Very friendly owner with her mom run this sweet b&b. The owner even brought us our pre-ordered fresh bread when we slept over :p and cooked us delicious sheep dinner; The feeding sheep & lamb experience with her mom is amazing; they also have all sorts of nice sheep delicacies e.g. worstenbroodje & lanoline extract/ soap (own shop); Quite, friendly & safe camping sites well located nearby the famous Loonse and Drunense duinen; Good hygiene and environment friendly, what's more providing good cleaning products; The green caravan experience is nice, even though has no floor heating, you don't need to worry about temperature difference when go out to toilet as it is the same, and the blanket is very warm, plus there's small portable heater, we had a fun game night in this green caravan. We love to come back here again since my partner was here 3 years ago ;) Tip: breakfast is awesome!

We arrived on a rainy evening with our tent. They let us stop in their games room overnight because of the rain. Very friendly and helpful. Nice place, gift shop, B&Bs, window farm life in the games room was good. Would whole heartedly recommend.

We booked camping online through their website fairly shortly before we arrived. Last minute plans whilst travelling! Due to this I don't think we were expected upon our arrival due to the owners being busy with the sheep in lambing. Despite this they welcomed us to the site, showed us all of the available facilities and sorted us an electric hookup for our camper. We slept very well and used the shower facilities in the morning which were spotless! Extremely clean! Lambs had been born during the night of our stay too so we got to meet those in the morning which was fantastic! Highly recommended!

A very clean camping which is very suitable for small children with a playing ground and toys. The nature surrounding Hoeve De Mertel is very beautiful and offers a wide selection of activities

Small campsite with all the facilities. Farm setting. Proprietor very helpful. Plenty of cycle routes. 2 small villages nearby

Excellent service and good breakfast, with nice restaurant down the road as an alternative
