Portion size is great. I ordered Veg Matar Paneer. It was served with Basmati size. I ordered extra naan along with it. It was filling. Mango Lassi was thick and rich. It was appropriately sweet. Decent ambience. Staff can speak Hindi, English and German. Music played in the background was also good. Worth for money!

went inside with hopes of a flavor fiesta, but was met with a performance that could use a few more rehearsals. The waiter seemed to be auditioning for 'Who Can Smile the Least?' while the curry gave off a nostalgic aroma... from a few days ago!!!

Worst Indian Food & Restaurant Experience! We visited this place for Indian Tea, some Snacks and Dinner. Even asking before even grabbing a seat in Restaurant, if they had Ginger tea to which they said yes, we were served with a Dip tea (not at all close to Indian Ginger Tea) with no or little milk and NO Ginger. Samosas are the ones we get as Frozen ones in Indian Supermarkets and rest of the food had nothing but a Lot & Lot of Red Chilly. We mentioned them very explicitly we are seeking authentic, tasteful Indian food and the result was additional Red Chilly Powder in every dish. Garlic Naan were worst, they were served without a single drop of Butter. So tough and dry to eat. On top of all the extra red Chilly Powder and Dried Garlic Naan, they do not serve you even with Normal Tap Water, and you need to order it too. Not at all recommended. Total waste of Money and Digestive system. Recommendation to Staff - If you do not serve or provide the dishes (even Tea) as per the expectation or ask of Customer it would be good to let them know beforehand. Just saying yes and serving nothing close to what was asked is really really bad Money Making bluff. We could also make from your change in gesture before placing the order and after actually having it, not trying to catch up conversation to have honest feedback won't help.

Good Indian food, it is better than the other Raja Rani place and cheaper for some dishes. But I have had better. Besides this the atmosphere in this place is better and the waiters go to your table. Mango curry and tandoori grilled meats were nice. Besides this the shakes they have are delicious. Also the desserts are delicious.

From the main dishes and snacks to the natural beverages, everything was super tasty and amazingly delicious. The personal was also super nice. Totally recommend it.

The curries, we ordered were of average taste. They had a lot of food colors in them. The portion of curries were just enough for one person. Naan were not actually Naan, but appeared to be Tandoori Roti in shape, size and taste. Staff was friendly and the cost of food was low, these were the only positives I felt.

The authentic Indian Taste made me nostalgic. Very good ambience. Excellent service. The prices are pretty competitive. Had a wonderful lunch. True ambassadors of Indian Cuisine.

Compared to the reviews available, the food was OK. The chicken was a bit hard. Between the ordering time and the food delivery time, it was only about a gap of 15 mnt. Which tells that, majority, everything was prepared before. The Samosa's had nearly no taste however the pakroas were good. Once requested for extra chutney, the reply was that chutney is not prepared however, most of all chutneys are always prepared. Due to more number of guests, the service was very poor and the personnel was only focused in bringing the food on the table and also told me during the payment that, due to more number of guests, it was a bit hectic for me, however he took the full amount from me but the service was not upto the expectations. Will never ever, visit again. Kindly concentrate on proper service for all guests as you take 100% of money from all. Having more customers should give a positive effect and not a negative experience as I got. Not authentic Indian food but a try of providing something similar. My bill was 40.07 however, I pad 5 euros extra for THE CHUTNEY THAT I WAS OFFERED AFTER REQUESTING 3 TIMES AND FOR THE CHUTNEY WHICH I WAS NOT OFFERED AS WELL.

The restaurant was pretty average in terms of food, ambience and service. Prices were reasonable. It is located close to the main street.

We love Indian cousine, and we were quite disappointed with the quality of the food. The portions were rather small, and the taste was not that good - we almost gave up on the potato stuffed bread. The atmosphere was ok.

The quality-price relation is okey. It's not expensive but also some of the dishes that have rice and chicken in them, you basically have 80% rice and not that much meat. I would recommend the Butter chicken, not that much the Biryanu one, as it was a bit dry. The place is near the center but a bit a part so if it's early you can find a spot easily. The staff is nice and the service is fast.

Food was really good and people were so nice, friendly. Owners were very welcoming and talkative. Location is in the heart of the town.

The food was alright, but I've had better. I ordered Chicken Tandoori Masala which had very tender chicken, but it could have used some more spices. It was a bit bland. The restaurant is very basic, but the staff is nice. I recommend for the prices, but don't expect to be blown away.

Great food, prices are high but not much higher than the Altstadt-average. Super quick and nice service! Would go back

Delicious north food, affordable price, bollywood music and cozy arrangement. 5* for food, 1* for attitude the server showed. Our server did not listen/note carefully, hence he served the dishes we did not ordered as well. Maybe he had a long day. Anyway food is good so going to visit again.

Great hospitality of the hosts; location is close to the Marktplatz but in a nice quiet alley; delicious Indian food that tastes authentic (I'm Indian so I know haha). I'd definitely visit again when I come back to Heidelberg. P.S. we had matar paneer and paneer tikka masala with naan and rice. Also tried the mango lassi. 10/10 for all items.

It's a small restaurant with good ambience and service. But food was not so good.We ordered chicken chilli special and chicken kadai both tasted same with slight variation. Mango lassy was not so thick unlike in other Indian restaurants.Naan was too thick and dry. Lamm was not fully cooked in lamm samosa. Veggie Pakoras tasted ok. No cards are accepted only cash.Prices are not so costly in comparison with other restaurants. Needs more improvements interms of taste of the food items as well as quality ( though we saw that food colors are being used more).

It’s an Indian restaurant offering eastern food including biryani, curries, rice, salads, regional snacks from Sub-Continent. Owner is a lady from India a very pleasant person trying her best to give pure taste. Prices are slightly higher and food can be too spicy 🌶 🥵 for some people even from subcontinent. I am from Pakistan and it was spicy for me.

I had a great evening at this restaurant which is why I am a bit surprised about some of the negative reviews here.. Food was really tasty (incl. the Naan) and the waiter was very nice and also asked several times if we’re good! Top I’d say :)

This place in Heidelberg old town where you can get good Indian food. Prices are also not so high. Service is good. Highly recommended

Bad treatment to the customer. They try to make you eat and leave as soon as possible. It’s also dirty and food is far from good. Hadn’t eaten it if it weren’t because I was starving when I came in. Definitely to avoid.

Tucked in a very peaceful part of the city of Heidelberg. The hotel gives a cute vibe of a small Indian restaurant and the staffs were really good. For drinks we ordered the mango and Jeera lassi which turned out to be very refreshing in the scorching heat. We were really hopeful that the food turned out equally good as the drinks, sadly that wasn’t the case. We ordered garlic naan, chicken biriyani, Rotis and Karahi ghost. Everything on the main course except the rotis turned out to be a disappointment. The chicken biriyani had a taste of sauce. The naan couldn’t have gone wrong usually, but even that wasn’t great. So I can hardly recommend this place. Just made me doubt my search for good authentic Indian restaurant in Germany!

We tried this place for quick indian lunch and food was very good. It's right there in the old city walkable distance from many attractions.

Food was good. We tried 2 dishes in the main course (Paneer Tikka masala and mushroom masala), samosa's and mango lassi. Everything was good. We asked the chef to make dishes a little spicy and they accepted our request and made the dish as per our requirements. The attendants were polite and helpful. I would recommend this place after a great trip in Heidelberg.
