Completed Treetop Challenge, really enjoyed the experience. Physically tough in areas but has easy bypass sections if it’s too much. 5 different areas to challenge. Airborne zip lines really fun. Would advise to wear gloves with grips or fingerless gloves to avoid rope burns and hoodie or hat if it’s windy, gets a bit cold on the ears up high.

Absolutely amazing day at Go Ape Buxton for my son's 13th birthday. We brought his friend who has some physical disabilities, we were all more than ready to plod on as the lad is very confident and determined but the staff, without even asking, provided some adjustments to make getting about easier and waited at the bottom of the zip lines to use a carabiner line to reduce the impact of his landings. It was a really nice touch to an already friendly and welcoming atmosphere. You're very well taken care of without even realising it (the staff just appear from the undergrowth at random points), a must-do experience, especially if you're afraid of heights and want to get over your phobia.

Fun, challenging day. Feel like a big kid climbing up trees and zip-lining down or balancing on walkways between the platforms. Very safe with harness and clip in gear provided plus safety demonstrations & practice at start. Not suitable for tiny children but older kids would love it.

Such a great experience! I booked the Treetop Challenge after reading numerous reviews and understanding if I would be able to do it. Of course I was and made me so proud of myself. Every step is explained throughoughly by the staff and then you are left to enjoy the experience. Wooden bridges, rope bridges, rings bridges, Zip Lines and Tarzan Ropes. Excellent combos! At the end I also received a certificate to brag to all my friends about my accomplishments. As a conclusion: I felt extremely safe and even if I was shaking sometimes, that was just because of the adrenaline!

Absolutely amazing. Expect to be there at least 3 hours. It is challenging and tests you mentally and physically. We loved it and are booking to do the Go-ape in Sherwood in October. We'll worth the money.

What a fantastic experience at Buxton. Our instructor, Holly was very clear with her instructions and very helpful when needed, chatty and bubbly which is always nice to start the experience with. A big thumbs up for the whole experience. Well worth the 2 hour drive to get there. Would definitely recommend a visit

The activity was good fun - exciting zip lines and bridges and suchlike - and the five stars are due to the staff. I was there with my sister, we were at opposite ends of the confidence spectrum, and the lady looking after our group (Erica) was supportive and encouraging in a way my somewhat vertigo-afflicted sister found really helpful without being patronising. Thanks!

This place is amazing. One of the highest, one of the scariest and one of the most adrenaline pumping tree top adventures we've been to. The staff are absolutely brilliant and made whole day really fun. Great for kids and adults alike. What more can I say? Would highly recommend.

I took my 10yr old daughter for the 1st time today. The instructor was helpful and thorough. The course was brilliant fun and we both had a brilliant afternoon. It took 3 hours to go round from the start of the instruction to the final zip wire. Worth every penny.

  • 5/5 Cat M. 2 years ago on Google
Great experience. The staff were super friendly and made it very clear and easy to understand what you have to do in regards to safety etc. There is 5 courses which our group of 3 found a bit too easy but fun none the less. It was £35/adult which is a little pricey considering we were finished in around 40minutes. Could do with a few harder courses for 18+. Lots of parking and a cafe about 200m away.

  • 5/5 Debbie E. 2 years ago on Google
Excellent! Such an enjoyable experience. Great variety of courses with options to go for harder or easier routes.

    Fantastic experience, very friendly staff.

  • 5/5 Jonathan M. 2 years ago on Google
Absolutely terrible. But that's because I hate heights. I took my daughter as she loves this type of thing and the activity is very well organised, great staff and very safe. As I've never done a similar activity I can't compare the course, but there seemed to be a good mix of zip lines and types of crossing. Great experience.

  • 5/5 Nikkie M. 2 years ago on Google
Done a lot of go apes, particularly enjoyed this one because it's not in a centre amongst other activities so it's very quiet. Staff were lovely as always and the routes were a bit different, lots of zip wires which was fun. Highly recommend. Parking is reasonable and you can pay contactless

My kids loved it! This was a great day out for all the family and the staff were great!

A smaller go ape site with a lot to offer! Our instructor Rachel was absolutely brilliant and so lovely and kind! All other members of staff who we had the pleasure to speak to were all wholesome and awesome!

Myself and a group of friends visited the Go Ape in Buxton recently. The instructors guided us through the use of the equipment and made sure we understood the safety protocols before we set off. The activities themselves were fun and exciting - plenty of variety between the different challenges. Would definitely recommend for a fun afternoon out in nature!

Visited here with my daughter, the team are friendly and welcoming. The briefing before you start is short and well presented the site is fun and well maintained overall a great place to visit. If you planning to go make a day of it as the £10 parking fee charged by Forestry England adds a hefty cost. There are plenty of other activities within the forest.

  • 5/5 Rob K. 6 months ago on Google
Fabulous. Staff were really friendly and welcoming. It's not for the faint hearted, and if your terrified of heights don't even bother 😂 but it is a great adrenaline chaser and a scary-but-safe activity if you follow all the guidance from the instructors. Highly recommended 👍🏻

Phenomenal experience, the staff were amazing and the location is beautiful. Although I am terrified of heights I would really suggest trying it as the staff were very supportive and it’s a very unique experience. The whole process requires a decent level of fitness, however I am sure any determined individual could complete it irregardless of physical health. Our briefing was done by Ellie, she was both polite and engaging during the whole process which really helped boost confidence. The course itself is well maintained and offers a varied experience catering for all abilities, as it is broken into stages it builds you up very gradually - which again is ideal for newcomers. Signage and explanations are also spread around the course so it’s quite difficult to make mistakes, any of the hard / physically demanding parts are also made optional which I personally liked. At the end you are also given a certificate and a warm welcome back to solid ground (which I missed greatly). Overall a great day out and would happily return again!

Amazing. A real highlight for us and our Kiwi visitors. Laura led our group. Very professional but upbeat and fun. Thank you. All felt very safe with training base. clip on climbing mechanisms and onward staff support as required. Grinlow Woods such a great location too with lovely Pooles Cavern cafe with more great, smiley people, and of course Solomon's Temple affording panoramic views. Do it!

I'm thrilled to give Go Ape in Buxton a well-deserved 5-star review! My 11-year-old son and my wife had an amazing time there, conquering challenges and fears on the course. The staff were exceptional - friendly, attentive, and truly made the experience brilliant. We couldn't have asked for a better adventure!

Brilliant Go Ape course! Really knowledgable and friendly instructors who are always on hand to help and so welcoming. The course itself is great fun for all ages, perfect for an afternoon out! So great to be having fun outside! Highly recommend if you’re ever in Buxton!

Went for a stag do with a bunch of blokes who aren’t really fans of heights. The activity itself was liberating and extremely fun. The ladies looking after us were incredibly supportive of everyone especially those of us who got stuck on the zip line (through doing what was drilled into us.Superb-day

We had the best time at Go Ape recently! My husband & I completed the treetop challenge! It was so much fun, hard work but that’s what it’s all about! So when you finish it’s all worth it! The zip wires are amazing!

Such a fun day! Our instructor Dana took us through everything so we felt really safe, she was calm and clear but the safety brief also felt casual and fun! Got chatting to the other people in our group which was lovely, there was a real atmosphere of everyone helping each other out. The course was fun and in beautiful woodland surroundings! A perfect peak district day out - walking distance from town as well. Definitely recommend!

We enjoyed so much!Great adventure. Great team!Staff helped one of my friend to get off because she never tried before and she was scared. Straight away they helped her.I appreciate their job. Safety first of all! We will definitely come back!

Have done plenty of rope courses with my 2 girls (and the wife joined in on this one). We came away thinking this was the best yet! Nice how it's broken up into 5 sections, we were entertained for way longer than we expected. Tricky but good tricky .... being challenging and scary in places but always safe. Not just 1 but several really long zip lines! Great staff who were happy to see us and make sure we understood everything.

  • 5/5 Rachel M. 1 year ago on Google
So much fun!!!! It seems a little daunting at first but the staff are very clear with their instructions and walk you through the first part of the course until you feel comfortable. I would highly recommend! The wooded area the course is in is incredibly beautiful with the autumn colours right now too

  • 5/5 Bill B. 3 years ago on Google
Absolutely brilliant. Went here yesterday with my daughter and we loved it. I think this is one of the best GoApe courses in the country. It is high, fun, challenging and in a beech woodland rather than conifers which makes you feel right up amongst the trees.

  • 4/5 Rosie B. 3 years ago on Google
We found the instructions a little lacking, especially as they were mostly given by an automated speaker, whereas in the past we’ve had more engaging talks from other Go Ape sites. That being said, the actual course was one of the best I’ve done and I would highly recommend for anyone considering visiting Buxton!

  • 5/5 Bob G. 3 years ago on Google
The place was really interesting.. was cold and raining when we arrived. Covid distancing was in force but didnt spoil our visit. The staff were very vigalant to the distancing and cleanliness of items. They were very helpful and very polite. Prices were fair and parking was only £2.00 for 3 hours. You have to book in advance.. Could have stayed longer but the weather beat us, it was mid December 2020. We will return in 2021 and pick a better day..

  • 5/5 Elesha B. 3 years ago on Google
Was a really good course, staff friendly and helpful.. Such a good day out and a laugh.. A must do in Buxton

  • 5/5 Tomasz L. 3 years ago on Google
Awesome place however would not recommend under the age of 11-12 probably, unless kid is relatively high and strong. Highest point in the trees of about 20m and longest slide od 160m really give the fear and excitement. Strongly recommend.

We visited today as a family of four. The care, professionalism, enthusiasm and even encouragement of the staff has left a wonderful impression with me. We also had fellow go ape visitors encourage my wife during the more elevated sections. It's an excellent choice for a day outdoors with your family. I will certainly visit again. Thank you GoApe.

  • 5/5 Lee W. 3 years ago on Google
It goes without saying that you should not do this if you are even slightly scared of heights! The team at GoApe are very professional and give you an in depth instructions on everything you need to do to be safe throughout the course BUT!... You are responsible for your own safety! After the starting section you are left to go though the course at your own pace. If you can't do something - you are goosed! And prepare to wait 30 mins to be embarrassingly saved... If you like trills then this is the course for you! HUGE zip lines, loads of challenging crosses, and all whilst being 20m above the ground at all times.

  • 5/5 Daniel C. 3 years ago on Google
Very fun with nice and helpful staff. They assisted my mother who initially had issues with the heights.
