No one will take your order, you wait in line at cash register, but that’s not obvious when you enter. Menus are in a cubby that you take to look at, but there’s a sign saying don’t take menu and you don’t know what you’re supposed to do. You don’t have time to look at the menu because the cashier impatiently stares at you expecting you to order right away like you’ve already memorized the menu. They charge for water. On the business days/times for other restaurants, this one is empty. Food is created as cheap as possible and they nickel and dime you for even extra cups of sauce. Avoid.

Wonderful food, wonderful people! My daughter ate here regularly while attending NCSSM and she's pretty picky, esp with Mediterranean food. In fact the night before graduation I asked her where she would like to eat for her last meal in Durham and this was her immediate choice! Thanks for taking such great care of my child and feeding her so well while she was away these past 2 years. I appreciate you!

I ordered the kufta platter with Lebanese salad. The kufta meat was dry and not tasteful at all. The salad was old with zero cucumbers and the lettuce was brown. This was a total waste of my time and money. If I could give 0 as a star rating I would. I even contacted the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager on duty but the person that answered my call was rude and didn’t know if or when the manager will be in. Furthermore the restaurant smelled bad…like dirty dish water and their food reflects that. I really don’t know how they remain in business.

I got the Kufta Kebob platter and the meat was very dry, unseasoned and not flavorful. It was extremely disappointing, especially compared to other Mediterranean food I’ve had before. After looking at other reviews it seems like other customers had the same complaints about the platter indicating that this is a consistent issue. I wouldn’t recommend ordering this dish. That being said, the hummus and side salad tasted good. I also tried the gyro platter which was okay — the meat wasn’t tough and dry like the Kufta. If I return I’ll probably stick to a gyro wrap when I order.

First time I went it was great, I loved it. The second time, I took my sister with me and EVERYTHING tasted old and funny. The meat in the gyro, the bread, the lettuce, and even the fries. The best thing we got was the fountain drinks. Really disappointed.

Absolutely amazing first time at International Delights. While it's a small restaurant, I love that they had excellent customer service. The quality and amount of food for the price is excellent. I can say that I'll definitely be back regularly.

Good hot food cooked to order. Plenty of seating, fountain drinks, Mediterranean and International dishes. Reasonable pricing, quick service, nice crew as well. Also NO ketchup, see the images - owner mandate.

The food is so good! Amazing customer service. I called and whoever picked up the phone was really nice. I also went in, and the people were really nice. Not the best steak and cheese cause I'm biased, but definitely the best in North Carolina. Only trying them due to travel, and I've probably ordered 5 times with 0 regrets. Their fries are also so good. A little heavy handed on the salt, but not salty. Like perfect

My wife & I ate lunch at noon on a Saturday, so few other customers were there. Our first visit, and we're not experts at Middle Eastern cuisine. I chose the Signature Bowl with quinoa instead of rice. It was tasty, though the marinade seemed to overwhelm the chicken flavor. The hummus & warm pita were nice! My wife tried the Chicken Shawermah. She says it seemed a bit dry (perhaps coming off the grill), and didn't taste like that item when she makes it in oven at home. Service was fast, portions were good size. We didn't try desserts this time. Interesting wall "posters" with currencies from around the world.

The fries were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The gyro was huge and delicious. Staff was very friendly. I may have a new go-to place.

Lamb gyro very good (which makes me happy this place is still open, it is a 9th St. Institution). Skip the chicken shawarma- tasteless, dry, rubbery! Baba Ghanouj tasted very burnt.

I’ve been eating here for 20+ years and never had a complaint. I love Mediterranean food, so I feel guilty ordering the steak sandwich as often as I do but it is the best steak sandwich I have ever had. The entire menu is fantastic but the steak sandwich is my guilty pleasure. Friendly, family run place that is always quick and clean.

I went to international delights today with my brother. The food was amazing. The staff were courteous & generous. They truly represent Lebanese & Mediterranean values. Will definitely come back again.

I've been wanting Greek food and haven't been able to find one. So, I tried this place out. Never again. Gyros is not their thing. The chicken had not one spec of seasoning on it. It made the gyro taste bland and not enough zeki sauce, so it ended up turning wet and sloppy. Parking is horrible, so good luck with that. O, not to mention I asked for cheese, which I'm sure they charged extra for was not on the gyro at all. Will say the salad was decent.

The food was served on paper plates with plastic cutlery. The quantity was not even enough for a kid. The quality was horrible. The chicken was hardly cooked and it was cold. No value for money at all. You will enter hungry and exit angry. I recommend you go and eat at Panera Bread across the street. It will be much better.

My husband and I needed to feed a party of ~30 people, but did not want to have the event formally catered. International Delights was the perfect solution - calling just a few days ahead, I was able to place a bulk order for tabbouleh, hummus, baba ghanoush, pita and baklava. All I can say is WOW! The food was ready to pick up as soon as I arrived, was well presented, and absolutely DELICIOUS and flavorful, and our guests GREATLY ENJOYED everything!!! This also wound up being a very economical solution for us to feed a group of this size. I was totally impressed and thrilled with my experience and would recommend this delightful restaurant to everyone. There is a reason they are a 9th Street institution. THANK YOU International Delights!!!

Having been spoiled by consistently delicious Middle Eastern food in the DC area, this place was truly a disappointment. The chicken shwarma was basically grilled dried-out chicken with no seasoning or spices. I regret disregarding the reviews mentioning the same on here.

My gyro wasn't good at all...pitabread was burnt and hard plus the 4 pieces of Lamb wasn't good ...very disappointed

I stumbled across this treasure trove of good food by accident this afternoon. Polite service, clean inside, food is good and not much of a wait. Only place around the triangle I've found that serves gyros cooked the right way. Simply the best Mediterranean food I've had in the Triangle in at least 20 years. Prices are amazing for this region - very generous portions for under $10.

Falafels and sandwiches were all awesome. Hummus is wonderful. Will be going back for sure.

We have heard great things about this local spot and were excited to try it. We ordered the international sampler and chicken shawarma with grape leaves. The best part of the meal was the falafel but the shawarma chicken was dry and not flavorful, looked old even - probably should have returned it. Hummus, tabouli and rice were all flavorless and the grape leaves were warm and soggy. Service was lacking and food was not worth the $30. Definitely a bummer of an experience and wouldn’t recommend as there are much better places in Durham.

Kofta was Like eating paper. The kofta was mostly veggie, bland, dry, and cold. Ive lived in the middle east so I know what kofta should taste like. The plus: one of the staff noticed and gave us complimentary baklava. Maybe something else on the menu will be better.

Literally top 3 cheese steaks I've ever eaten. The seasoning... then I think they use a lil oil and vinegar... whatever they do.. its the business. And they have chicken or beef for the non red meat folk.

Polite staff, unique ambiance, and decent food. The mint tea is amazing! Great place to share lunch and food with friends.

This place is literally the best outside of the Mediterranean. Food is great and authentic and the owners are some of the best people I've ever met. If you haven't tried them yet, give it a shot. I've been going here with my family since I moved to Durham in 2007. I now live in KC and still give this place a visit everytime I'm in the area.
