They referred me to the wrong location in the hospital, did not let me check in (just ignored my request for checking in, told me to sit down until I voiced my concern at 5 minutes past the appointment time). The appointment before mine for an intake was supposed to last 5 (five!!!) minutes, of course it was a lot more. Overall, an organizational mess. I will have to see about the quality of the healthcare. I feel like I spent 2 hours getting to this hospital in vain.

I have just been in Holland for a week . Last Tuesday I was unfortunate enough to have an accident which meant I had to go to hospital . The care from the minute the ambulance picked me up to the treatment in the hospital was absolutely superb . A very calm atmosphere and everything explained to me beautifully . Good surgeons, some nurses are angels, but the majority of them don't care about you and just want to finish their shift and go home. Try not to come here, or if you do, don't stay for too long.

Very friendly and caring ambulance team (thanks Peter and colleague). The hospital itself is top notch regarding care, technology and even has a pharmacy and an ATM inside. A special thank you goes to doctor Mareike and her team, that treated me with the utmost care and empathy when I broke my ribs during an accident. Best place to get treatment while on holiday. The staff is super friendly and welcoming towards foreigners. Thank you again for your assistance and service.

I am happy to be finally writing a positive review because I completely had no faith in the healthcare system in the NL. My past medical experience in the NL has been truly traumatising. What I have experienced in the past with doctors from other hospitals, I wish upon no human being. However after coming to ISALA, Zwolle hospital, it has renewed my faith in the healthcare system. I have decided I am going to rely on ISALA as being my official hospital for any gynaecology or major medical issues, since they are extremely skilled, meticulous, professional, and most of all compassionate. I feel so bless to finally meet a medical staff that is professional, intelligent, skilled and with a great deal of integrity. Yes, you do have to wait to see a doctor, but it's definitely worth the wait. Especially if you are getting a dam good doctor. My doctor was excellent in communication skills, empathetic, conscientious, and most of all highly skilled. Most of the medical staff and nurses were the same as well. I wish I could send the whole staff each a bouquet of flowers with a thank you card. I would like to thank ISALA medical staff for being so kind heart-ed, caring, and professional. You guys demonstrate what healthcare should symbolise in the healthcare system. Please continue to keep up the good work.

Cardiology Dambrink: completely missed the point with the diagnosis of coronary artery stenosis, when this became clear during the cardiac catheterization, he could not indicate any alternative cause of the pressure on the chest and simply refused to answer my questions (whether it might be a problem with the lungs, asked twice, no answer twice, even to the question whether it was useful to use Becel - just an advertising slogan or really effective - there was no answer to the question whether it was useful to exercise vigorously during fitness or to take it easy, a very vague response came), all the medicines he prescribed are in the waste bin at the pharmacy.

I received a lot of help here. Competent, friendly doctors and nursing staff. Clean patient rooms. I felt well looked after. 👍

I am an international truck driver and in June 2023 I ran out of hypertension medication. I went to Isala and at the reception they told me to go to the emergency department. The manner in which I was helped was absolutely great. I am really grateful for the help I got that day and thank you so much. Very professional and efficient. 🙏🏋️❤️❤️

Came there completely unexpectedly, was treated very well in the pulmonary emergency and later also in the lung department. 10 nights are long but thanks to the nursing care it is more bearable. They are toppers

Fantastic hospital. Spent a week in a 'hotel room' in the Orthopedics department V2.4. Even though our daughter is now 19, it was very important that I was near her. Arranged a single room, where I also had a bed. The care was top notch and there was a lot of patience and understanding from the nurses in that department and the nutritional assistants, but also from the nurses in the recovery room, anesthesia nurse and doctors. Even after we had to return urgently after a week, we were able to sit together in a room again, albeit in a different department V2.5. Which was very important. Toppers from both departments, including from the ER and the children's department from more than 2 years ago.
