Overall a highly recommended for a few reasons: 1. Free shuttle from the train station to the hotel during the peak hours. A regular taxi ride cost 1000 Yen so you automatically save. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel that takes you to the train station. 2. Hotel is convenient to Hirosaki Castle and the surrounding landmarks. The area is relatively safe but the entertainment district is to the east of the hotel. The side streets have little lighting so night time might feel apprehensive. 3. Because apples are famous here, they offer free apple juice when you check in. They also have free coffee as well. 4. The usual free soba (ramen) at night and free use of onsen facilities. The onsen is really nice and there is an outdoor pool as well. 5. Rooms are spacious so you don't feel cramped. The view isn't terrible given the hotel is on a corner lot.

My favourite hotel!! The best feature is the onsen on the top floor. I will never book any other hotel in Hirosaki. This is the best.

I am a big fan of Dormy Inn. I love Dormy Inn this brand so much. However, this time made me very upset. I feel Dormy Inn Hirosaki is of great landscapes and facilites. But I experienced a very bad customer services at around 18:40 (6 Feb 2023). The middle aged guy kept asking me the residency card or visa but I already explained to him my country needs not a visa to travel in Japan. He then replied without residency card or visa he couldn't let me check in until a male guest helped me to resolve it. The male guest is a good Japanese of high quality. I highly appreciate him. Another issue is I couldn't use the voucher(coupon) given by the middle aged guy staff at Sushiro in Aomori. I don't know why. I wish to contact at Dormy Inn in written basis because I want to make it clear even though the staff of Sushiro said it is okay to give me discount. If onwer of this hotel seen this message, please let me to contact you. I still have the coupon in my bag for reference.

Room is spacious vs the typical Japanese hotel. Hot spring is lovely, free ramen at night and apple juicy/ coffee in the lobby and dessert in room!. Located a bit far from the JR station, but it’s easy to get there by bus or taxi (1500 yen)

Nice clean rooms, so much free service. It has a real onsen you can use for free, with one free icecream each day, free Yakult each day in the morning, free soba noodles every night, and a good buffet breakfast. Would recommend!

Really very nice. Nothing much more to add to the numerous other wonderful reviews… except I was a bit disappointed with the smoking room next to the resting space on the 10th floor- it’s a closed room but the smell of smoke was leaking out, so I couldn’t exactly relax there with the free drink… :( But, it is kind of them to have free popsicles at night and (lactic acid) drink in the morning! Also, this is just my ignorance…. In the bath area, I couldn’t tell if the water outdoors was a small pond for viewing (with apples floating in it this weekend..! 😦) or a rotenburo… was afraid of becoming a spectacle bathing in a pond, so after much wondering, left without trying… then when leaving the women’s area I noticed a little sign at the shoes off area that said ‘Apple Bath’… 😭🍎 (I’ve been in dozens of rotenburo! Unfortunately with this one, I somehow lacked the conviction…) But other than that, enjoyed the free night ramen and coffee at the entrance! Excellent room too. Should’ve been aware of the shuttle.

Within walking distance of most sights to see, very comfortable, serves an amazing breakfast, and the ryotenburo on the roof is amazing.

The rooms are spacious, the bathroom is really nice and the bed is comfortable. There is an onsen in the last floor which is quite good. But I regret that they have such a strong policy against tattoos and I had to put patches to cover them which are provided if you ask for it.

Surprisingly good onsen on the top floor. Comfy beds, good service (coffee, free noodles at certain times...). A cut above the average business hotel.

On December 21, 2019, my family of five checked in three rooms here. We paid Yen 70O for a car park and had free drinks at the reception. While the rooms and the 9:30pm-11.00 pm free soup noodles were standard, its public baths were great.

If you aren't staying here but are just looking for a place to have breakfast, this may not work out. When it is busy, for instance during festivals, you have to be staying at the hotel in order to have breakfast there. Even when it's not so busy, it isn't clear if you can have breakfast there if not a hotel guest. If you are looking for a place for breakfast, consider "Gasuto" ガストof which there are a few around. Opening times vary.

Very nice Dormy Inn, with a beautiful onsen on the top floor. Lots of free food included (e.g. evening ramen, ice cream, yakult).
