Good reviews are certainly from Dutch people with low standards. It's a nice location but the food is terrible and service is quite bad. I guess that's what happens when it's only 15 year old kids working. Nothing wrong with their efforts though. We were told the kitchen closed after placing our order. But then when we were leaving our food arrived. The quality of the food is ridiculous and way overpriced for what you get. Iced americano was served as a hot americano with a glass with ice cubes alongside of it. The hot ham sandwich was cold, with cashews and hazelnuts instead of pinenuts. The tables weren't being cleaned. Avoid if possible or bring your own food.

Nice outdoor terrace to sit and have a drink after a walk/cycle. Nice menu with plenty of choice. Dog friendly. Child friendly with a play area.

This is a very nice place if you have an interesting book or just like sitting - and are not particularly hungry or thirsty. The views are nice and the seats are comfortable — which is a plus as you will spend at least 40 minutes waiting for your beverage or food. Best bring your own. The food is ok — but the owner does not hire enough staff and is just milking it.

A very simple but nice place if you go for a bike ride on the 'Nederlandse heide'. Its a great place if you are with kids. Try the dennekoek, it is one of my favourites here.

Beautiful location at the heather between Bussum and Hilversum. All around great biking, hiking and running options. They have good vegetarian options and a very nice terras. Simple but good lunch dishes. At ten in the morning breakfast options. In the afternoon a place for drinks and snacks in the sun. Ordering with your mobile possible, bit luckily they still have personnel to serve and help out. I had a sandwich hummus which was good. Coffee could be stronger, but was ok. Little playground for small kids. Don't sit too close if you want to have an adult conversation.....

Popular place to have a drink or a pancake while walking. They are the only Horeca around, which results on rather high prices and average quality. Terrace is nice place to rest.

In full wildlife. Super secure for kids. Simple menu but tasty. Great pause in a calm environment.

The dirt road towards the teahouse had so many Bumba i was afraid for my car at a few places. The place itself feels tired and old. The paint is coming off in places, to go to the bathroom you have to go outside. Staff was friendly and food was good

Such a beautiful location and such a bad service. We waited for an hour for our sandwiches and then still 20 mins for coffee. A lot of staff but apparently making mistakes in ordering or not not enough staff in the kitchen, but it’s just so slow. Definitely changing their system of work may help to have an effective smooth flow. Food is good though (but cold in our case)

Great cafe with lots of area to sit & relax. Best part is attached fields of heather flowers, simply amazing.

The food was made in heaven. We ordered 3 things: Fries with rendang, fries with pulled chicken and a sandwich with grilled vegetables. We shared everything and it was so good. The indoor dining area is a little small so it felt a bit crowded and it was quite loud. However this wasn’t much of a problem. When the weather gets better, you can also sit outside which offers a beautiful view of the Larense hei.

Nice place for starting a walk, nice little playground for kids. Sandwiches are ok, but not worth the money. Staff is friendly, but in our case forgot some of our order twice and spilt a cup of hot kurkuma tea over one of our group, leaving their clothes permanently stained. No mention was made to this after a simple sorry.

Nice place to eat and drink during a walk in the nature reserve park "Zuiderheide" or just to drive there for a good lunch.

Everything about this place is nice the location/food/staff in the summer it's fully booked so if you want to have a table maybe you need to call in advance or just bring a a little blanket to sit on in the area and order some take away 😉

Good for coffee, tea or hot chocolate with some pastry or on other moments of the day for lunch or even better some alcoholic beverages with nice finger foods. Best to stop by after a walk in the nature!
