Great outdoor museum for young and old. There is a free playground by the Cafe/Restaurant Wereld Pan. Great ecologic exhibits in a 19th century fort.

It is a nice museum for kids and a beautiful building and environment in general. The staff at the reception is friendly. However, at the end of our visit the three of us asked the same thing: what is this about? We had to go through an olfactory salmon maze, played Jenga, learnt about satellites and house isolation, solved a crime, sneaked into former cannon-shooting posts, got instructed about climate change and took pictures with jungle animals. The museum needs to find its theme.

The place is lovely and has lots of activities but the museum itself does not worth the ticket for €10.50/person

My kid is crazy about this museum. He loves building with the sticks, the workshops, the earth quake simulator, the nature playground and the different labyrint they have. It's a unique experience with the dark paths and really gets you with all the nice information boards and games for the kids, a real interactive museum. At the end of the expedition you can reward yourself with a couple of coffee at their nice terrace and the kids can have fun in the playground where you might be able to see them. Have fun!

Beautiful, educational museum with lots of activities, both indoor and outdoor. You can learn about the nature, earth, environment, recycling etc. Good for small children as well as for older ones. I would highly recommend to visit when it's dry as there are many things to do outside.

I enjoyed it a lot. Too many activities for children under one roof. There is also a huge playground which is free to enter.

I was very surprised with the location, very nice! Wheelchair accessibility is what it tells you on the webpage. We found a few of the interactive displays not working unfortunately. Lunch with pancakes was a good choice, but I found the prices for the restaurant a bit over the top especially when the cappuccino is served in a small cup and the price is still the same, for where it normally was served in (staff told us that the cups were changed recently) All in all this was still not a bad day.

Beautiful location and lots of interesting installations and information about geography/navigation and earth science. The mix of indoor and outdoor is nice and the playground was a big hit with our children.

Taken from their website, GeoFort is an educational attraction on an exciting fort in the New Dutch Waterline in the field of cartography and navigation. It is indeed a really nice place to visit. Museum card is accepted here too. It is 1 hour drive from Amsterdam by car but is worth it. If you have a Minecraft fan like my son, they also have small workshop about it. We arrived around noon and after couple hours in the museum we spent the rest of the day at the 3D cafe while our children were playing in the outside playground. They enjoyed and endorsed this museum as child friendly.

The great museum for kids. Many things can be played outside of the building. The parking is free of charge. Only visiting while the weather is good.

Awesome geology museum, very informative and interesting, lots of facts, graphs, interactive installations. There is now a Minecraft workshop and quiz. Would recommend and come back here again

Amazing place to visit, especially with kids. There are so many fun activities to undertake here that its a bit overwhelming at first. We bought cheap tickets through SocialDeal for the entry. You can well spend an entire day here, so plan to arrive early. Especially if your kids like Minecraft, they'll enjoy the many Minecraft themed activities here. Free parking and 2 spots with EV chargers. The Minecraft workshop costs 5 euro per person extra on top of the normal entry fee and is only so and so. The boy doing the session is enthusiastic, but in the end its about seeing their Minecraft world representing The Netherlands and about 10 minutes where the kids can actually build something that will be discarded again after the session.

Completely underestimated the amount of activities available. We ended up spending the whole day there. Had a lot of fun. The restaurant is good apart from one thing, too many flies.
