There’s literally nothing to complain about this place. Tasty food, good coffee, nice atmosphere, friendly and attentive service. Perfect place for breakfast/brunch or just for a coffee. If only it wasn’t far away, I’d be here every week :)

Very nice place, food is good and coffee is very nice! You should def give it a try!! Matcha latte could be a bit bigger and the matcha taste could be a bit stronger. The eggs benedicts were a bit too saucy. Overall we had an amazing experience and the staff is very nice.

Great place for a weekend breakfast or brunch with friends or family. Breakfast board is highly recommended and coffee is really special. Just be aware there can be many people and there are not always available spots, but sitting outside is also nice, when it’s not raining, obviously;)

Really nice place! People are very welcoming and make you feel like talking to a friend. One of the best V60 I have ever had. They serve coffee beans from Friedhats. Breakfast choice is nice too. Delicious poached eggs and cooked spinach served on fresh slice of bread. Cozy atmosphere, nice music. No laptops during weekends. Definitely will come back to try the rest of the menu.

Hands down the best cafe in Rotterdam. If you’re used to the standards of Melbourne or London, this place will not disappoint. They serve proper coffee, pastries and when the kitchen is open, do a swell breakfast. To top it all off, they spin some chill tunes. Staff are super friendly and care about their customers - even on rainy days 🤪 (sometimes hard to find in this city). You’ll leave with a smile on your face.

Had a great quick lunch at ROAST in Rotterdam. Very kind service, great atmosphere and very cozy. It was rainy outside therefor I was even happier to get a table on my own. You order and pay (by card) at the counter only. Huge window front with higher seats, cozy side tables and more tables in the back. For nice weather I recommend the tables in front of the cafe, unless you are allergic to sun or it’s winter outside. Order a tasty cappuccino with oat milk and a smashed avo toast with an additional poached egg, both was served quite fast. Was sitting next to the kitchen and constantly saw tasty food going out. Also got bottles (tap) water. Very refreshing and without additional costs! Food was super tasty and is highly recommended! Also during the weekend (rare place that opens already at 9!)

Great chilling place for a breakfast/ brunch. food is good and the presentation is awesome. a little bit chilly inside in the winter but nothing you can't handle. parking might be a bit challenging in the area if you are coming by car

Coffee lovers must visit this place! The filter coffee and cappuccino are exceptional, and the breakfast choices are equally delicious, including vegetarian options. So far, this is the best spot for coffee in Rotterdam that I have visited. Highly recommendable!

Very welcoming cafe with delicious coffee and food! We’ve been there twice - once during the week and once during the weekend - would comfortably go again, and again. During the weekend we enjoyed a stellar menu full of brunch classics, made super well. The staff were even kind enough to give us a side serving of avocado to our little one. This week we went in and had cakes from their counter which were great wit well balanced flavours. The constant all around is the exquisite coffee, any coffee lover will instantly enjoy. The staff are all very knowledgeable about the coffee, the source and how they are all roasted, and how they are best enjoyed (black, white, filter etc.). Strongly recommend for those wanting to enjoy a good vibe and coffee, all a stone’s throw from Rotterdam city centre.

Bloody good Coffee! Bloody good tea! Bloody good food! And the staff is really friendly. Absolutely enjoyed it. It was our first visit, but it will definitely not be the last. Loved it!

Cool new coffee place with all day breakfast in Rotterdam West! I tried the eggs Benedict with avocado and salmon and the portion was enormous! Of course it was also really tasty. The coffee is also great👍🏻 You can choose for yourself how would you like your eggs on a toast to be cooked (poached, scrambled, etc) and what to add to it - bacon, avocado, salmon or other options. Staff is super friendly as well, so I definitely recommend visiting this place🤗

Good food, great service, incredible coffee! There’s always an interesting selection of specialty beans, but even their regular coffee is amazing, as well as their decaf (it’s usually hard to find a good decaf). The atmosphere is cosy and the team is genuinely friendly and welcoming, and you just feel happy being here. A true gem in this country!

Great little coffee spot, perfect for cozy cold mornings in Rotterdam. The food looked nice but we came only for coffee and tea.

The coffee, the banana bread, and the muffin all were so good. Definitely will come here again. I tried their toast with PB and jam, it was also nice but I think it needed some fruits with it to make it less dry.

This place is amazing. I live close by and even though I prefer cooking breakfast myself, this place is just so inviting with delicious food and insanely good coffee quality. The staff is always nice and solves any issues that you might have (personally, haven't experienced any issues at all). Even though I'm switching apartments I would still go to this place from time to time.

ROAST is a really nice place for a good start into the day. Great staff, excellent coffee and yummy food! They even "warned" us, that the kitchen might need a little longer that day to prepare the food - totally fine, but if you're lacking the information, you might start to get grumpy. I recommend the Gingershots, they are really spicy and yummy. It was super delicious and we would come back any time when in Rotterdam!

A very sweet place with delicious coffee and chai latte. My favorite place for breakfast is in our neighborhood. Everyone is so friendly, helpful, and attentive. Always give glass of water with a coffee. Very cozy and stylish interior. Highly recommended!

Visited Roast for the first time recently with a friend. The weather was nice so we sat outside. The food was great. We had the Bagel with salmon and eggs, and the Brioche bun breakfast. They kindly agreed to substitute the bacon on the bun for Halloumi. Coffee was good too, although for me personally not amazing.

On my trip to Rotterdam I stumbled upon Roast, Ellis and Kim's coffeeshop. I asked what kind of roast and beans they used, and I chose a washed Colombian (if I remember correctly) V60. It was really good! Besides that it was great, I went and stroke up a conversation with Ellis. He's immensely passionate about coffee and knows a great deal about it, definitely knows what he is talking about. It was one of the more pleasurable conversations I had in a coffeeshop! Come for good (great) coffee, stay for a good talk. It was enjoyable, thanks Ellis!

I hated coffee, but this place revealed a new world to me. The food is really great! Probably the only place I’m willing to have a cup of coffee now. Really nice service and the people gave us great recommendations for beginners and un-enthusiasts.

Loved the attitude of staff. Friendly gesture to make your day special. Tried smoked salmon sandwich toast for take-away. It was still intact and best taste results with each bite. Tried turmeric latte which also turned out to be pretty nice and warm drink. If you are there, do give it a try on sugar-free banana bread, chocolate bars and special hot-drink for a month.

We visited just before the second lockdown, and so glad that we did! I'd heard that the coffee was amazing, and it even surpassed our expectation. I probably could have eaten about 90% of items on the menu it all looked so amazing, but finally chose the salmon and avocado, very happy with my choice - delicious and filling. Great, friendly service and such a warm and inviting atmosphere. We loved the small touches, such as putting water on the table as soon as we sat down. Couldn't fault a thing. I even left with a peanut butter brownie for the road 😍 Will definitely be back for takeaway asap

I've been here since they opened and every visit has been great. Staff is super friendly, coffee is great, food too. Outside seating since the beginning and a much needed addition to Rotterdam west.
