This isn't a park, more like a public common space. Usually there is a flea market here, people skateboarding and some food stalls. The flea market is good, particularly the one with flintlock postols and katanas. I would definitely recommend anyone visiting himeji Castle to see this park too.

We were at the Food Festival and it was crowded. A good place to be for food festival.

Lovely place and the castle view is also amazing

I was lucky to be here during their annual ceramics & pottery market this year, nice area to hang out on a regular day, looking at the surroundings.

If you only visit one castle in Japan, go to Himeji Jo. It dominates its presence over the city of Himeji. Walk straight out of the train station and you can see what I mean.

Not really a park but an open square, but looks as if there is a lot going on. Nice view of the castle and close to restaurants, shops and cafes.

Many delicious street food, I ate okonomiyaki, fried chicken, and a terrific beef skewers

I visited on a weekend and there were a lot of food stalls and even a monkey show.

Alot of interesting things goes on here if you go at the right time
