Normally I would give 4 stars but compare to the other hotels close by it’s a BIG 5! Very comfortable apartments with an awesome views, both to the sea or to the beautiful gardens and so called mutual area. In the rooms you can find everything you need and more. Every room has a balcony or terrace. The food was decent, definitely not WOW but in Cuba we couldn’t ask for more!The whole stuff was ridiculously nice and helpful. Hotel also have plenty of events and even in this hard post COVID time they’re really trying their best! It’s both family and single friendly! The whole property is pretty big but you can go everywhere with an electronic hotel cars (TAXI). You can also find 2 beautiful beaches, one is very visible and easy to exes the other one is a bit further but in my opinion that’s much better - it’s almost like a secret beach or hideaway. The front desk guys are incredibly helpful and professional. In Holguin area highly recommend!

I'm going home tomorrow and I'm very happy with my stay at this hotel. The resort is new and really at a high level. Modern and clean rooms. Cleaning is also daily. It was great that there was a baby cot waiting for us. our son enjoyed all the attractions of the swimming pools, playground and children's club. I love the coffee they serve at the lobby bar. Beach and water were the most important for me and met my expectations. Clean beautiful sand, warm transparent water. manager Alberto an amazing man who will help in any matter. I'll be happy to tell more if anyone has any questions. I have also amazing pictures.

This was my second time in Cuba, staying at an Iberostar resort. I absolutely recommend coming to stay here at this resort- the people here are some of the nicest you’ll ever meet. The hotel itself was always immaculate, rooms were spacious and modern. The pool was a delight, as was the beach. We ventured off and did a few excursions that the resort had to offer and I have to say they were AMAZING!!! There were a few issues when it came to the food (but that was NOT the resorts fault) due to the sanctions put on Russia and the resort not being able to get the supplies they needed (ex. flour or vodka) The night time entertainment was a blast and they always had something separate for the kiddies and then the adults. The karaoke night was probably the best night of the week!

First trip to Cuba, and I love our choice of hotel. Friendly and kind staff, majority smiling and happy. Resort is quiet and spacious. Lots of activities for the family. If you don't like walking it may not be the best choice for you but the hotel has golf cars to take you to the different sections. The food my family of 5 enjoyed two boys 18 and 16 with our 8 year old daughter. The beach is lovely with water activities. I enjoyed my stay here.

Please save your money. Combination flying with Sunwing and staying at this resort is now the wrist vacation ever had. The food was horrible and beyond, they could not even get the pasta right. To top it off they never had enough food for the guest or running out of the basics like bread and cheese. Just disgusting. None of the staff are trained and really don't care about the guests. Not enough cups to drink you have hold on to a cup while you are there just to ensure a drink. The shows are a joke. Iberostar what happened? Took my money and could not offer over half of the services stating on the web site. The photos of the food on the reviews are fake. I really wonder why there are positive reviews every person I spoke with feel the same negative and felt ripped off.

The staff are so accommodating. They are very genuine and are so sweet. We met some friends from Canada and Arturo offered us a great lobster dinner for her birthday. I cannot express how nice the staff is…from cleaning the room, to dancing with the guests, they make sure everyone is having a good time at their resort.

Food was aweful. They serves us a bowl of hot water with tuna and Soy saucs. It tasted wrong. Also, but not their entire fault, there was lots of stuff missing in menus. As for services, it was uneven. Unable to know the activities of the week. People were nice only when you flashes cash. The beach is worth all the above thought.. It was marvelous with lots of sea life. There is a little beach perfect for young kids, not too deep and no waves.

This resort is really new and nice! The rooms and pool are beautiful and there is a fantastic beach! The staff are all so friendly and you are able to build a fun relationship with them over the course of your stay! Arturo and Carlos in particular are great. As a bonus, the food is much better than I had anticipated for Cuba :)

The rooms are nice and comfy and clean. The staff try their best for sure and are really friendly and helpful with an occasional random staff who was faking the nice just to get through the day. The location was beautiful. That being said I found the food to be typical of the area but....at a 5 star hotel I was expecting more. For the amount of money that was spent I could have had the same vacation for a fraction of the price at a 3.5 star hotel and I know cuz I have. Sorry I don't mean to knit pick but.... All in all it is a beautiful resort but not worth the $$$

Just returned from a family vacation and it was great! We brought our 2 kids, 6 & 1 year olds and they loved it. Unfortunately the splash pad was out of commission due to them doing some repairs but the beach and the pool were top notch. The food was great, no real shortages on anything but if I had to nitpick, it was a bit repetitive at the buffet. Overall our stay was amazing. The grounds were very well kept, the beaches were beautiful, food was better then average for Cuba, hospitality was top notch and entertainment for kids and adults was great! I would 100% recommend going here especially if you have children.

My family and I had a great time at this resort.The people( staff and management) were key to making our trip amazing. The effort, helpfulness, and kindness of the staff was greatly appreciated. The last day was especially fantastic as the dinner had quality music and good food. The serene beach is a great way to spend the time as well as the pool, with the activities planned everyday. The Cuban party was a highlight for us with authentic Cuban food and entertainment. The 24/7 snack bar was good spot as well, Special thanks to Hipolito a manager there, as he was always ready to accommodate us and was a big help.

The wifi is included, but very unreliable. Felt like over 50% of patrons were locals. Overall quality of the food was mediocre at best. No variety. Basically the same food every day. A la carte menu are food from the buffet that was fancied up to. They had no fresh fish but canned sardines instead.

This review is for the regular section, not the Coral section. Beaches: The small one near the hotel is great for kids as water is shallow. We saw many hermit crabs, regular crabs and sea slugs. The large beach is 10-15 minutes walk away and has crystal blue water. We snorkelled near the rocks on the Playa Pesquero Hotel side, and saw many sea urchins and fishes. Rooms: Clean, no minibar during our stay, filtered water is provided refillable bottles, shampoo and soap are provided though they seem to be exactly the same even though in different bottles. Internet: Our package came with free internet. They give you 5h to start and you can renew as many times as you want by going to the front desk or calling. Our room has terrible reception though. Food: A la carte restaurants were not worth the wait to reserve them. The dishes do not match the menu descriptions, and basically same food as in the buffet. Buffet has very little vegetables, there was pasta only once, pizza only once, no burgers or hot dog, but everyday had grilled fish/meat and local Cuban dishes. Some days lacked ketchup/mayo/soy sauce, and food were not frequently refilled. No shrimps, no lobsters. Service: Polite but very slow, but we were on vacation so we didn't mind. Tipping helps. Overall experience was positive. For those with young kids, the playground facilities are rusty and not in good shape. If you need hot water, bring a thermos to get from the lobby as they do not have boilers or coffee makers in the room. Building #26 was the best location.

So impressed with this resort, the beaches, the food and drinks and the staff are INCREDIBLE. The rooms are modern and so clean. We are loving having the option of two beaches, the pools are clean and the entertainment is a blast. At the buffets there is something for everyone, an abundance of options. We already can’t wait to come back next year!!

I love this resort! I highly recommend it. The staff were amazing, always greeted you with a smile. I felt very comfortable there. José and Carlos in particular were great with their services. Rafael and Rodolfo were great and quick with the buggies. Everyone was great. Just overall great place.

Good resort, lovely staff and service. Our hotel room was pretty good, bathrooms are luxurious and rooms are clean. There are very little choices for food, especially if you have dietary restrictions. I am gluten free, and lived off of rice and chicken the entire week. It is clear they are doing their best with the ingredients they are provided with, but it would’ve been nicer to have a couple more options for meals. Reserving the fancy restaurants such as the Mediterranean are not worth it at all. The food is just like the buffet and quite bad. The beaches are all beautiful, and the extra activities such as the dolphin swimming are 100% worth it. The wifi provided throughout the resort / per room is absolute garbage. You have to walk down to the office every 5 hours to renew it, and it’s quality is very poor. I ended up using a roaming plan the entire week. One more thing i would recommend to anybody bringing devices is to download a VPN on your phone. The resort wifi blocks off social media, internet, and app store downloads on your devices. We hadn’t realized that until we got there. Overall, our stay here was top tier and a very enjoyable family experience.

Nice resort! The location is good and you can walk around on the beach and see other resorts nearby. There are a few good spots for snorkeling. The only bad part was the food and drinks. The resort is not vegan or vegetarian friendly and has no natural juice for cocktails. Water was filtered, so it has a taste that took as few days to get used to it.

We just came back from our two week stay (standard room) and are very happy to report that it is a great hotel if you are looking for a quiet relaxing place. The hotel is just few years old and the man made beach is just wonderful. Having said that I need to mention that lots of times we went to Playa Pesquera (through the bridge) due to the wind coming to our shore. Rooms are in excellent condition, very spacious and full of light. We stayed in #26315 and had a beautiful view of the bay, beach and partially an ocean. The grounds of the hotel are well manicured and well taken care of. Service was more than excellent and all employees were very pleasant, friendly and helpful. Food and selection of alcoholic drinks was very impressive as well. Arturo, the hotel manager (and Mariela, front desk manager) are extremely caring and making sure your stay is as excellent as possible. They both work very hard and take their time to address you personally as their guests. This definitely made our stay enjoyable and we felt very well taken care of.

We enjoyed a week at the Iberostar Selection Holguin in March 2022. The staff were amazing, always friendly and helpful. There was a great selection of food in the buffet, fresh fish and seafood everyday. There were lots of activity for our teenagers - tennis, gym, water volleyball, beach volleyball, competitions at the pool. Our rooms were large and clean. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would recommend this resort.

Leaving today after our amazing stay at Iberostar Selection Holguin. Loved everything! Rooms are very clean, drinks are yummy, and staff is great! Everyone goes out of their way to help you . Visited mid august 2022. Scenery and staff were great. Carlos (entertainer) was amazing and always put 100% effort to make shows great. Alejandro (bartender) was also nice and friendly at the playa pesquero. The food at the buffet was below average and seems like the restaurants use the same food, make it more fancy and give to customers. Should diversify their selection by including shrimp, and more chicken/beef/fish options.

Just visited this location! Everyone at the resort is very accommodating and friendly . The resort scenery and layout is very beautiful. They listen and accommodate all requests and suggestions. They are very determined to provide satisfaction and better our stay especially Hipolito! (Manager) We loved the coffee & cappuccino. They don’t joke around with coffee here at Cuba. They’re always daily activities planned at the pool and at the resort and are fun for both adults and children. There's a great variety of souvenirs of good quality from vendors that sell on the property. The beach is very clean and nice as well. Make sure to go during high season for the best quality items, food, and experience! All of the management and staff (drivers, maids, wait staff) go above and beyond for the guests. They really try to push their Cuban traditions to make sure you learn and experience something new. There's a wide variety of food and special dinner restaurants aswell!

Had a great time. The restaurants were quite good. The international show was very entertaining. The beach was fantastic and the organized pool games were fun. I loved that the entire resort was very, very clean. Really excellent service!

Amazing place to stay! We were so happy to booked our first Cuba trip with our Family, 3 adults and 6 children ranging from 6-15 years old. The food was great and the staff is so helpful! We will surely comes back, this hotel and resort is very highly recommended! Mr. Hipolito and the team are very accommodating! They clean the rooms everyday. The front desk is 24/7 open. The drinks is the blasts! From cocktails to hard drinks! The fine dinning is another family friendly dinning. The Gourmet and the Mediterranean is a must try! Snack Bar open 24 hours. I've had such a wonderful time and experience at this hotel. It is my second visit within a month. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming And have no problem taking care of anything you may possibly need. If you haven't visited Holguin, Cuba and plan to do so in the near future. Don't exclude Iberostar’s Selection hotel as one of your mainstays. You won't regret it! ☆☆☆☆☆

My partner and I are currently here and having a wonderful time. The customer service is excellent. If there are any issues, please reach out to them. The rooms are very clean and very well maintained. The buffet has a variety of meals, for vegetarian and non vegetarian. The restaurants are remarkable. Please try them. The beaches are beautiful as always. There's a smaller beach (we love it) and the bigger beach. You can walk over the bridge or ask to be dropped off. The waiters, waitresses, and everyone else in the entire resort are extremely friendly and polite. The entertainment staff, bartenders, maids.. Thank you for your hard work and dedication. Special shout out to Maylen and Katia [Kathy] from the entertainment crew. The restaurant manager Hipolito Amarante, always checking in and making sure everything is okay. He always has a pleasant smile. Thank you for everything. The managers in public relations are quite helpful. They try their best to make your stay a pleasant one. The pool and garden are well maintained. Overall, it's a beautiful resort. Will definitely come back. Thank you for making our stay pleasant and relaxing.

Very good vacation and the best price. Beaches are great and the services met all our needs. We heard of some food shortages but we seemed to have everything. Shout out to Reinier at the Cigar bar (Aromas). Best bartender ever. Made the best drinks and always had a smile on his face.
