    We stayed here one week, lot of problems. Almost two days no power in my room, when I spoke with them they were not switching the room also. Keep saying all rooms are occupied. After two days they did some horrible fix which is causing flickering power. One of my friend room no ac for 4 days when we checked in reception, we got very rude reply. Water is not getting drained in rest room. Wifi speed is very low. Hotel cleaning service not cleaning floor. Even breakfast also not good on top of that same breakfast every single day.

    A typical budget hotel which tries to look to be in a higher sector. Nothing wrong with that if the details are accordingly. The room, though tastefully decorated, was not in a clean state and maintenance was not done. One light flickering, one lightbulb missing, curtains hanging loose because of missing hooks. After announcing this at the reception I hoped this would be repaired for my second night... No repaired light and curtain hooked in such way I could not open it anymore. The bathroom looks nice, but the toilet was not cleaned thoroughly and very few amendments. Only 2 soaps and 2 shower gels. A heated towel rack was missing and no Black out curtians, which was especially annoying for my colleague who slept at the east side of the hotel. At least the bed was good. The staff was partly good and friendly, but some of them were not professional and walking around with a very bad mood. In general they didn't look professional or well trained. This shows in the breakfast. Badly supplied, missing plates, full coffee machine, etc. The breakfast room wasn't even half full when this happened. I know that in general prices are higher now, but I at least expect something back for this. It doesn't cost more for the hotel! I definitely don't recommend this hotel at the moment.

    A big NO to this hotel with understanding that you are booking a budget hotel: the alarm system of hotel rang 2:30 am on 24 december 2022 for NO reason. We went down, tired and frustrated at night, and finally the caretaker who showed up said nothing was happening, and apparently according to them?? somebody smoked inside his room. NO verbal apologies, no compensations, no discounts ( breakfast vouchers) NOTHING! The whole my life have not seen such an unfriendly customer service hotel in the Netherlands. The expat kitchen /receptionist stuff who could not speak Dutch, but some broken English also did not ask us how our stay was or if we pleased was with their service. We explained what happened, but instead she mumbled a bit. Later I asked to talk to the manager if possible, she said the manger was not available. Other issues: Cleanness: poor. Infront of where the bic row was, just in front of inertance lots of garbage carried away by wind. The same with under beds lots of stuffs and old broken battery...! the terrace ahead of where Bastion name was installed, all were so dirty as if ages not cleaned. One light bulb was broken so our room was darker, the tv remote was not working good, no tissues available at room, no extra towel for the shower ground so you had to use the same towel for the ground while out the douch. The douch pipe was broken and spreading water everywhere. No extra pillows if you wanted to have more higher support while sleeping. You see, these details that you think upon what level why are they so extremally economizing and messy ignorant with?? All in all NO and suggest you also to not.

    Unfortunately these are the facts; We had to book an unforeseen trip to the Netherlands due to a funeral of a direct family member. Due to unexpected ice problems our flight was canceled. And no other flights were available before the funeral. We did get a full refund for our flight and our car rental. However Bastion hotel was not helpful. I booked a “hotdeal” ( my mistake) and therefore I was not allowed to change dates or get a refund on the 2 hotel rooms booked for 3 nights. ( a total for almost 800 euro’s.) We contacted Bastion group several times, explained the situation. But they would/could not help us. I would have happily paid a reasonable fee, first night, but they would not accommodate. The empathy, flexibility at Bastion hotel group customer service was really lacking. To not to say rude. Very disappointing. Their slogan “gewone dingen, goed doen” is just a hollow phrase…

    We had a nice stay at the Bastion. Check in was easy. The room was big. The bathroom looked really classy. The location is good. Not too far from the city centre. People are friendly unfortunately no Belgium beers, not a lot of food choices. Free parking is awesome. There is no view. The only bad thing was the bed. Too soft for my taste. I had a sore back in the morning.

    A bit out of the action in Tilburg but only a short wall to the river and the centre. Not a bad location for Roadburn festival, but there's not that much around the hotel. Rooms were decent and it had a coffee machine.

    Pretty gross. One of the beds was definitely.. 'well loved'. Breakfast was great and so were the hot showers. Overall, would only recommend to sleep here only if you have to and are on a budget.

    Nice, modern Hotel with large rooms and comfy beds. Here and there I had some communication problems with the staff but those were quickly resolved. Thanks for the nice stay.

    Wry nice hotel, and felt welcome immediately! Olesia at reception was extremely friendly and made sure we had our rooms together. She was the extra star, on top of the 5 star rating I gave the hotel

    Solid hotel in Tilburg just on the outskirts of the city. Bastion is always good but never great the rooms are decent and clean. The breakfast is solid and the room comes with a fridge and airco.

    This was a great hotel, the best thing about it was the position to the center of Tilburg and that they allowed you to take your cycle, and in my case my electric cycle up in the lift to the rooms so it could be charged up ready for the next days cycling. My friend who shared my room had Avery good sleep.

    Talked to the customer service and loyalty department to try to help my 86 year old grandmother who was going to a funeral and needed a hotel to stay in. Got yelled at, talked over, and in general just badly treated. I hope no one has to ever go through what I did with Bastion Hotels.

    Great hotel, fantastic rooms and even better shower, and a nice, clean bar. Very nice bar wirth a lovely and customer friendly future assistant manager named Elise. Also Kelly was great. I love this place I strongly recommend this hotel

    +it is a hotel that lives up to the expectations according to the price and the stars indicator. They have all the facilities (restaurant, gym, parking). The room was clean and tidy. The bathroom, it was the highlight, it is actually very luxurious! Nice view from the window. -breakfast cost 15,50 eur pp. The bus connection to the centre is not good, there's just one bus that drives once every hour from a stop nearby, and arrives at the central station

    Nice hotel from walking stance from the town center and the trappist abbey. - 1 star for only having double rooms, without extra beds available. If you're not in pair group you have to pay double room for single.

    Would actually rate it 3,5/5. The staff is nice, the rooms are clean and look decent. Only the shower would overflow a bit (might just have been our room). The only thing that I really dislike about this place is the size of the pillows. They are tiny. So that's why I round the rating down to 3 Instead of 4.

    Unfriendly and unhelpful reception staff, and highly inflated prices during events in Tilburg. The room smells like an ashtray. WiFi is unbelievably bad. Not staying here ever again

    Started from poor internet connection. I have tried to make a phone call to a reception (9*) but it doesn`t work. So the phone is working but looks like reception is always canceling a phone call. wow. So I went down, and was shocked from conversation with a women at the reception. Going back in my mind, when I was checking IN i thought it was me, but now I am realising, that is that lady who is working there. Inert person. Don`t care even to smile to an upcoming customer. So she neither didn`t care about any internet or a call to reception. In fact she even refused to give me her name: saying " every time bad things happen - so should I all the time say my name?" A bottle of a still water in the room? you wont get it. and for that price that my room was.... crazy. I would not recommend this hotel to my friends nor to my enemies. Stay safe.

    they lost my booking. I gave them a call in the morning to make sure they will have place for me - confirmed. When I showed up 8 p.m. they said they have no place for me. The hotel crew refused to take any responsibility for the situation.

    Second time we stayed here. Clean and convenient. However they have to do something about their Wi-Fi. I painfully remembered that it was bad already in 2019 when we stayed there for the first time. It’s still bad in 2022. I had to tether my phone 5g in order to get some work done.
