This is a little gem in the touristic area. I loved the ambiance of the restaurant, people were really helpful and friendly, the food was good and the delicious margarita was a big highlight of the night!

It's a great little Mexican restaurant in the heart of Amsterdam. They've changed their menu, offering less choices but exquisite taste and keeping a traditional cuisine. Their interior has also undergone a little update, making the place less claustrophobic. The prices won't break the bank, providing your appetite is a modest one.

Tried every Margarita on the menu, and if you have to pick one go with strawberry! Food was incredible too, everything was really delicious, but my absolute favourite was ChoriQuesso! 😍😍 the team was also super friendly and attentive. Can’t remember the name of the Australian waitress - but we’ve loved you and you’ve made our night! Had a wonderful evening here, thanks! 🤩

Very good food! I had the Shrimp Tacos (Gobernedor) and some Tequila. The portions will definitely fill you up at 4 tacos per serving but 3 would be plenty so plan for takeaway or sharing.

Went here with a group of colleagues and this place is small but so cozy! I was expecting more tourists but none of that. Portion sizes are small, but the food is good. A must try is the dessert, Mexican corn bread!

Excellent food and ambient. The service was fantastic; even though I did not reserve, they managed to get me a table. I ordered two of the most popular Mexican "tacos," Birria and Pastor, and they were on point; while waiting for my order, they offered nachos with salsa. The horchata drink was also refreshing and delicious. The place is small, and it is packed, but the atmosphere is excellent, there is good music, it is not too loud, and the servers are kind and attentive. If you want to feel the cozy Latin vibe with great food, this is the place.

AMAZING! I took my Mexican boyfriend here and he majorly approved. The food is authentic, the staff speaks Spanish, the service is good, and they even make their own salsas. Don’t let the tourist location fool you!

Possibly the best authentic Mexican tacos I had in my entire life. The restaurant is very nice and cozy with a very nice atmosphere, definitely would go again. Losses a star because they actually did a mistake and forgot my food order, when I asked the waiter again after 45minutes he told me its coming and did not apologise for forgetting (no harm no foul, but not 5 stars)

Great Mexican food experience. The ambience is very good, excellent and well behaved staff. They also have an extensive drinks menu. We tried the beef briskets and enchiladas verdes. Both were excellent in taste. The beef briskets were cooked to perfection with a juicy texture. Enchiladas had a great flavor and the meat was soaked in the cream. I was slightly disappointed with the quantity of meat in both the dishes for the price. I would recommend this place if you crave for Mexican dishes in Amsterdam.

Oh my god ! Wow wow wow The service and the food was just divine !! Everything was super delicious and the margaritas were so good ! Definitely coming here again especially for the tacos !

The place is small and a bit loud. I didn't use it but heard from my companions that the toilet was the tiniest they have seen 😅 Food was great, a lot of different intense flavours. The barbacoa was a bit bland but still good with the onions and sauces. The drinks were delicious. 🌮

One of the best Mexican restaurants i ever tried in my life. As if you are eating in the most authentic place in Mexico. The waiters are super nice and friendly. Food is beyond amazing, service is great and fast and i think the owner was there helping everyone and making sure everything is at its best. You may also get your dish delivered by the chef. If you are a Mexican food lover then this one is a must and i will be back there for sure. All the staff are Mexicans I believe

Definitely love it! I find the food very good, the micheladas were also very good and the whole atmosphere is cozy and bring you back to a Latin environment.

People rave about the food and drinks here, but they were overall just ok for me—maybe because my hopes were so high. Had the guacamole, green enchiladas with chicken, Al pastor tacos, and spicy margaritas. Here’s the scoop: PROS You get free chips and refried beans upon arrival - an unheard of pleasantry in these parts that I miss terribly from America They have a trio of their own hot sauces - loved trying them all Loved the decor Super friendly and fun staff Ordered a pitcher of spicy margaritas and it was HUGE CONS Tortillas were quite crumbly, making tacos and enchiladas a bit hard to eat Quite expensive! 25 euro for 4 small tacos and 45 for a pitcher of margaritas (again, it was HUGE, so I wasn’t really mad at it)

The tacos are good, but not a lot of difference in their offering. It is nice to get a quick bite together with a mexican beer, but don’t expect to be full with a single dish. Symptom of globalization, a cheap mexican dish is turned into an 18 euro platter. Nothing to do about it, as you are very close to the Amsterdam city center. Would visit again if I happen to be near and craving tacos, but I wouldn’t plan a night around it

Wandering around the centre of Amsterdam on a Saturday night I remembered the great experience had at los Pilones restaurant years ago. Time to go back to see how they have been. It was a great decision as the food and cocktails were great. And the service was awesome! The American lady who served us was just so positive and friendly and made our dinner a great experience. Gracias a los Pilones restaurant para una noche maravillosa!

Best tacos ever in Amsterdam reviewed by a Mexican... After being far from home, you can miss your family and friends but keep the memories in which you cook for each other and have a meal together. It is a Mexican tradition to have all the family members together and try little by little each dish... So opinions can be harsh if you do not like something ... Even children will not take a bite... But I can tell you I tried 'Los pilones' tacos de asada but with the variety of sauces and onion, plus the chiles just in one like that... Balanced spicy and hot... I almost ate up the plate too! This is a sign in which you can tell you succeded in the Mexican cuisine... Also, I can tell you all that the staff is quite friendly and open to make your stay comfortable. I really enjoy what I had and would tell my friends to come too.

Rather small restaurant but cosy. I was early so no problem to get seated. I started with a Margherita Lemon, top! I had the intention to order Antojitos ànd Tacos, but the waitress said the portions of main courses were quite enough, so unless I was very hungry... I took just tacos, Camarones Diabla and indeed, the portion was enough. I finished with a Pastel de Elote and a tequila, Corralejo Reposado. I'm not a connoisseur but I liked it! Will certainly return!

Food was excellent. The cocktail dressings too! We really enjoyed our late lunch. This restaurant has potential to become a sought after destination if service and nuances improve! I will definitely go back.

Wow, I discovered this place recommenced by a colleague. What a delight. Perfect fresh Margarita, tacos and enchiladas, with gorgeous melting cheese, the place has a Mexican vibe, cosy small tables, also safe in these COVID times. Really recommend the place is you fancy Good Mexican food. And the plates were gorgeous. 5* for the staff.

The food is good, really authentic mexican cuisine. But the price is slightly high (in my opinion) and the portions are small. A beer at 6 euros is too much, and 4 tacos for 25 is also overpriced.
