Since last year, I've been touring rice field art in two places in Komachi no Sato in Mito City and Tsuchiura City, and Mito City has spacious rice fields decorated with mitochan and plum blossoms, which is interesting! I think it would be interesting to take a photo with a Kashima Rinkai Railway train in the background...

Within walking distance from Tsunesumi Station. The parking lot is right next to the venue. Continue along the gravel road under the railroad tracks 🚙 This is the 5th year of rice field art🎨 Simple scaffolding has been erected, and the rice field art is wonderful, but the distance to the train is quite close and it's impressive🚉 An event will be held on July 22nd, and there will be stalls, so we recommend stopping by while sightseeing in Oarai. Those with children can have fun interacting with nature as there are a large number of crayfish living in the waterway under the scaffolding.

While I was driving, I found a piece of ``Rice Paddy Art''! An observation deck built with scaffolding has appeared in a rice field along the Kashima Rinkai Railway. What kind of pictures did you see before you climbed to the observation deck? ? I was curious, but it had Mito City's character, Mito-chan, drawn on it, and it was quite an interesting view!

As you head towards Oarai on National Route 245, you will see a banner with the words "Rice Field Art" on the elevated Kashima Rinkai Railway. I always keep those words in mind when I run, but since the weather was nice, I went by bike. The design features Mito-chan running a marathon and Ibaraki from the Ibaraki National Athletic Meet, and the Oarai Kashima Line train and Daidarabo are drawn around it. A picture was drawn using 6 types of rice. The observation deck, which is built on scaffolding like a construction site, is a little shaky, so the kids were a little nervous about it.

The rice field art changes every year. Since the Ibaraki Yume National Athletic Meet will be held in 2019, the mascot Ibaraki Lucky will be shown running through the streets of Mito saying "Run, Run, RUN". The view from the window of the Oarai Kashima Line (between Tsunesumi Station and Oarai Station) is also recommended.

I went there yesterday. I think this is the best time to see them. I saw it last year, and I think the art itself is a great result. However, it was the same last year, and I think it has probably been the same for a long time, but even if you stand on the stand, if you look at it from the front, it won't fit in your field of vision. It doesn't even fit into the camera lens. I don't think it would be possible without using a very special wide-angle lens. I think improvements need to be made, such as changing the height of the stand or moving the picture further back. Please help us make it better.
