Just went for a take away, were left waiting for our pizzas for nearly an hour. We got 4 pizzas eventually after asking for them multiple times when they arrived an hour late they were all cold and needed reheating. The “Shrimp me up” pizza had 2 full shrimp on it. Would not recommend.

The crispy thin crust of my custom-ordered "Bajan Pie” was a perfect compliment and conveyance to hold the gooey mozzarella, sweet and slightly caramelized plantains, the tender and slightly charged pork (mine not so “rum-infused”), and the little nibbles of green Scotch Bonnet peppers, that added a warm and floral kick to each bite. My epicurean curiosity now successfully sated, the lovely Bajan Pizza pie was well worth the hour commute to and from, plus the great service of the friendly staff and the view of the sun setting over Payne’s Bay right across the street helped make the experience most joyful

Lovely staff with great service. The pizza was lovely best on the island! Very accommodating even made my daughter a pizza a garlic bread which is her favourite.

Mixed bag on this one. Having just arrived in Barbados, we wanted something to eat after a long day travelling. This place was a 5 min walk from our accommodation and had been recommended by one of the staff. The food was very tasty (we all had different - pizza, fish, pork, etc.), and we were able to kick off our rum punch tasing! However, the service was extremely slow. I felt quite sorry for the woman working there as she seemed to be struggling on her own, but equally I couldn't fathom what was taking so long to get drinks especially. Also at the end of our meal, my daughter couldn't finish her pizza and they said they could box it up. We waited over 15 minutes by which time it was pretty clear she'd forgotten and just thrown it out. Rather than admit that though she just kept saying "its coming", which made me suspect they were cooking a new one. Tired and hot, we called it a night and left without it. I would recommend this place for the food, but I just hope they have more staff on when you go.

First off, the guy they hired to play live music was great. His name was John Ryttersgaard and surprisingly, the country music he played was very nice. So the atmosphere was fun and pleasant. But that's about as far as the fun times went. The food took almost an hour to come out. The pork chop my wife had was dry. The chips that came with my burger were oversalted. The burger itself had a dry, grainy texture and was also too salty. As for service, I ordered bacon and cheese with my burger. When I got the burger, there was none on it. I had to wait another 15 minutes for that to be rectified, even having to remind the server. However, the way it was rectified was very unprofessional. Rather than taking my plate back to the kitchen to redress the burger, a smaller plate with bacon and cheese was brought out and given to me... I had to add them on myself. The bacon itself was undercooked... so it wasn't crispy and delicious. It was tough and fatty. And the cheese was just a thick slice of a block of cheese that one would buy at the supermarket. I could not believe it. All in all, this place suffers from a lack of staff who are trained in both cooking and serving. I expect much more when the total cost of two meals comes up to $50 USD.

On 02/26, my partner and I decided to go here for his birthday since we would always pass by and say that we should try it out. Though we were walk-ins, we were graciously accommodated by Lisa and another hostess whose name we cannot remember. We ordered fish cakes as a starter and these were so delicious that we ordered a second set. We also ordered a large Spicy Hog pizza (as seen in the photo) and this did not disappoint. We also ordered some drinks – blended fruit punch for me, rum, amaretto and whiskey sours for him. The food and drinks were truly enjoyed. Entertainer Philip 7 also set the bar with his performances and wished my partner happy birthday over the mic so that was truly appreciated. We were definitely not disappointed in our decision to go here for his birthday and we had a fantastic time.

We recommend you go elsewhere, literally anywhere else, for food. For a restaurant specialising in pizza we really did not expect one of our pizzas to come out a full hour after the first one. When we got there there were only people at a couple of tables, it certainly was not full, four tables including us. The food should arrive at the table for everyone at the same time. My pizza was overcooked and crispy browned. Not inedible, but not far off. We only got the second pizza because we had to chase it up a couple of times with the waiting staff. That should not happen, waiting staff should be able to be on top of these things. My pizza choice was not one my girlfriend liked, so she had to sit and wait for an hour until her pizza eventually came, by which time she had gone beyond being hungry. No satisfactory explanation for the hour wait was given. Pizza takes a couple of minutes to cook. At one point we were told the chef had made her pizza, but was not happy with it, so did not send it out. Come on. It is pizza. If you cannot get pizza right in a restaurant that serves lots of pizza you should consider having a rethink of what you are doing. Especially if you then can have another pizza ready just after. They take a couple of minutes to prepare and the same to cook. There was no real explanation, no sincere apology and no adjustment of the bill for the poor service and overall experience. We eat pizza regularly and you are a few minutes walk away from us, but we will not be returning. It felt to us as if you were not bothered about the customer experience, perhaps thinking it is tourists, so just charge the full amount, they will be gone and new tourists will be arriving next week, I do not know. Maybe not. We live in Barbados. Any restaurant can have a bad night, I have worked in and owned restaurants, so I understand this. But if you do have a bad night, own it. Be pro active and own up to the customer, do not wait for the customer to come to you. A sincere apology and a small gesture goes a long way in goodwill. Personally I would suggest you should have not charged for a pizza that took an hour longer than the first pizza. Yes, my girlfriend did eat it, but at that point after waiting so long, her enjoyment was gone. Having had a busy day at work, she was so hungry by then, she would have eaten most anything. Alternate proposal. We had non alcoholic fruit punch drinks, a couple of dollars each, the least you could have done was to have waived the cost of them from the bill. But, no. The bill was presented with everything charged at full price. We paid, in full, because I really do not like to have to make a fuss. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend going here for pizza. Do not just take our word for it, read the other reviews, ours is not the only one saying these things. Make your own decision. There are lots of places serving pizza in Barbados, choose one that is competent and consistently good. Lots of the management replies say they will do better, but you are not.

We ate here twice and takeout once so,yes we liked the very thin crust pizza. Also, their menu has much more than pizza. Entertainment a couple nights a week. Told, by staff, they are Open to 11:00 most nights (saw a listing that says closed at 8:00)

Relaxed unassuming spot, close to our hotel, but the restaurant has one of the best and thinnest crust pizzas I have had. Live music after 730pm was a bonus. We loved the ambiance.

Wukkup pizza was fair. Couldn't see or taste enough pork to tell if it was rum flavored. Jerk chicken wrap, well the teeny bits of chicken was spicy, but the wrap itself was so small I couldn't barely find the filling. Server lady was pleasant enough.

Airy. Cozy. Light. Nice staff. Pizza portions are small, so you may need three pizzas if you're really hungry; if thin crust is your favorite then this paper thin crust is for you. The wait was a bit long, but it didn't feel like a long wait. Drinks are nice but a bit on the light side in terms of alcohol.

We went as a party of 7.. the food was decent enough but my daughters meal came out so late the rest of us had nearly finished which is so poor. Make everyone wait not bring the food out in instalments

Really think crust pizza. Great flavour to the toppings we had. I found that for the price the fries (chips) portion was rather small. Very quick service and staff very friendly

Worst pizza ever do not even bother going, paper thin crust and no flavour. The pasta was the driest pasta I have ever tasted no creamy Alfredo sauce hard grilled bread and a small portion. It is clear some of these reviews are fake. Do not waste your money on this place. ⛔ 👎

This was THE WORST pizza I have ever tasted...I ordered two pizzas. the meat lovers and the spicy hog. the spicy hog was melted cheese on the thinnest slice of crust EVER. it was supposed to be alfredo sauce..IT HAD NONE!!!. These people are doing nonsense and calling it food. Please stop this and give patrons proper food for their hard earned money. HONESTLY I would have like my money back. SOOOO Disappointed.

the gluten free pizza dough was a bit soggy, I think maybe 2 extra minutes baking would've solved this, otherwise the pizza was yummy, it had good flavour and distribution, I will say it was a bit pricy, $10 extra dollar for gluten free pizza is a bit ridiculous.

Solid casual place right on Rt 1. Pizza not bad if you're picky about your pizza. Thin crust and solid flavors. A little light on the toppings, so you may want to ask for extra of your favorites. The pizza with spinach had maybe 6 small leaves on the large pie, for example. Burger was not as good as hoped, on the sweet side with a bbq flavor. Fries were good. We came on a Saturday night and were the only guests. Servers were attentive. We ate outside on the picnic tables. Good place for a casual meal.

Great food, friendly and fast service! Our family of 6 went for supper, everyone had something different from BBQ chicken, coconut shrimp, ribs and pizza everyone’s food was great, the service was quick and super friendly and the prices are very reasonable! Highly recommend this place if you are in the area.

Great to find gluten free pizza that tastes great on the island. The pizza options all have an interesting Bajan twist. So far I have tried the gluten free Wukkup & Rum and the Tropicana - both tasted great with a light base.

The best thing I can say about the food... is that the band is entertaining. Get a rum punch, order the fish cakes, tip the band. Keep it moving.

Got to Barbados from the US today and I would like to tell you my experience with island direct and De Clay Oven Ordered food at 5:38pm. Order was accepted by the restaurant in under ten minutes with a prepared time for 6:28. Sounds good, we are incredibly hungry At 7:20 I call the restaurant to check in as I feel like it’s been a while since the food was ready - I was told would be 30-35 mins. I’m incredibly sleep deprived so I said okay. At 7:25 I call back as I did the math and decided and hour and a half to deliver is way too wrong and maybe I said the order number wrong or there was some miscommunication. She said she would try to call the people who were going to deliver the food as they had not picked it up - it took them an HOUR and MULTIPLE calls from me to call the driver?? She asked I call back five minutes later. I did, and she said she couldn’t get in touch with the driver. At 7:45 I call back to check in and she hands me off to her manager. Her manager explains that their delivery service is third party so it’s not their fault and says they had tried to call the driver after I called in. I ask if they’re still planning on sending food (including fish) that has been sitting for over an hour and she says it’s not her fault. Call back at 8pm and there’s no update but they’re going to contact the driver again. Food finally arrives at 8:26. Wedge potatoes are sad, limp oily beings and the food is lukewarm at best. Sauce has fallen away from the pasta (it was under salted and undercheesed anyway for an alfredo) and the garlic bread is soggy. Most of the flavors are good and I think the food fresh may be nice, but the lack of response from the restaurant (as someone who used to work in the industry) I find alarming. Contacted Island Direct via their “chat” function and they got back to me over 30 minutes later. They put USD2.50 back on my account for the issue. I paid USD6 for the delivery in the first place. Personally, I feel that the bad parties are both Island Direct and De Clay Oven but while I may consider eating at De Clay Oven again in the future (never delivery!!) I will not be using Island Direct again ever.

Got two pizzas to takeaway, unfortunately they got one of them wrong (was meant to be meaty - yet they forgot the meat). They were also more like cheese on toast than pizza.

Heard great things about the food and music at de clay oven so went there last night for live Tuesday. Hostess was really nice. She took our order when she saw the waitress was too busy to get us. The waitress brought our drink BUT then I saw a cockroach on the wall over my husbands head which was crawling towards the ceiling. It was noticed by the table next to us as well. A member of this table got up to get someone to deal with it. A man came out looked at it and just turned off the light. At this point in freaking out because I HATE COCKROACHES. The cockroach keeps moving and I’m terrified it’s gonna drop down on me. So I run out down the stairs to a wet unused table outside. I sit down listening to the great music in peace waiting on the food. THEN the RUDEST waitress comes up to me and tell me I can’t sit at the wet unused table. I explain to her that I’m terrified of cockroaches and I can’t sit at the table inside with a cockroach above my head. She tells me I shld have said something instead of sitting at another table and that I need to move. I explain that a member of their restaurant was told about the issue and his response was to just turn off the light. She then tells me I have to move and that they have no control over cockroaches. At this point I leave because there is no way I’m gonna argue with a restaurant if they don’t think they are responsible for pest control at their establishment. AT NO POINT DID SHE EVEN THINK AN APOLOGY WAS NEEDED. At no point did she think anything was wrong with the situation. This morning I am in still in shock. Nothing has ever happened to me at a restaurant like this before.

Good quality ingredients on a thin crusted pizza. I had a vegetarian option with a pesto sauce base, feta cheese and mushrooms. The flavor profile took some getting used to but it tasted pretty good. Ingredients were definitely fresh. Parking is to the back.

Very rustic, quaint ambience. The topping repertoire is one of the largest I've seen in Barbados frankly, including some of my personal faves like anchovies! Lots of veggie toppings, lots of carnivore toppings. This isn't a jiffy pizza place, it's real food, so it takes a while but worth it. Staff was great!!

If you like thin crust pizza this is the place to go. The pizza ranges from plain cheese to meat lovers, hawaiian or veggie. They also have some lovely pasta dishes and salad. Outdoor seating is a plus!

Ordered take out, needed to relax and not pay another $300 fine dining dinner We went for pizza and a salad. It was good. Thin crust, got the rum infused pork with plantains....great combo. Staff was “ok” when walking in to pick up. No one smiled but at least they greeted you unlike other restaurants here in Barbados

Situated on the main road along Highway One. It sits almost opposite the Paynes Bay Fish market. Good thin crust pizza, albeit a bit on the expensive side. But it's the only show for pizza along the coast so maybe the higher price is worthwhile unless you feel like driving quite a distance for an alternative. Owned and managed by a nice group of people who want to build a successful business at this location. I recommend it for the adventurous traveller.

Pizza is of the worst quality. The tomatoe sauce is a cosco canned-type ragu, the cheese got hard within 15 minutes, and the crust is a thin-layer of bland bread.
