the host: Jasmine, is such a TERRIBLE host! she just stands at the entrance with a SULKY FACE! and when i asked her nicely how much was entry fee, she said that she didn’t know. what’s the point of you being a host then? i didn’t even know she was a host until i saw her nametag and i’m so glad i did so that i could call her out. she’s so NOT friendly and NOT approachable. please find a different host who is kinder and has a friendlier smile! i had to ask a customer how much was the entry fee: $20

Got denied entry 5 minutes ago, haven't had a single drink and I don't touch drugs, apparently I'm too intoxicated. couldn't possibly be the fact that I'm 6'6" and tower over the poor excuse of a 5'6 bald security guard power and ego tripping me, was nothing but respectful too, didn't bother arguing. get better security, bartenders are cool and the 6'7" security guard is a good bloke, actually has his head set straight unlike bald manlet with the build of a year 9 student.

Great place to dance

Avoid this place if you have males in your group. Bouncers are horrible power trippers. Refused entry to a male in our group that had had two drinks beforehand on the basis that he was intoxicated. Of course he wasn't. It was a shame because we were having a great time with the Wicked pub crawl crew before. Wicked should cut the Cocktail Bar out of the crawl all together. Given the bouncers' attitudes, I would expect that this sort of thing happens all the time at the Cocktail Bar. Avoid this place!

I was kicked out of this nightclub for allegedly being on drugs. I hadn't taken anything at all and was escorted out. I talked to the bouncer and he said he was sorry but it was the bar tenders call. I have to say am thourghly disappointed as I asked for a drug test and they said said they wouldn't drug test me regardless. This wouldve been a good experience otherwise but unfortunately this occurance left me feeling bitter

Worst security.

Amazing service. Staff were super friendly, especially Kylah and Shelby who went out of their way to ensure that we received the best service at this bar, and if I were to come back with my mates, it would only be because they made it an extremely good experience. Would definitely come again and recommend this bar to everyone else that comes to surfers.

went in the other night with friends, the place was great in general but Maddy was definitely a highlight, super friendly unlike the staff I've seen at other clubs and managed to remember our faces, always saying hi when we came back in. will definitely be coming back

Cocktails staff are absolute pigs. They touched my sister and also made me feel unsafe. Horrible place, disgusting and unwelcoming environment. Be careful here it is extremely dangerous for girls and guys, my drink was spiked and I think it may have been the bar man who was trying to get at my sister

This and Retro's are my favorite clubs in Surfer's. In the social distacing it's different but still great. But I was concered and imtimidated every time when I walked in the Male bathroom and being greeted by four male sercuity guards. Why are they there? I also say don't buy drinks at this place. $8 for a can of Great Northern is double the price of what you'll spend at BWS or Dan Murphy's

Music's usually better here than anywhere else in cavil. They got pool tables pretty much only reason we go haha.

Good club with some drink specials. I did notice the DJ started playing all the same songs only 1.5 hours after he played them the first time. We were there with the wicked club crawl at first and then came back as we enjoyed it the most out of the clubs we visited. During the club crawl the dj was far to often talking on the mic and it was far louder than any of the drops or music highs. Was painful and annoying.

Great customer service, Yana went above and beyond to make sure that we were looked after when we country boys didn't know what we were doing, will definitely come back

Really sheep beer and cocktails for Australia especially on Thursday. I actually don't understand why so less people like to come inside. Have a big flor to dance, clean toilets and friendly personal. The music is also good but not perfect mixed so I give only 4 stars

Good club in the city center. Very full on the W.E but there are "calm zone" so you can do some break ;) I usually go there for Backpacker Big Night Out or on Thursday (free entry and half price)

Security at the front was nice and friendly and the line always goes quick. Doorman often allow free entry which is good. Drinks are reasonably priced, the music on a Saturday was really good which attracted a good crowd on the dance floor. Do recommend

Bought a booth for the night and it was an amazing experience, well worth the price. Yana was amazing for organising it and we had great service from our designated bar girl Shirelle. Also by far the best club with the best music, and dance floor.

Okay seriously though how on earth do you charge $20 for entry. That is obscene, and considering the entry fee to a half empty club, I was expecting magic for 4x the amount of other clubs, and got a boring experience that could not be matched by half the clubs in the GC. It would take a quarter of the entry fee and free drinks to make Cocktails seem remotely appealing. The empty line and dead club makes total sense now.

Sophie and Sarah in the lounge were amazing. I have never felt so welcomed and taken care of. I was told this was Sarah’s first shift. As a manager myself I was impressed by Sarah’s customer service and hospitality, she is definitely an asset to your team. My only disappointment was not being allowed to buy Sophie and Sarah a drink, as they were both deserving. I spent a lot more than intended tonight because of how comfortable Sarah made us feel. Please give her the chance to progress further in the business.

Cocktails nightclub is the best nightclub in surfers. All the staff were incredibly welcoming and kind! Yana was kind enough to give us free cocktails because we missed the best dress competition. Can’t wait to go back!

Yana, Jamie and all the team at Cocktails were fantastic when hosting a birthday party for us on the weekend. I arranged a party for my son's and their friends in the VIP booth, and it was fantastic! They made is so easy and fun for all involved, especially in these challenging time of COVID. We would highly recommend contacting Yana to help with your function, and the lovely Jamie was just amazing too. Great value, lots of inclusions. Can't wait to get back there when we are out of lockdown so we can hit the dance floor!

One of my best experiences clubbing! The environment was so cool and the drinks were amazing. The staff were all super friendly and helpful, I specifically remember one bartender, Maddy, she was lovely so friendly and made our drinks quickly and with such style. Over all such a great night.

I had the best time at cocktails last Thursday, amazing staff helped my group and I straight though the waiting line and into the club. Security guards were kind and not rude like other clubs. Will be coming back.

Went on my friends hens weekend on a Sunday night and it was one of the best nights out I’ve had. The staff were fantastic and you could tell they really put hospitality first. The bartenders were great and took care of our group. The energy of the place and all the staff was great, and shoutout to the security guard (with the thin moustache and glasses) who’s vibes were pristine.

Went to Surfers Paradise from Sydney for a girls weekend away and this place did not disappoint. The bartenders and DJ are amazing and shout out to Rhys in security who is a absolute total legend! Will definitely be back here again.

Came here for a wedding event, and was amazed at the qaulity of the food and great service. Everyone made us feel welcome, esspecially Houston the venue manager. A natural serviceman, he made sure drinks were filled and everyone enjoying themselves. I would highly recommend this place for evening drinks and nibbles with friends. Vibe is on point and the staff are brilliant. 5 stars from me.

Really good vibe. Pretty packed. Staff were good and security were cool. Great night apart from inconsistency of prices of shots on 1 night for me. Went up to bar and brought 3 shots which cost me $9 went up 5 minutes later to get 4 shots of the same stuff and it cost me $36.

Best club on the coast hands down. There's a reason it's always packed. Music, acts, and events are consistently top notch, (NYE is a MUST) and the sound engineers definitely nailed it in their setup. The staff are phenomenal, especially Yana who always makes us feel so welcome and looked after, will definitely be returning for more VIP booths. Drinks are well-priced, and the top-quality entertainment and music in the place makes the $20 cover charge more than reasonable. Again Yana is the star of the show though, cannot stress enough how much of an asset she is to the place. If upper managements sees this, you'd better treat that girl as well as she treats the rest of us. See you again soon!

Avoid, I was charged entry ($20) then not let in after I’d paid entry. The rudest service I’ve ever come across. Plenty of better options close by.

overall fun experience however it was my 19th birthday and the security guards were not nice they made comments such as “ this isn’t you” pointing to my photo of my drivers licence “you look too young” and refused my entry eventually they agreed that my licence was a real licence after i proved that it was me with my credit card before that they were refusing to even look at my credit card, it’s extremely annoying when i just want to have a good night out, this is the only club that makes comments like that, i hope it’s different next time thankyou

The atmosphere is something else. It’s so energetic I love. It’s my fav club to go to. I define recommends coming to cocktails. I have the best time.

Inside atmosphere was not bad, but BUT, one of the guard was so rude. When I paid for entrance, they give me a stamp on my arm. When I wanted to take a break outside, I asked a lady who work at entrance and she said, I can enter again with the stamp. The guard who has long mustach and bold hair, did not allow me to enter again without polite manner. He was aggressive and many people watch that situation. It was not normal, he was super non-manner. If he do not change his attitude like that, it could give bad influence to the business.

Amazing music! Kelise is an absolute gem and totally looked after the girls and I. Easy to get drinks even if the crowd is big. The BEST DJ. Cannot emphasise this enough. You will have the best night. Perfect spot to drink on the Gold Coast.
