I was walking around this castle during the night time with my local friend. If you like historical places and “time machine” feeling so I highly recommend you to visit this place when nobody is around

One of the oldest castles in the Netherlands, built in the 11th century. Located on the edge of the small village of Horn and the Maas. This castle, built by the people who collected tolls from those who wanted to cross the Meuse, was later owned by several counts. Nice place to walk and located near Roermond.

A beautiful, hidden place, only found by chance. Very quiet on weekends. Unfortunately the castle was closed.

It looks nice and interesting, but when i visited it, it was close. So the reason to give it that low mark is because it is part of history but unavialable

Beautiful open garden around the castle. Not great, but enjoyable.

Not entirely authentically restored castle from the 13th century, unfortunately not open to the public, but the parks are worth it!

The castle is privately owned and as such inaccessible to the general public. Still, you can get a decent enough look from the road.

Beautiful castle for a short visit. When we were there with 2 young kids, the castle was closed. we took a nice stroll around the park. Good to spend an hour or two here.

It was nice walking around the place. The garden is not spectacular, it's just a garden. It's nice walking around the property. However you cannot visit the castle because it is privately owned.
