Summary: Don’t stay here if you’re Asian because you will be treated poorly. Double standards. Racism. Staff not friendly at all. Seems to be selective at being friendly. Maybe because I’m Asian so I’m treated less. During check in counter staff was giving me a grumpy and annoyed face, unfriendly welcome but when it’s someone who’s European she smiled and was so friendly to her. During breakfast same thing as well, nobody offered me tea or coffee when I came while the other patrons who are white get the proper treatment. Only until my friend (who’s caucasian) came over then did I get the same treatment as others. This is absolutely disappointing coming from a four star hotel and a Hilton. So much for preaching diversity and inclusion 🙄🙄🙄 My stay was an unpleasant one. The only saving grace of this hotel is Yasmin and a male receptionist of African descent that I didn’t manage to get his name - they were the only staff in this hotel who were friendly to me and respected me. The others (especially the female front desk lady of African descent) had bad attitude and was impatient. Terrible. Ordering room service was also pain in the arse. When calling the front desk to tell them I wanna order room service she was so rude. She questioned me asking why am I not using the QR code they gave. 🙄🙄🙄 Rooms are old and there’s mould in the bathroom… toiletries like toothpaste brush need to be asked for. Customer service in this hotel sucks.

Consider staying elsewhere, the brand and hype don't worth the cost. I've had one of my most absurd stay ever in this hotel really poorly managed. The location and rooms are decent, but the pains that came with it really made me regret my stay. The service is pathetic. I stayed 5 nights. Above it all, be ready to constantly queue. For the lifts (dreadfully slow), for the reception (don't expect an express check-in) and for the breakfast (even though mine was included, I simply skipped it twice due to how long I had to wait each morning). Enjoy: 1- My room wasn't ready when I arrived, even though it was late. I was given a new room after waiting quite a while. 2- My key card kept being deactivated and I asked reception a few times to fix it. One night, the tall employee with an obnoxious tone at the reception didn't believe I stayed at this hotel (!) and wanted to follow me to the room. I had to raise my voice to bring this nonsense to an end. 3- Worst of it all, and something I can't comprehend, is that they mixed up my booking so I came back one day from outside and they HAD CLEARED MY ROOM + PUT ALL MY STUFF IN A PLASTIC BAG. Yes, they thought I had gone! 4- After my stay, I realised they had overcharged me and they even charged me for "no show fees" because they just were completely clueless about service management. I'm talking about charging me 1400€ extra here, not just little add-ons. It took 10 days of emails with their ridiculous manager to obtain refund and credits. And even then, I received emails that were meant for other guests. The only good thing that came out of this booking is that now, when friends ask me to share any dreadful stories about staying at a hotel, I will forever have the Hilton Angel as a reference. I travel a lot and this place has simply the worst customer service and hotel comfort. Thanks for the memories!

I'm disappointed with my Hilton experience. Despite arriving at 6:30 pm for a 3:30 pm check-in, my room wasn't ready. During my wait, other guests were checked in promptly. While the reception area is appealing, the rest of the hotel appears worn, and my room was both disappointing and unclean. On the second night, a foul smell emanated from the bathroom drains. Despite reporting these issues, no action was taken, and promises of a reduced bill went unfulfilled at checkout. When I called for a VAT invoice, the receptionist acknowledged the problems but offered only 10,000 Hilton points, a fraction of one night's cost. Subpar hotel, unsatisfactory customer service—won't consider staying again. The newly refurbished Premier Inn across the road seems like a superior choice.

Stayed at this hotel for two nights 4-6th Jan 2024 as family of 3. We recieved a free ‘Gold’ Hilton Honors upgrade to an Executive room. The stay was brilliant from start to finish. All staff super friendly and helpful especially Hassan in the Executive Lounge. The hotel had VIP guest during our stay Luke Humphries, Luke Littler and darts entourage. This had no impact on our stay and the staff were still all super attentive. Breakfast as always was superb. The Italian lady chef cooked me an amazing fresh omelette with all the trimmings. Upon check out we was given a free late check out by Asian lady receptionist. All in all a great experience. I cant for wait for my return visit here with work on 15th January.

Hotel in general was very nice and the restaurant food was good. Drinks priced for London so ridiculously expensive. The room I stayed in had red stains all over the carpet and the room wasn't cleaned in my two day stay (something I found out after regards not cleaning the rooms unless requested due to COVID).

Room looked a bit out of time. Great that they have a room for disabled people, but for me this made the sink to low and after a shower the bathroom was wet everywhere. Also the gym was very disappointing, they did not even have a yoga mat. For the price, I would not come back. Breakfast was good and for a fair price.

We had a great stay at London Hilton Islington. We were greeted by friendly, welcoming and helpful staff throughout our stay. The hotel is very child friendly and our toddler even received a colouring book, which was a lovely touch. Location and parking facilities are excellent. Huge family room. Great value for money.

I booked this for me and my partner’s anniversary, the receptionist who I spoke to on the phone (forgot to ask her name) was very friendly and professional did an amazing job with the surprise and decorations in the room, was absolutely beautiful, Thank you. We want to also thank Queen and Drew for making us feel welcomed and their outstanding customer service in the time we stayed. Could not have asked for a better experience for our first time at the Hilton.

This excellent hotel is located at the Angel Islington next to the Business Design Centre about a 5 minute walk from the Angel tube station, and a 10 minute walk from Sadler’s Wells theatre. The newly refurbished hotel has beautifully appointed rooms well equipped with A/C, TV, tea & coffee facilities, with either bath or shower etc. Upon arrival I received a warm welcome at the check in. I had checked in online before my arrival. My room was beautifully prepared, and the little touches like the bath robe, slippers, luxury toiletries, and mineral water, make you feel very special. The executive lounge is open from 7am to 10pm for tea, coffee, snacks, and soft drinks, and from 6-8 p.m. for drinks and canapés. The breakfast is full buffet with something for everyone (the coffee is exceptionally good). A full Al La Carte menu is available in the restaurant for dinner, afternoon tea, etc. and is reasonably priced. Just to add the service provided by all the staff went above and beyond, and made me feel very much at home and appreciated as valued guest.

Recent stay was not pleasant. Initially, the receptionist seemed unfamiliar with the check-in process, causing some initial confusion. Our first night was challenging - the room was as cold as outside, making it difficult to sleep. Although the staff provided a small electric radiator, which was a nice gesture, it didn’t help much. Fortunately, we were moved to a more comfortable room the second night. However, there was a billing issue: despite pre-paying, we were double charged and our £500 deposit was not cancelled as expected. Not sure if or when I can get the refund back. I do not recommend this hotel. This place not only falls short of the Hilton brand standard but also suggests a lack of basic understanding in hotel management.

For those looking to stay active during their trip, the Hilton London Angel Islington features a well-equipped fitness center where guests can enjoy a workout session. The hotel also offers excellent business facilities, including meeting rooms and conference spaces, making it an ideal choice for business travelers.

Unbelievable. I checked into a room where the aircon made so much noise it was impossible to rest. When I informed the reception, I was informed they were fully booked and could not swap my room nor did they have anyone who could fix it as it was the weekend. I asked for a manager, who called later to inform me that "I have to work with her" and switch off the aircon on a London night when the temp was 2C. I told her that normally a conversation with a client begins by "we are sorry our product was not to standard, what can we do to fix it?" not demanding I "work" with her. She then asked me to wait as she tries to see what she can do and put me on hold but did not get back to me for 10 min. I hung up and waited for 45 min before I called back to see if anything transpired, only to get an annoyed voice and be asked "what did I want?". I was offered to change rooms the next day, no upgrade, no breakfast, no free drink, no sorry, not even a free water. Moreover she went on to tell me that frankly I was not justified in being disappointed. Bear in mind, I was not difficult or rude. When I began to unpack, I then also realised no one had even bothered to wipe the surfaces and the room was filthy.

Some staff not to friendly, close to everything. Rooms standard, dog friendly, dogs are extra. If taking your dog not many green places to walk your dog, some local parks do not even let dogs in. Some if allowed in are locked at certain times at night. Breakfast, no vegetarian sausages, for a Hilton breakfast was very basic. Staff at breakfast were a bit friendlier. Bonus was dog was allowed, some carpets were very dated, no bath in room, most Hilton Hotels have both. Plus in near everything, but parking extra, dog extra etc etc, it is London.

The room in general was spacious and all facilities were available. The bathroom sink was stylish but not the most well functioning. The shower when the temp is right is lovely but sometimes did run cooler for no reason. The reception staff were not the most friendliest and the restaurant managers were also quite cold but the waiters were all very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for us. Although getting cabs in and out of the hotel was a bit tricky especially when busy

The beds were very comfortable, the room and the hotel in general was very clean. Breakfast was lovely, the hotel had a great vibe. Brilliant location shops, bars, restaurants & tube all within walking distance. All of the staff were professional and friendly, in particular I must give compliments to Ashton, she went out of her way to be helpful, the customer service was 10 out of 10.

They have a total of 4 lvl. But plenty of rooms. Some of the service staff are friendly. Some are... Location is walking distance from the train station. There are many food nearby. Fast food, Thai food, Chinese food, supermarket and more. Overall the stay here was excellent Their bf was not too bad. But I can't afford to have it everyday.

Visited here to meet a colleague and had a working lunch. Very nice venue. Restaurant area was nice and clean and comfortable and the staff were pleasantband friendly. Loved the small sofas and chairs. We had a vegetarian curry and a chicken curry. The meal seemed quite a small portion for the price paid. However, it was tasty, served with rice and naan bread and it was quite filling.

Stayed at the Hilton for business travel and I would definitely go back again. The location is great with access to the bus and train station within a few minutes walk. The area is great for unwinding after a long day's work with many restaurants and bars around. The service team at the hotel is absolutely amazing, while I don't remember their names I have to say this was probably some of the best customer service I've experienced, keep up the good work guys 👍🏾.

This was my first time staying in this hotel, i am very amazed by the service from lakshmi who served me, she gave me a room upgrade as suprising as this was as I was a diamond member. Told me all the services this hotel had to offer and offered me above and beyond what i wanted including late checkout via permission from her manager. I was very suprised by this exceptional service and i have thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Location is good, it's close to public services and the breakfast is super delicious. I definitely reccomend to stay here.

A good standard of hotel, friendly staff and a central location for everything that I needed to attend. Hilton do provide good quality properties and have a great reputation. Everything was in line with my expectations.

The service is truly above and beyond. Vanessa, who I think is the day duty manager, is absolutely fantastic. I have a broken knee and she assisted with all my check in requirements. Rooms are clean and suitable for purpose - with sizeable TVs and good bathrooms. Highly recommended!

Great room and great amenities. Very short walk to the O2 Islington. Public underground parking available, which you receive a discount on for being a guest. Breakfast buffet in in the morning with the choice of having freshly cooked omelette if you preferred. Would definitely stay here again.

The location is great if you'd like to have some distance from city center but still be near great neighborhoods with lots to do. The breakfast, restaurant and bar offerings are wonderful. The fitness center is small but still has all of the basics needed for an efficient workout. The executive lounge came in handy as a place to do some quiet work, have a drink or even eat take-out dinner. Upon check-in the front desk employee failed to give me correct information based on my particular reservation which should have included free breakfast & access to the executive lounge. Another employee clarified this for me soon after. The evenings were a bit loud with younger people returning from a night out. On more than one evening we had said people bang on and kick our doors. Not cool. On more than one morning the housekeeping staff attempted to enter our room, without announcing themselves first, even though we had the Do Not Disturb signed clearly displayed.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The service was great, Yasmin went out of her way to help us with multiple requests which were really appreciated. Unfortunately whilst the facilities and room size were lovely, the rooms could have some extra cleaning. There were stains on walls and the sealant in the bathroom did not look great. Otherwise it is located close to Angel tube station making the rest of London easy to visit!

    - Old an small Room looks like 3.5 star. - Some Rude Front desk staffs, one of them didn't provide me a water even after my hotel booking said free water bottle included. - bathroom looked old . - charging sockets were horrible. It took lot of efforts to charge a mobile. - not worth as 4 star hotel for the amount they charge. - however Ana and Bajrang were great front desk officers.

Convenient location with effective separation from crowded, busy town center by large courtyard. Spacious dining area, great breakfasts, and the executive TV bar is a big add-on for comfort and convenience, with complimentary coffee, snacks and a long happy hour. We found this to be a great home base for a 12-day stay, assisting family moving into the area.

Had the best stay at the Angel Islington Hilton. We stayed for 5 nights and everyday someone came in and tidied our room which I thought was very kind. Very polite reception and bar staff :) Me and my sister will definitely visit again soon. We did have a broken plug on the bedside table but they sorted it whilst we were out for the day which again I thought was very polite of them. Thank you so much for our lovely visit.

Foyer and rooms as expected. Nice outside area to have drink and breakfast was nice. Parking is a problem, well for Hilton as we was told to pre-book, BDC upon leaving said this wasn’t correct. Had we just turned up and validated our ticket it would have saved £100 for 4 days!

Great location by a part of Islington that has a great buzz. Close to connections to all parts of London. Calm and comfy inside, with lovely bar/restaurant. Compared with other places I've recently stayed at I'd say this was expensive for what you got and the place does feel like it could do with a refresh. I'd certainly look at other options if back in this area as I'd not score so well on value for money. However, it was a pleasant and comfy stay.

We stayed for 6 nights and the room was only clean on the 1st day, even though we requested to be cleaned at least 3 times or 2 due to a long stay, clean was dirty when we arrived, full of dust. Reception ladies from morning and afternoon sometimes night were rude and not helpful at all, the only reason why I am giving 3 stars it’s because breakfast was amazing breakfast team (guys with the black uniform) they were really good , and also it was one guy in Reception the one who welcomed us the morning of the 15th, gave us a proper welcome mentioning the fact we are good members soon to be diamonds, exec lounge good some days really bad others . But the girls in reception made our stay really uncomfortable. So sorry didn’t want to ask for names .

Had an amazing time here. Yana at the restaurant was great. Very personable and welcoming. Delia at the front desk is helpful with a great laugh. Rooms modern and clean. The Asian lady housekeeper on our floor (2nd) was very helpful too. Gold member lounge was great. Angel wings for pictures a plus. God bless.

A lovely hotel in a great location. Our room was really nice, clean, nicely furnished and decorated with everything we needed. Also a good shower and very clean bathroom. I would give it 5 stars if it didn't charge £13 per day for wifi which I think is ridiculous!

Really exceptional hotel, the best hilton ive stayed at in london if im honest. Room was spacious (especially for london hotels) and both bedroom and bathroom were immaculate. We were there for the theatre and there were tube stops and enough ubers nearby to make it a nonstressful trip. Staff, from receptionists to the servers for breakfast were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful with all our requests. Executive lounge and restaurant area were clean and managed well during the new covid restrictions to. Cant fault anything with the hotel. The bed was comfy and breakfast was first class, what more can you ask for?

Great hotel with good access through the tube (walking distance) and buses (again, walking distance) to pretty much everywhere in London. Around 30 min walk to my point of interest in the City. Executive rooms are big, very comfortable beds and fantastic bed linen. Well, standard Hilton quality so amazing. Executive lounge is accessible 24/7 but happy hour is only between 6PM-8PM.

Stayed here as a family of four in early October 2022 and truly enjoyed our stay. Comfortable, clean and quiet. Staff was absolutely fantastic; polite and professional. Breakfast was wonderful and had plenty of options for all in the family. Hotel is wonderfully located away from the high traffic inner city in a great district for walking to restaurants, pubs and shopping. Easily accessible by bus and tube, and relatively close to St. Pancras International station (Eurostar trains to mainland). We highly recommend and will return.

We have recently spent a few days in London and stayed at the Hilton London Angel Islington and from a location perspective this was ideal for our needs. Parking for the Hotel is in the underground car park at the front of the Hotel adjacent to the business centre. Parking from Friday afternoon to Monday morning was discounted to £72.00. Back to the Hotel, check in was very welcoming and easy with very pleasant staff. Unfortunately when we got to our room it had not been cleaned nor prepared. I popped back to reception to explain and within a second the lady without me asking upgraded us to an executive suite which then had access to the executive lounge. In the executive lounge a full range of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks plus food was available for free. This was an amazing upgrade and gesture offered by the Hotel without fuss. Breakfast each morning was equally good in a bright, modern and pleasant restaurant. The views over the city from our room were fantastic and certainly added to the positive experience. All in all a very good experience at the Hilton and for what we had was also excellent value when compared to other options. We will without doubt return to the Hilton when next in Islington.

Perfect location for visiting the Business Design Centre and The skinny Kitchen as literally opposite! We watched a Prince tribute band and had a great night, talented band members! Hotel is clean and spacious, comfortable bar/lounge/restaurant area. Good selection of food on the menu and afternoon tea available. Car park underneath with steps leading to hotel entrance, £1 hour with hotel token.

My wife and I stayed at the Islington Hilton for 2 nights and were delighted with our stay. The hotel is in an exciting, vibrant neighbourhood but being tucked away in their own courtyard it is very quiet inside. The staff were outstanding, so friendly and helpful, all requests were dealt with immediately, they are a credit to the company and made our stay so easy. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet making for a relaxed stay and good night's sleep.

The staff are really nice and tend to make the difference, as is often case with Hilton hotels. Location IMO is brilliant. It’s in a trendy but real part of Upper St, loads of great restaurants and also Uber eats options. Antique shops to browse. The hotel is very clean but the rooms have taken a battering and there are some stains on carpets. Really comfortable bet, 4 star fittings. Breakfast is standard business hotel type stuff, but ok. Exec lounge and small but okay gym. Room rate was reasonable and as Hilton Honours member I felt valued.

When I think of Hilton, I think top tier. This Hilton was fine, but there were several areas of concern. My top concern was that the bed was very uncomfortable. It just wasn't a quality mattress at all. And while the common areas are all maintained very nicely and appear very clean, the carpet in our room and in the hallways badly needs replacing. Our carpet was very stained which made it feel dirty even if it really wasn't. Also, the mirror in the bathroom was delaminating and needed to be replaced, the shower didn't drain well and the drain cover was broken so that it would get easily knocked out of place. Also, the cleaning staff left our room window open with the air con running, which is just wasteful, and also became a problem on Friday night when the pubs closed nearby and loud patrons spilled out into the street. The noise woke me up and it took me awhile to figure out that the street noise infiltration into our room was only because they window was open. Once closed, I was able to go back to sleep.

Late night check-in great room noisy air conditioning fan motor return to reception another room found without issue, so great reception service Breakfast service slow and not fluid on people movement. Room size spacious, good bathrooms. Great location great shopping around hotel, direct parking (not with hotel) good tube stations nearby.

We stayed here for a friends wedding and were disappointed to find that when cancelled and rearranged (covid), we were charged an extra £50 per night but our friends weren’t. Reception gave no help at all, blaming junior receptionists. Rooms were light and airy but not the most comfortable beds for this level of cost, the TV didn’t work and the only option was to change rooms rather than someone sorting it. The breakfast was also pretty poor for this price point, more akin to a premier inn.

This is a fantastic Hilton location. The staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable (though not "huge") and the breakfast was very good. The location is excellent with many public transportation options around and enough restaurants/bars/pubs/shopping to satisfy anyone's needs. I cannot say enough how excellent my stay was. Islington is a very nice part of London and this hotel is in an excellent location.

Spent couple of nights here with kids, had a massive family room with cot and single bed for kids. Had access to the executive lounge which was great for snacks and water/juice for the kids. Breakfast was excellent, great selection. Had dinner here twice was very nice too. Great views. Bit noisy in the evenings due to the hotel's location and our windows open but didn't bother us. Close to tube station and lots of restaurants, bars and kids play areas. Highly recommended.

Very nice hotel. Breakfast was great. We loved that fact they we were in walking distance from the train station and lots of places to eat. The staff was amazing and very helpful. Would most definitely recommend staying here. I know we will, the next time we visit London.

The staff at the Angel Islington hotel are what makes the stay here so nice. Every single one of them are friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. They put balloons and cake in the rooms for birthdays, they check you in early if there is availability, they always listen. It’s an incredibly busy hotel next to the business centre but they always try their very best. It’s a great location, lots of restaurants and coffee shops, good tube and bus connections. My favourite place to stay! Thanks especially to Holly and Delia who always help with rooms and reservation requests.
