Best place in town for coffee. I specially love the vegan pastries and I think their cortado is my fav. Staff is also amazing, especially the short Spanish barista, she’s always the nicest and the most consistent at making coffees!

Such a disappointment. Sour, watery americano, sour, tasteless espresso. The coffee splashed out all over the cup. Filthy milk jug. What a pity, because the place seems to have a vibe. The interior looks great. The lady behind the counter could be more polite.

Cosy atmosphere, nice staff and great coffee variation (and staff takes the time to explain the different coffee beans). Cakes are homemade and vegan. Also very stylish cycling- shop attached to it! Will go again 😊

By far the best spot in Maastricht (&Valkenburg) if you like true specialty coffees. Besides great coffee the cakes are super tasty as well and as a cyclist I really appreciate their collection of cycling apparel from brands like Etxeondo and Coffee before cycling!!

Very nice place with a relaxed vibe. Their Coffees are very good and of high quality. I would definetely recommend people to go their! Their cakes, which are (mostly) vegan, are homemade and have delicious taste. Perfect spot for cyclists, but also for people who want to study or simply want to enjoy a nice Coffee!

Great coffee & a lot of vegan options ! I went there to study with a friend and we had a good study session. Beware that not all spots can be used to study, but in my opinion it’s ultimately for the best since it’s all the places where you can plug in your charger

By far my favorite specialty coffee place in Maastricht. I come in multiple times a week for a slice of the home made cakes and a great cup of coffee. I recommend it to anyone looking for a good cup of coffee. They also have nice study facilities for all students out there, or people that want a change of scenery from the office.

The place to be whether you’re a motivated cyclist or a hard working student in search of good coffee and cakes made by wonderful people. Best flat white I’ve had in a while. A must go. Has great and quiet studying places for students to knuckle down on the papers and also benches for cyclists post intervals

As a student/cyclist this is the spot to go! Whenever I'm in need of a good coffee with some nice cake I'll go here for sure! It's also a very nice place to study, or whenever I did a good ride I'll finish with a coffee at Fixed Gear Coffee. I always feel welcome and that the staff will listen to my stories or help me whenever I am having trouble with my bike.

Amazing coffee, energizing (homemade and vegan) cakes, an inside bike-parking and the coolest cycling clothes/apparel! At this place you'll find everything you want, especially as a cyclist. Don't be afraid to enter when your not in cycling kit, there are study tables and comfy places to sit too so everyone can enjoy their coffee at any time of the day. All coffee's are made with fresh beans of worlds best roasters and available in their iced version plus there's no charge for oat milk! My favorites are their flat white and banana bread. When it's hot I always go for an iced latte with oat milk.

By far the best coffee you can have in this corner of the Netherlands. Yes, and they have bike stuff, too.

Came here as a recommendation of a friend of mine who said that he never tasted any coffee as good as this. Apparently they have the best roaster in the U.S. here on display. Tried it and it was amazing, together with some super tasty cookies. The owners were very nice. They told me about their plans of moving to a bigger and better location even more central. I asked for a stamp card as I'm definitely coming back next time I'm in Maastricht.

Very nice cafe and ambience, including the drinks! However, I had wait to 40 minutes for the drink I ordered and staff gave off an annoyed and rude impression. In addition to that, they told us to order a coffee more than once if we want to stay longer and study.

We had a really good experience at Fixed gear coffee. The concept is unique and the atmosphere is really welcoming and warm. Had a really nice chat about coffee with the baristas working behind the bar. We felt the passion and love for their products. Furthermore the coffee experience we had was fantastic. Highly recommended!!!

The best place in Maastricht to go for coffee and work remotely within a very nice (absolutely not distracting) vibe! The place looks amazing from the inside and the people working there are very friendly. The coffees here are simply the best and you really feel comfortable inside. I simply love visiting this place and would recommend everyone to go here once (at least!) for a coffee and experience the vibe. PS: added bonus is that they also have very nice food/shake options.

Fixed Gear is a wonderful establishment. I found it on Google Maps back in November after searching for the best cafe in town and pinned it as my next Maastricht coffee haunt. A couple months later, I came back and I was very happy with my experience. I got a cortado and a banana bread to go with my coffee. It was delicious. The staff are very knowledgeable about their coffee and kind people. The service was great. I definitely recommend this place!

Spacious cafe in Grote Gracht, with a nice ambience to chat or work. Inside you can also find a well assorted shop for cyclist passionates with nice sportswear and casual ware.

Hard working staff that makes delicious coffee with high quality roasts. Desserts are very tasty with vegan options too. Definitely must try. Neighbourhood coffeeshop that looks out for the people living around it. Much appreciated!

Unfortunately ended up being a little dissapointed by the quality of the beverages. Coffee I got was burnt, but that can happen. My dissapointment extended when I got my toast - which was not a toast. Basically a mini slice of bread with ends of a cheese stick and some supermarket tomatoes on top for 6 EUR

Decent coffee place which I've been to 4 or 5 times. Coffee and snacks are good and the prices are relative for the area. A decent selection of vegan desserts, unfortunately they don't make the croissants vegan which would be the main thing I'd buy. Would have 5 stars if it were not for an odd encounter with the waitress who served me dairy milk when I asked for oat, and then tried to shift the blame onto me for not being clear enough.

I was in the café a while ago, they have great coffee and the brownie is gooey and delicious. The staff that were helping me were really lovely and friendly, however the way that their manager speaks to his employees was very off-putting. He was very rude with his tone and language directed to the other staff and this has put me off the café a little, which is a shame because everything else was great...
