(Translated by Google) One of the thirty-six immovable sacred sites in Tohoku. There is a magnificent five-storied pagoda. I want to come again in the cherry blossom season. I received a red stamp.

Shintô shrine with the particularity of having a pagoda and being on the top of one the local hill next to a Buddhist temple. Most of the other religious buildings have been relocated to the same street within the city.

A hidden temple inside Hirosaki, only a few tourist will come, and the maple leaf and ginko is well-combined with the temple's red!

Beautiful five-stories pagoda. Worth a visit if you're in Hirosaki.

We went to the Hirosaki cherry blossom festival and stopped by here on our way out of town. It is beautiful. The cherry blossoms were out, the temple and pagoda were amazing and the guardian is a rabbit plus there is this amazing dragon inside as well. This is well worth the stop but if you are driving there are only 4 spaces so you may need to park elsewhere if you are not lucky enough to get one of the free stops. Also the admission was about 150 yen per person which I was happy to pay knowing it would be used towards the upkeep of this amazing place.

(Translated by Google) I visited in September 2022. It is said to have started in 1532, the first year of Tenbun, when Konobu Shonin established it in Hagino, outside Horikoshi Castle. In 1609, the 14th year of the Keicho era, the second lord of the Tsugaru domain, Nobuhira Tsugaru, built Takaoka's new castle (now Hirosaki Castle). In 1611, in the 16th year of Keicho, after the castle was built, Saisho-in was moved from Hagino to Tamachi (near Kumano Okuteru Shrine). At that time, it became a place of prayer for the Tsugaru clan. In 1629, Kanei 3rd year, it became one of the Tsugaru Shingon Five Mountains. In 1870, in the 3rd year of the Meiji era (1870), the temple was moved to its current location in Daienji Temple in Doya-cho. In other words, most of the temple buildings, such as the five-storied pagoda and main hall, were inherited from the former Daienji Temple. It is a remnant of that that the annual festival, which is still held today, is called the 'Evening Palace of Daeji Temple'. The statue of Gozu Tenno enshrined in the current Gomado was the principal image of Daienji Temple. June 13th of the lunar calendar is Gozu Tenno's fair. Daienji merged with Kohakuji in Owani. The Kongo Rikishi statues of the former Hyakutakuji Temple (now Iwakiyama Shrine), which was closed due to the anti-Buddhist movement, have been moved to the Niomon Gate. Manjusri Bodhisattva is believed to be blessed with academic achievement as a first generation born in the year of the rabbit.

(Translated by Google) There is a parking lot for about 4 cars at the entrance of the temple gate. The words "Ichidai-sama" can be found everywhere. It seems to be a belief that is handed down in the Nakatsugaru region. It seems that he worships at a temple whose principal image is his zodiac, which is called "Ichidai-sama faith". By chance I'm lucky in the rabbit year! There is a magnificent five-storied pagoda, and you can ring a big bell! It sounds good.

(Translated by Google) Personally, temples are much harder to enter than shrines. Do you say that people who do not have a grave feel like an outsider? Under such circumstances, it was an atmosphere where many people could easily enter. There were many people taking pictures because it was Shichigosan. It should be noted that electronic money can be used. A PayPay QR code is pasted at the entrance fee and where the bell is rung. The firstfruits fee of the goshuin was also paypay okay. The temple office supports not only PayPay but also various electronic money. There is also a money changer, and it feels like a business, but I personally like it because it's easier to enter.
