The station on the outskirts of Schiphol Airport where local trains turn around back to the city. Both platforms have lifts, ticket barriers and a decent amount of seating and shelter whilst waiting for your train and it is very well connected with local bus services to Amstelveen, Haarlem and Niewe Vennep. Also quite good for watching trains pass through at speed too.

This is a convenient station for many of the Schipol hotels located in Hoofddorp. It's directly across from the Hampton and within easy, or at least reasonable, walking distance of the Novotel, Hyatt Place, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn Express and maybe even the Best Western (this all assumes you're not overloaded with baggage and, if you are, you probably don't want to take train anyway). A train to and from Schipol generally runs every 5 or 10 minutes at busier times, as many routes include these two stops. It's just a four- or five-minute ride. I find this to be a great alternative to locating the correct shuttle stop and waiting for that shuttle to come around. This allows me to go right to the Schipol train station after my flight (the escalators for which are right in the main entrance lobby) and easily hop on a train directly to a point where I could walk to my hotel. I like this option better than waiting for shuttles that are not necessarily predictable, may make multiple stops, can be crowded and might leave you in the cold waiting for an extended period. The option if using the train to the Hoofddorp Station is worth considering.

Nice train station. One stop from Amsterdam Schipol. Easy access to trains. I would use this station when saying at the Hampton Inn. Close walk to the station or hotel.

Hoofddorp station is not far from Schipol airport. I lodged in Novotel Amsterdam airport. The area is very quiet at night.

Decent train station featuring a kiosk and elevator. There are two platforms with four tracks. Directions include Zaandam, Schiphol and Amsterdam CS. As usual, trains are often late or broken.

Easy to reach and excellent possibilities to enter the train Station. Many trains are stopping at the platforms and a very good opportunity to reach Amsterdam, Schiphol, Den Haag as well as Rotterdam. Not the overall platform is covered with a Roof, but sufficient space to offer preotection agains wind. There is also a small stand to grab some food

Excellent connections but not a place to kiss and drive as I have seen many accidents happen on this very small parking location. So come by taxi or bus.

Warning: Doesn’t accept American credit cards. Unlike the airport kiosks, there is no contactless payment, so you can’t use your phone to pay. You can buy tickets online, then select ‘print’ to get a QR code. Platform listings were wrong on our trip, so check the electronic signs instead.
