Decent permanent and temporary exhibit. Primarily came for the TeamLab exhibit and it was ok--the one in Odaiba is definitely a lot better. The art permanent exhibit is ok, there were a couple cool paintings. Place is pretty small, probably at most a one hour visit.

I went mainly for the teamLab exhibit as I enjoyed Borderless. I would not recommend it at all if you have already visited Borderless. The whole thing can be seen in 10 minutes and all of the set pieces were essentially copied from Borderless from what I can tell. I expected more for the 1400 yen admission (half the price of Borderless for like 10% of the content). Also be warned that there is no re-entry to the special exhibit, even if you just step out for a minute (wish they had made this more clear, I didn’t see any English signage for it). The permanent exhibition (200 yen) was nice however and worth seeing if you are in the area.

I was there when Picaso's art was showed. Amazed by this master skill

The museum was small - only two galleries on one floor. There was a cafe outside - it was quite cozy.

There is a payable Western pictures exhibition (with one Matisse) and a permanent collection which only has samurai sword blades, but it's free of charge. Cool in-museum cafe.

A nice little art museum, it took me about 45 minutes to see all of it, including the special exhibit which is the longest segment by far, so not the most expansive collection. There is no info in English except for a blurb about the permanent gallery which explains where it came from. Otherwise titles are in their original language and any info in the piece/artist is in Japanese. Definitely a museum for those who are really interested in art as there is nothing so incredible in the normal collection that you need to see.

I really enjoyed the teamlab exhibition here… but what got me was the statue outside being shot with fog. It felt very special!!

Pretty small and not much to see other than the TeamLab exhibit. Still a good destination for a date though

Beautiful brick building and great exhibition space, but I just can't shake the bad aftertaste that the commentary plaques left. Specifically, I went to see the Minoru Onoda exhibition in 2021 and honestly the text explaining his works was a pain to read, being full of unnecessary flowery prose. In addition, I took a few glances at the English translation and found that it contains some pretty bad mistakes.

Lots of interesting attractions, but a substantial wait to get in when travelling exhibitions come through.

It is a beautiful entrance. A relatively small gallery. The paintings are with Japanese explanation only.

A small but high quality collection of French Impressionist paintings. Definitely worth visting if you are in the area.

Nice place. The permanent exhibit is small, but also low cost. The limited time exhibit was interesting. The statue outside was my favorite part.
