Really good hotel to stay for your vacation. Maintained well and it's Surrounded by Hikkaduwa beach and nice breathtaking views you can really experience. Staff was friendly and foods are also delicious. It's available on average size of pool. In addition, for dinner this place is really good with the budget. It has a really good atmosphere in the buffet area and you can also enjoy your meal at outdoors too. Rooms are also in average size but properly clean and you can experience nice view as well. Overall, I had a great experience at this hotel The service was experienced in our stay. The evening band also played well.

Went over last week on a weekday evening to celebrate a friend's suprise birthday with some friends and their families. It's a beautiful hotel well maintained. Nice garden overlooking the beach with tables and chairs to relax and enjoy the sea breeze. Nice pool as well. The restaurant staff was helpful and friendly and catered to all our needs. The dinner buffet was quite normal. Not to our expectations 🙁Food tasted average. Not much variety of food items and desserts which was disappointing. Should improve quality and quantity as well as we were the last to have dinner and not much food was available to serve. Overall it's a nice location

Worst hotel experience ever!!! Starting from the checking 1) Room was not ready until 3.00pm 2) After 3 calls bathroom towels were provided at 5pm 3) Special Christams Lunch and Dinner- only for the namesake and horrible food ( chef has witness the same) 4) Special cocktail for 1 hour- only 3 types of fruit juice available. 5) Staff not educated what you have promoted- promoted that cocktails were available and reservation team and reception confirmed but nothing such available. 6) Unlimited chasers- Tempered Kadala, Maniyok and over fried Banana slices. Feedbacks were provided to GM and Chef already.

The food was delicious and the accommodation was clean and lovely view of the sea. The staff were very hospitable and nice. Had a very pleasant stay. The hotel is located in a unique location right next to the Indian Ocean. It’s located within walking distance from Hikkaduwa Town. They have affordable and competitive rates. We highly recommend Citrus Hikkaduwa for your holiday and hope you will enjoy it as much as we did!

First and foremost, I must say it's a good value for the money. However, be sure to choose your room wisely. I selected a partial sea view room, but there's no sea view at all 😃. For the buffet, try to arrive on time and reserve your table as soon as possible. The dining area is quite small and might require some waiting for a vacant table. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful, but there aren't enough staff members to serve all the guests. You might have to wait longer than expected for warm water and towels 👋. I noticed that the pool staff might not be well-versed in dealing with children 🧒👦, and their tone of voice can be a bit uncomfortable. There's no kids' pool, but that's understandable since this isn't a five-star hotel. The beach 🏝️ looks amazing, but be cautious when going for a swim. There are quite a few sea urchins (ikili) in the water

Situated near Hikkaduwa Town. Not a big hotel like citrus waskduwa. But the nice environment. It's very beautiful at the sunset. Friendly customer service. Rooms are not much big. But very clean and nice. Buffet is good. Overall it's a very good place.

We stayed there in october 2022. A gang of three girls. The location is super safe. Food is great and the staff and service is great too. The pool is also clean and good. Can spend some good time near beach at any time even in scenic nights. Hotel spa is also recommended . Room was also good and the view from the balocony with sound of crashing ocean waves were great too

Citrus is one of the best hotel i visit ever. Best service. They arranged a candle light dinner as per our request. So romantic and beautiful it was. Best hospitality. Special thanks to F&B manager, the chief and service boy... Reasonable price and safe rooms. Rooms has enough space. A beautiful view of beach can be seen. U can visit to other tourist places at Hikkaduwa from here. Provide transport from Railway station as well. Best service... so clean and tasty foods.

Well I gave all 5 stars but this doesn't mean it's all perfect it's just the service was top notch, they helped it all special requests and was all ways friendly regardless of the time I went to ask the staff for stuff. Location is relaxing to the bone if you like to chill by the beach and pools. Rooms are also really great can't really complain, however the TV in our room wasn't working, but then again we enjoyed playing music and relaxing when in the room without using the TV. Over all everyone was really nice and I do recommend grabbing some friends and coming down here for some good vibes.

I reserved hotel for my 1st wedding anniversary and asked few additional things to added. But not reminded the requirements agin and all are arranged by hotel on time. I recently stayed at a hotel for a weekend getaway and wanted to share my thoughts with you. The rooms were clean, and the food was delicious. The hotel has a pool and easy beach access, which is a big plus. They also offer mocktails and snacks for full board guests in the evening. While the staff was friendly, the service was okay. Overall, it's an okay spot for a budget-friendly weekend escape.

We arrived at the hotel early and were pleasantly surprised that the staff was able to accommodate our request for early check-in. The staff members were friendly and provided us with excellent assistance throughout our stay. However, the rooms were not very spacious. As for the food, the buffet spread was limited and the taste was average. As an eyewitness, the staff was unable to manage the large crowd and failed to serve welcome drinks to some visitors.

Our stay was really nice. The room was spacious and had a really nice view of the whole hotel and also the ocean. There was plenty of entertainment inside of the hotel. The food was really good and had a variety of options. The staff were really friendly and helpful, specially this one person called Chinthaka, who was really nice to us and helped us a lot. Amazing location, staff, rooms, everything!! The staff was very friendly and helpful and made the stay feel like a 5-star resort. We left early due to slow wifi but they assured us it was a carrier issue that would be resolved. The food is good, lots of options!! It is a wonderful place to stay, always something to do. It is VERY loud with music and people yelling all day, so if you like napping during the day, bring noise canceling headphones!! 🤣

I went with my family. Room is small with magnificent views of the ocean. The rooms were clean and very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. The food was yummy and had rotti and hoppers during evening tea time. Also, they had BBQ night before the dinner. It was so happening and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hikkaduwa.

A lovely and pleasant atmosphere with wonderful staff throughout. Me and my wife had a great holiday which was made special due to the staff. Hotel grounds kept clean and security staff always keeping an eye on things. The food was good and rooms decent. I would like to thank the restaurant and bar staff for looking after us especially as my wife has a coconut allergy and everyone made sure we new what we could and couldn't eat everyday which in my opinion is hard to come by. I would also like to give a special thanks to restaurant manager Mujitha who was so nice and couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome and relaxed. Also a special thank you to Sanjeewa who again made us feel so welcome and always looked after us as well as providing impeccable service, a personal touch from both and they will be the reason we come back. And finally a special thanks the Cheff Dimuthu who cooked fantastic food but also cooked my wife currys without coconut so she could also enjoy the srilankan food. All in all fantastic holiday and fantastic people..xxx

Yes, I am aware that a 3-star hotel cannot provide us with the same level of service as a 5-star hotel. However, the quality of service provided to visitors (both domestic and foreign) should be monitored. I should state that there should be an improvement in the quality of service for the reasons listed below. 1. A broken tile in the pool caused my 4-and-a-half-year-old kid to get hurt. We told the front desk workers about it. She clarified, saying, "Yes, Sir, another guest complained and it has been broken for about a week." 2. I asked for a glass of hot water from the service during dinner. It took him thirty minutes to deliver the glass. 3. 3. It took us an extra ten to fifteen minutes to check out since my wife was covering my son's leg after he was injured in the pool. A caller from the front desk asked, "We did not receive your door key; at what time do you expect to hand it over?" As a result, the service is horrible, so consider your options carefully before choosing one of Hikka's several 3-star hotels, which offer decent service.

Hotel Garden is beautiful as well as beautiful Indian Ocean right behind the hotel as well , Even you can take Bath in the sea , highly recommended for anyone .

The rooms were nice and clean. The food buffet didn't have a huge spread, we stayed on Friday and Saturday. However, the food was nice. Didn't have much fresh juices.

Went on a weekend where the dinner and breakfast buffets were over crowded. People were standing in ques and food was not refilled. If they are charging a price, they should be able to arrange proper service. Didn't get hot water in the bathroom and the explanation was it was raining so solar didn't work. If not on rainy days, when else would you need hot water? But on the weekday service was better with less crowd. Food quality and location were average.

I had stayed at citrus few years back and expected the same quality this time as well but apparently dissapointed. Rooms are not cozy and need some maintenance works. Buffet was ok but with lesser options.

Highly recommend Citrus Hikkaduwa to anyone. We had an amazing stay and a fabulous experience of Sri Lanka. What a beautiful country with beautiful people! Day one at the hotel, within half hour of arrival we were eating lunch and seen a whale wave in the sea in front of us! Unreal …. Then we walked down the beach after lunch and the husband was in the sea feeding seaweed to wild turtles! Guys on the beach supplied seaweed and then one walked back with us and showed us a load of baby sharks in the shallows. From day one it was an amazing experience. Service at the hotel was outstanding… Arjuna Thishantha is one of the best guys ever, he should be promoted! This guy literally treated us like VIPs. Nothing was too much trouble. Our anniversary whilst there and he made sure it was special, even getting my husband some flowers for me! The meal served up for our anniversary was fit for a king thanks to the amazing chef Rashitha Sanjaya. I was spoilt with an amazing seafood platter whilst my husband who is a typical Mr English was served a fab steak meal. We enjoyed every single meal we had at the hotel and they cater for all tastes. Then there is the lovely entertaining Shehan, hospitality is natural to him. He made sure we had fun and went out of his way with all of the guests to ensure he listened to what they wanted and expected. He gave great advice and support to us as tourists… much appreciated. I genuinely did not want to end my two weeks holiday and come home, I quite easily could’ve done a month there. We hired a tuk tuk and mastered the roads which was brilliant because we got around the island and visited places we wouldn’t of thought of. It is so cheap too! We’ve had the best holiday ever and plan on a return visit to do even more of Sri Lanka. Citrus staff made that happen…. Love to all from Gina & Dean room 609 xx

Worst 3-Star hotel experience ever. Our check in was 1 hr to 1 1/2hrs late. Ask for one additional bottle of water, that is Rs 400. Ask for an Iron, you would get it after 2 hrs but without an iron board, they will give you a piece of cloth so you can use that on the table. No changing facilities near the pool. They advertise for BYOB and free cocktails( even your booking confirmations), and then those are not available at the hotel. This is very cheap facility but you pay what you would be paying for 4-star one. Only good thing is the location which is a beachfront facility and can easily access the city and other facilities.

Highly recommended this place. This place is super calm and quiet place to spend our leisure time with our loved once. Their room service is super fast. Foods are delicious but they should increase there variety of foods. Security is perfect. They have friendly staff.

The poorest hotel I have ever visited. Not up to 3 star standards. I ordered some food from room service but it didn’t arrived after 3 hours. After I called them and asked to cancel the order. It was surprising that they didn’t know about the order. It took hours to fill buffet. Service is too bad. The staff don’t care about their customers. Rooms are outdated. Bathroom is too small. Only positive was the location. The beach was good and clean. I was booked this hotel because there was no availability in other major hotels in hikkaduwa. Finally I recommend not to visit this property.

From the minute of arriving at the Citrus Hotel the staff in all departments were amazing, helpful and a credit to the Citrus. The best part of my stay here was the surprise I got when arriving back in my room to see what Piumal the house keeper had sculptured out of towels. I would like to thank Mr Samprith for arranging the gifts I gave to the children at the Temple. See you again Citrus

We stayed Xmas eve and Xmas day and it was a very pleasant stay. Gala dinner and dance was very good. Staffs are very helpful and especially Sanjeewa at the restaurant was excellent and looked after us well, food is excellent. Overall we are very happy with our experience here.

Our family day out at Citrus Hikkaduwa left much to be desired. The limited food selection and poor quality of seafood were disappointing. The swimming pool, overwhelmed with chlorine and lacking towels, was far from enjoyable. The consistently smelly washrooms were a notable drawback. The advertised tea without coffee and limited cake options further added to the disappointment. Overall, not a place we'd recommend for a pleasant outing.

Met a friend there who stayed onea night with his wife. The Citrus is very luxurious and they have a clean pool. The view in the waves is amazing because the veranda is sine meters above the see level. It gives you a feeling of floating.

Good ambience with a nice see view from all most every room. Average food. The beach is not private; expect more people in evenings. Regarding the booking: It is better to check with the hotel if you are going to book it through booking websites. Sometimes, there may be confusions regarding the availability of the rooms. Also, the price differences appear to be a concern as well.

Turned out to be one of the best stays! We got an early check-in, the allocated room was not the best however after leaving a comment with the front office they offered us a room change. Since it wasn't the best start we were skeptical about our stay. Towards the evening we went down to the restaurant and everything changed. The staff were super friendly and always offering to help. They served unlimited cocktails for an hour from 6.30pm. The highlight of the stay was the food. As SriLankans we don't want to compromise on our food, but food was spot on. We took our time to enjoy it. Nights are beautiful by the beach and enjoying food alongside should be in your bucket list. If so this should the spot. Mr. Malcolm and his team made sure our stay here was memorable. Thank you and all the very best. You will see us soon!

Nice place and nothing to complain. Staff were very friendly. I wanted to change my room and they did it within 5 mints without any hesitation. Evening cocktail is average but can enjoy. On food not much varieties but very tasty. overall worth for money.. I don't like the pool though. Its deep and dangerous.

Stayed two nights with family . Good food and friendly staff. The only problem is that the room didn't have a proper view and they don't have a beach access too. Evening music is also really good and we enjoyed it a lot. Love this experience
