out. This called overbooking.

I visited Volendam for a country side get away with my father. I called this shop in the morning and got a young lady named Star on the phone. She was absolutely great! She knows what service is all about. We ventured out to Volendam on the bus and couldn’t have enjoyed our day anymore than we did. My father and I took some photos with Star and she will forever be in our Holland memories. We rode for about 17km, the weather was perfect and the ferry ride return was a lovely ending...I can’t wait to visit again. I would recommend renting the scooters for 3 hours so you have the chance to get off and explore, otherwise you could be in a bit of a rush, depending on how far you want to go. Thanks again, ⭐️!!!

We rented 2 bicycles for the day. Professional service from the lady who assisted us. The bicycles are in very good condition. They have a range of options for hire: City Bike, Electric Bike, E-Fatbike, E-Chopper for 1 person or E-Chopper for 2 people.

We rented 4 e-motor bikes for 3 hours and it was just fun!!! The villages around Volendam are beautiful to visit, especially a visit at the cheese factory Jacob Hoeve in Katwoude and the coffee shop of Antonio, called Ijscafe Antonio, located at Eilandweg 5a in Broek in Waterland, with its great Illy coffee and superb cakes (awesome Tiramisu) are just a few to mention. The best of it is the flexible and super-friendly staff at „Rent & Event“! Thanks for a fun experience! Hope to be back soon again, but next time I‘ll rent for 6 or 9 hours.

We were 6 persons that wanted to visit Volendam for a couple of hours, having heard about its beauty. Two of us had the "I am Amsterdam" city card and they were included in the list of businesses offering services for free to the city card holders, in their case renting bikes, so we chose them and it turned out to be a great choice. The rest said that prices were good. The staff was very nice and we talked for a bit about various things, and we received information about Holland and Volendam. We also received from them a map with what we can see in and around Volendam and some discount coupons for a restaurant in Volendam and 10% discount for a cheese factory from which I bought 2 kg of cheese. Highly recommend!

Great bikes, great people, great service!

Only place where you will get lots of option to rent out a cycle or electric bikes.Electric bikes are bit costly here but there is no other option. They won't charge hour basis.They charge only on day basis.As Volendam is tourist place,they are charging little high which is depend on demand and supply concept.

We rent two bikes from these guys and it was just great! The bikes were strong and very well equipped, price was absolutely ok but the real plus was their kindness: we had a little inconvenient with one of the locks and they replaced our bike for free. Special mention for Willemijn, who assisted us and was so nice. Would definitely repeat the experience! It is a wonderful area for bike and nature lovers and they helped us enjoy it to the fullest.

Awesome time! So much fun. Did the 3 hour rental and took loop to Marken and back on ferry. Staff was super helpful and friendly. We were late coming back on the ferry because the one boat could not accommodate us and we had to wait for the next. They were very understanding. Some of the route was a little confusing and my phone GPS was a nice aid. Anyone we talked to on the street was very friendly and helpful. Stopped at the cheese factory and bought some cheese to take with me. Tip: bring a backpack to carry purchased items since there are no baskets to put them in. Some scooters were slower than others. Mine was the fastest, clocking in at 36km/hr but some were only good for 24km/hr, so try to get a fast one! Very fun.

The bikes are great quality and staff were super helpful. Also, they had a toilet available, which is a big deal during COVID :) Biking Volendam, Monnikendam, and Marken made for a lovely day trip from Amsterdan. Highly recommend!
