We stayed at Sunset Marquis for a week in early November. We were greeted by Chase who was so friendly and welcoming. He gave us a tour of the beautiful property. It was truly a wonderful stay. The staff who we requested of things attended to us with such promptness and diligence. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed, including a view of the pool. We had breakfast daily at the Cavatina which is so lovely overlooking all the greenery. We would stay here again without a doubt.

Unfortunately I can’t give 5 star to this hotel. It’s an amazing place and great location. Stuff is very friendly and service is amazing but I wish they limit the kids.. there are 2 pools in the hotel and I tried to use both of them but there were too many kids in both pools and the kids were just so wild.. I couldn’t just rest by the pool. I wish one of them was only adults pool and the other one was a family pool. Overall I am having a good stay. Just a minor issue I hope that they can figure out.

For a first time visitor, this stay could not have been more amazing! Everyone on the staff was so kind, friendly, and helpful. The decor was beautiful! From the rockstar portraits lining the walls to their hidden garden-like pathways, it was all enough to make you just stop and admire for a moment. The pool was a great benefit and the fine-dining restaurant delicious. But the cherry on top was the cozy robes in the room! I was very happy with my entire stay and will definitely be planning a return!

Had an absolutely lovely stay at the Sunset Marquis! I grew up around here but only just learned about the hotel and its history. I love that it's a quiet gem. It's right in the middle of Hollywood, walking distance from the strip, but you wouldn't know it because of how peaceful the grounds are. The staff were the friendliest folks, and I was even upgraded to a larger room, which was unexpected (I've never had one!) and so kind. I didn't see another soul on my floor during my stay, and had the best sleep I've had in a long time. The mattresses are amazing, and the rooms have really nice amenities. The landscape is immaculate and lush - if it wasn't so hot, I would have found a little nook to read and chill. I wish I had tried Cavatina earlier in my stay, as I would have eaten more meals there - brunch was delicious. And there are amazing restaurants nearby as well - Sunset Marquis is in a prime location. Would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone, and hope to come back soon. Didn't get the tour of the studios in during this stay, but maybe next time!

Incredible hospitality. Relaxed atmosphere with many cozy places to sit and chat with your party, or spend some quiet time alone. The hotel property is expansive, and private spaces were easy to find throughout the lobby, gardens, and fountains. The on-site restaurant was fabulous. Full bar, and fresh, delicious foods presented beautifully. Our suite was roomy with dining area, lounge, bedroom and balcony that's accessible from either the bedroom or lounge. I liked being able to have that perfect LA air come through the balcony doors whenever I wanted (and it was quiet). Very comfortable bed, roomy bedroom & appreciated the sliding door separating it from the lounge for privacy. Would 10/10 recommend.

The Sunset Marquis is a true gem in West Hollywood, and I can't recommend it highly enough. First and foremost, the spa is a haven of relaxation and rejuvenation. Every treatment I experienced was top-notch, and the skilled therapists left me feeling utterly pampered. As for the restaurant, it's a culinary delight. The dining experience at the Sunset Marquis is nothing short of exceptional. From the quality of the ingredients to the artful presentation of each dish, every meal was a gastronomic adventure. The Sunset Marquis effortlessly combines luxury, comfort, and impeccable service. It's a place where you can truly unwind and savor the finer things in life. Whether you're looking for a tranquil spa day or a gourmet dining experience, this hotel has it all. Five stars well-deserved!

A fantastic boutique hotel, that is full of charm and character. Great location - that is very private, wonderful staff (special shout-out to Logan and Chase) and beautiful rooms / villas. Give the big hotels a miss - you won't regret it. Thanks again Sunset Marquis - we'll definitely be back.

I stay in a lot of hotels all over the world and the Sunset Marquis has a special place in my heart. It’s quietly lux with beautiful grounds and an attentive & friendly but not overbearing staff. The service there is top notch and everyone is exceptionally helpful. I’ve stayed in every level of room and have never been disappointed. The beds are fabulous and the tubs in the Villas are to die for. The restaurant on site is lovely and the bars offer inventive cocktails in a relaxed setting. Sitting in the restaurant enjoying a cocktail and listening to the fountain that surrounds it is my LA happy place. I stay there just about monthly at this point and always try to book in when in LA. If you love hotels like The Ludlow or the Bowery Hotel in NYC this is your LA equivalent.

It would be hard for me to stay anywhere else once I've had the experience. I was upgraded to a Villa, #72. I'm spoiled now! -- I had been to a couple of events there and have had a couple of business dinners there over the past couple of years. I had the opportunity to finally stay there this time. Awesome -- Everyone. Logan. Noel. We were treated so well and when we checked in, from there forward, it was the best experience. I can't remember the lady that checked us in but her name started with a V and everyone was so kind and helpful.

The genuine friendliness and competence of the entire staff was evident. I travel extensively but this property is special beyond! --I have already told others that this is really the only place to stay in LA. Seriously -- Chase and the whole front desk staff were exceptional! Concierge desk was exceptional!! Location is excellent

We just stayed for a second time with another trip booked in a couple months. The staff at the hotel and the restaurant have always been super helpful and friendly. The grounds are so beautiful and it is just a nice retreat from the busy city vibe surrounding the hotel. It has always been quiet and relaxing in our room during our stay. Rarely do I find myself booking the same hotel as I like to experience different places, but this is the exception. We will continue to come back to this little paradise.

I’ve stayed there a few times, and each time is better than the last. The staff truly go out of their way to make you feel valued. Customer satisfaction is clearly at the top of every employee’s list, and it shows. Til next time!

I love your hotel! The beauty, the vibe, the location, the staff. The rooms could use a refresh/re-model! Cabinets are worn down. The bathrooms could use re-modeling as well. A bit dated. The beds and sheets and comforters are super comfortable. Thank you!

We had the best stay at the Sunset Marquis - from the friendly valet to the helpful front desk staff, we were able to check in quickly and relax in the huge room they provided after spending the day traveling. The bed was unbelievably comfy, the room service was spot on and they even had cute little touches of character in the form of rock-n-roll art throughout the hotel. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxed but luxurious hotel in this part of town. Thank you, Sunset Marquis team - can't wait to see you all again!

This is the best kept secret in LA. If you are looking for an experience instead of just a place to lay your head please stay here - you will not be disappointed. Honestly all of the staff at the SM are amazing. A couple that come to mind are Preston, who helped us with our luggage on arrival and departure and Simone who was my server in the restaurant on a few occasions. In short, the staff at the Sunset Marquis ROCKS (no pun intended).

You are one of our top 3-5 favorite hotels in the world. A little bastion of calm in the midst of bustling LA. -- We have been coming for years but with the pandemic, less so. Can't wait to have an excuse to come visit again! -- I think his name was Jerry who walked to our room and we interacted with on many occasions coming and going from the hotel. He is an incredible ambassador for the hotel and have enjoyed his presence every visit I have come.

Honestly this had to be one of the BEST hotel experiences I have ever had (and I've stayed in a few Presidential Suites). We were given an upgrade from a suite to a villa and WOW. The villas are truly incredible. The design is great, and the finishing touches were impeccable. I couldn't stay in another room type knowing those were out there. We will be back! -- Online searches for properties in the area -- It's hard to single out, as the entire staff was top notch, but the valet staff were amazing. So friendly, and the car was always waiting for us when called. While our rental car couldn't keep up with the Bentleys and the Rolls Royces we saw, we were still treated as if we were important guests.

I took two friends to this magical restaurant Cavatina. You feel like you are in the tropics! No sign of the big city surrounding. Having been recently introduced to this gem by friends, I am positive I will be there often!!

This place was recommended. Curb appeal was zero so 1st impressions were meh but as soon as you meet the doormen and front desk, it was amazing. Very welcoming and caring. Suite was dated but still very nice and well appointed though no usb plug and room looking straight into residences so balcony was not an option. Toiletries, bedding, robes, slippers etc, excellent. Everything was clean and sanitized. Pool was nice. Low key and very quiet. Majority seemed to be mature patrons so luckily, there was no partying or loud noises. Major plus was restaurant in the beautiful plush gardens. Room service and eat in was amazing. Will be back!

What a tranquil oasis, right by the busy Sunset Strip. The night blooming Jasmine was so lovely and magical. The valet staff as a team overall were so helpful, friendly, patient, and kind.

The staff is amazing. The hotel is pretty and the grounds are beautiful. Our first Room 107 was amazing, beautiful bathroom and fantastic shower pressure. We were moved our last night due to flooding by the sliding door. ( Crazy rain, and flash flooding in the area). Room 212 was a little disappointing after being in such a great room. The fan was terribly loud, the shower head trickled water, and when we arrived to the room some of the snack bar was already missing items. Room 107 was way better & we loved the bathroom. The room service was fast and amazing. The room service has some of the best chocolate chip cookies we have ever had, I wish I could order them to my home. Overall good stay! -- Google search. -- The front desk staff every night were amazing!

Cute hotel nestled where West Hollywood climbs up to the Hills. The neighborhood is great, but the steep hill this hotel sits on is tough for walkers. Rooms here are fine, but did not make a strong impression on me either positively or negatively. Just nothing to complain about. I did like that many rooms have separate bed and living areas. The lobby bar is a well-known celebrity watering hole.

So happy to be back after a 5 year break while living in LA, NYC and Mpls through the pandemic. Felt immediately welcomed home. -- Target Broadcast production 25yrs ago. Really enjoyed this place, very friendly relaxed atmosphere. All the men on the front desk were super helpful and friendly. Ladies not so much so, that was the only tiny negative

Logan was above and beyond, making our trip that much more memorable. We will be back because of him, however everyone was so pleasant and helpful and it didn't feel like a stuffy uptight hotel. Close to everything around Hollywood and Beverly Hills.

The staff was amazing. The valet team in particular went above and beyond every day. The ambience of the hotel was exactly what we were looking for with our stay in West Hollywood. Walking distance to The Strip but conveniently tucked away.

Sunset marquis, 1200 Alta Loma Rd, West Hollywood, CA 90069, United States. I want to call it a pearl in the city. Out experience started with the most friendly valet parking service in the entire USA 🇺🇸. Helpful and quick g us to the check in desk. Where we were welcomed by a full smiling beautiful young lady who explained us the hotel and possibilities. One of the bell boys joined us with our luggage and gave more additional information. The room we had was spacious and on the silent side facing the inner garden. When your in front of the building you have no idea what beautiful garden is behind the first walls. We tried to share some photos and uploaded some videos to share. This is by far a beautiful place and we loved all services. Food from the restaurant is by the way delicious. Breakfast and dinner are not cheap but the taste is amazing and worth every dollar.

If I could give 10 stars I would. Logan, Chase, and Robert all were top notch and O have never experienced friendlier service. They make you feel like family and are happy and knowledgeable regarding the history of the hotel. I usually stay at the Ritz Carlton in Marina Del Rey and its fantastic, but this place is really special. Tip: buy the book "If these walls could Rock" from the concierge and read up and keep it as a souvenir. A+ all around

We had an amazing stay! The hotel is an oasis in the city - with the pools and the garden - but we also were able to enjoy the bar and restaurant. We held a dinner event for about 30 people one evening at Cavatina which was fabulous - the event staff put everything together so it all was seamless and the food was delicious - easily able to accommodate everyone's dietary needs as well. Most of the people we met had been coming there for years - and we now want to count ourselves in that group too!

Absolutely perfect stay! Was there this past Memorial day weekend. Reserved junior suite and was upgraded to King suite. Sweet! (Get it? :p) Room was amazing. Huge, clean, super quiet. They had every amenity in the room- lots of towels, extra pillows, water, toiletries, coffee, etc. They also cleaned room every day. This was the closest experience to what we had before covid! Also loved the grounds of this hotel. It's huge, very lush and green. We ate at Cavatina for Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Wonderful! Location is super awesome. It's quiet residential street but very close to all the action in West Hollywood. Staff were all super nice and helpful. We will definitely stay here again when we're back in LA.

Gardens breathtaking. Renovations right on point. The "vibe" is still perfect. Villas could use one or two more trash cans. Weekend breakfast service at Cavatina was a bit of a cluster-- hostesses should be cross trained to assist wait staff when they are in the weeds. But everything else was lovely as usual! Thank you. We will be back!

We had a fantastic stay at the Sunset Marquis in April. We had a great room right by the pool, and the food and drinks were excellent. With all that said, the staff at the Sunset truly made our stay wonderful. Jesse and Logan went above and beyond to make our trip enjoyable, and the wait staff, bartenders, concierge staff, and housekeeping all did a great job. I need to find another reason to plan another trip soon.

What a beautiful little gem tucked away right in the middle of everything, this is a gorgeous hotel and it’s so quiet given its location that is amazing. The gardens are stunning the rooms are great we had a beautiful suite with access to the pool. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, check in was a breeze, our first visit from australia to LA and we stayed in this beautiful hotel highly recommend

Lovely hotel in a great location in West Hollywood. The hotel has a Rock N Roll theme to it with a great history. The rooms were lovely, the beds were super comfy and the staff were also very helpful and friendly. Definitely worth a visit!

My first time staying at the historic Sunset Marquis and, as a fan of music, I was excited to explore this legendary hotel. It does not disappoint! From the minute you walk into the Sunset Marquis, the staff is extremely friendly, the rooms are comfortable, the food is excellent and the grounds are beautiful. I not only enjoyed staying at the hotel, but walking around the hotel and seeing the history was a highlight of my trip to LA. I will definitely be back!

I stayed at the Sunset Marquis because of the Shine Global Awards and the hotel rapidly became my favorite place I have stayed in LA. The staff was excellent, attentive, and the atmosphere at the restaurant, bar, and lobby filled with rock ‘n’ roll photographs was both relaxed and elegant. I couldn’t ask for a better location, and though it’s close to Sunset Boulevard, the grounds feel intimate, quiet, and a relief from the intensity of the film or music industry. I also highly recommend visiting the photography gallery in the hotel, which feels like it’s own museum. Highly recommend for all travelers onstage or off.

Nothing, everything was fantastic. -- I had stayed there a few times years ago for work but my wife had never been there. She found you guys through google and brought it to my attention. -- Nicole was incredible. It was our anniversary and she made us feel incredibly welcome and appreciated at every turn. I really can't say enough good things about her.

Had a great stay here for over a week. Well kept rooms and good upkeep of hotel. Bar and restaurant high quality with an expected higher price point for the convenience. Staff were excellent across the board and very helpful and attentive. Small disaster with my initial room that flooded, which staff sorted immediately. Excellent location to bars and restaurants on Santa Monica Boulevard and Sunset. Great pool and sun loungers for guests. Missed out on room being serviced on one day of my stay, unsure why, but didn't detract from the great stay. Would definitely stay here again.

You have an exceptional property as well as staff. Walking through the beautifully landscaped grounds was a visual delight! -- I happened to locate you via the internet, as I was searching for a hotel near a doctors’ office where I had an appointment. We lucked out! -- All the staff were friendly and welcoming. Logan gave us a warm welcome and great introduction to the features of our suite, plus interesting history of the hotel. He always greeted us warmly when our paths crossed on the grounds of the hotel. Angel served us dinner in the restaurant (which was excellent as was our breakfast and room service) was warm and welcoming and provided exceptional service.
