Nice afternoon with friends. First to the glass blowing workshop to see the craftsmanship of glass blowing. Also immediately had lunch there. Tasty lunch, lots of choice. Then walk a bit to the museum. Nice to see the glassware over the years.

Lovely contemporary glass but I wish there was an English translation on the exhibited works. Beautiful glass, beautiful setting!

Nice museums with kind people. The museum is located next to a glass factory. Walking from Leerdam city centre to the museum was a nice experience, especially the view and some historical landmarks on the way.

If you like glass as an art form or you didn't know about what you can do with glass, then this is probably an eye opener. You can experience the actual making of a glass object (of art), or simply see the development of high end glass ware through slightly modern times. While walking along the river going from the museum to the glass workshop, you will pass the modern glass factory Royal Leerdam and see in the little harbor next to it how actually few resources they need to make glassware.

Very interesting museum. There are many things for children to do besides learning about glass.

Nice museum to visit with a nice overview of glassware from antiquity to the present. Beautiful examples of glassblowing art that you can admire live in the glassblowing hall in the center of Leerdam where you can also enjoy a delicious meal. All in all recommended for a fun day out.

It's not a big museum as I expected but the collection was still interesting enough to make a visit (with my museum card). We also went to the workshop to see live glass blowing too.

This museum is really great. It's the only glass museum here in the Netherlands and has a vast collection of different pieces of art by Dutch, French and Belgian designers. Most of the collection is based on pieces that have been made by the people in Leerdam themselves. The exposition is a little under development right now, so we got a discount on our tickets which was really nice. It was super interesting and I would love to go again some time.

The glass museum is a nice addition to the blowing workshop. Very nice and helpful staff. Nice to see old objects next to newer ones. Also many art-like objects. The decapitated bird object is not art. Just tasteless. It would be nice if that was left outside the collection

We visited sunny Sunday afternoon and there were only a few other visitors. We could enjoy each artwork in peace. There is a self-service cafe in the basement where you can make tea/coffee with a slice of cake. You just need to pay at voluntary basis. Beautiful idea.

An amazing and infinitely varied collection of glass art both contemporary and historical, with add-on options to see an ongoing live glass blowing display.
