Definitely one of the best Toby carveries in the country,the staff work hard to ensure you have the best possible eating experience, even when full to capacity they power on to provide every single customer the very best service!

We were shown to our table immediately, the serving queue was not long at all, everyone was very polite and helpful. and, as always, the food was superb. The only suggestion I would make would be to have heat resistant handles on the serving spoons as, particularly those at the back, can become very hot to handle. Otherwise fabulous!

The best carvery that we have been into!! It was very busy and the ladies that were working there were rushed off their feet but still polite and very apologetic. The food was cooked perfectly with lovely crunchy roast potatoes, tasty veg and the beef was soft, not tough at all. We were so glad to find this wonderful eating place and recommend it to everyone. We went back for a second night and also for breakfast which was just as enjoyable. Thank you to all the lovely staff that made it so good.

Out of nowhere we decided to go to Toby Carvery today, me 8 members of my family had an amazing experience here the food was delicious the staff was amazing nothing was too much trouble for them. They accommodated us really really pleasantly Thanking you all 🙏🏻

There was 11 of us we asked to sit near or next to each other but we was seated very far away from each other that's understanding. We was sitting for around 10 minutes waiting for someone to come. We went up and got food I went back to my table there was no cutlery but all the other tables had cutlery. When someone came up to our table and said to us no one told me you was here after 30 minutes of waiting and we ordered drinks they took 20 minutes to arrive we looked at the table next to it took 2 hours for there desert. The waiter was very nice tho.

Have been to a few Toby Carveries and enjoyed the roast dinners. However we visited Poole 2 weeks ago and experienced the worst roast we have ever had. Very small portions of roast beef, I can't call them slices more shavings and bits, the vegetables were dried up and the carrots hard and undercooked, the cauliflower cheese was overcooked, mushy and bland with no cheese flavour. The staff were pleasant and polite, parking good. I would not recommend this Toby and will never return

Absolutely awful. Went in to be told I cannot use my 50 percent code and that I would have to pay full price on a takeaway. They guy was unhelpful and told me to do a click and collect and i would have to hang around 40 minutes for this. Has scanned my code and now it's invalid but still have no lunch. Appalling customer service.

All good, I hope you continue to have parsnips on the menu. The standard of the beef has improved and hopefully it won't slip back again. The same goes for the roasties, although still the worst I have seen in any toby they have improved slightly.

Servers were amazing, the girl who was serving meat was welcoming and friendly but I received nothing but fat and gristle on my plate. I didn't eat any of the meat at all after paying for king-size to get more meat.

Everything was lovely you were experiencing electrical kitchen problems but this didn't deter a very enjoyable festive lunch. Put waitress Claire was excellent keeping us informed if there was a delay. She was on a 12 hour shift but very cheerful bubbly and made us laugh an first rate team member

The service we received was very poor, the server didn’t seem to know the menu and we received the wrong drinks, then the wrong puddings, pigs in blankets never arrived and we were constantly waiting to get a server to come back with the correct items. We asked one waiter for help (Aaron) and he told us to wait for “our waitress” to come back. The server brought over our bill without us asking for it and then she didn’t know how to use the card machine. We didn’t receive any form of apology and there was a lot of staff stood chatting and not doing anything whilst there was dirty tables and toilets. The waitress/server we had didn’t have a name tag but it said “Chaynel” on the receipt.

Yorkshire puddings are dry, tasteless and oily, the stuffing is dry and tasteless. The cuts of meat are way too small. The rest is fine. Good sauce options and gravy. Very very slow while queuing. One guy cutting the meat really slowly and the odd kitchen staff bringing 4 plates out at a time, 3 times while i was in the queue. Table service is excellent, helpful and attentive. Toby Caverys use to be great and popular and generous with their meat portions. Also why are the extras not separate from the meat queue? It actually put me off wanting to go back for more!

Firstly it’s a very nice building and grounds, all of which are clean and tidy. Upon entering the establishment you are greeted by the friendly staff, warmth and the wonderful homely smell of a roast! Everything was clean and tidy. Our waitress was very professional and as it was quiet was able to take the time to have a little conversation rather than just hide away from the customers. Easy to book on line. Food was plentiful, hot and very nice. Price for two people with one refillable drink and two desserts was very reasonable, which is very appropriate in today’s economic climate. Staff were cheerful and polite. Seating area was clean and tidy - would definitely visit again.

Unfortunately I had to complain due to the very poor service from our server, we sat for an hour and was at NO point spoken to by our waitress who blatantly ignored our presence. We had to pay at the bar due to her taking no notice of when we finished our meal. We overheard her speaking to others and her manner was rude and dismissive to other customers. The food was dry and cold from the carvery with a poor selection and with a severe lack of acknowledgement from staff was unable to comment. I spoke to the duty manager who was dismissive and offered a poor apology with a comment that the server was having a ‘bad day’ As a paying customer her bad day is not of my concern when I wanted to enjoy a nice meal with family Very disappointing !

this was my first time going to toby carvery and me and my girlfriend felt so welcome. we had a lovely server, we didn’t catch her name unfortunately but she had short red hair and a purse that said dream big or something similar. she made sure we had everything we needed and even gave us a takeaway box so we were able to take our leftovers home for our dog. she also made us feel very welcome as a lesbian couple. thank you!

Can’t fault Toby Carvery Poole, came in here for a work dinner and drink. Was seated at the table for our booking time without problems, service was great and there was no delay. Quality of food was fantastic. Staff provided service with a smile and a friendly attitude which always goes a long way and creates a great atmosphere.

Booked a table for 7pm Thursday, had to queue to get booked in, waited about 10 minutes,as it was very busy, table not ready. Went into the ar area, waited again to be served for drinks, only 1 member of staff working the bar. Finally got seated. Waitress was very helpful. Queued again about 15 minutes, again only 1 member of staff serving and didn't seem very happy. When we finally sat to eat, it was very good and hot.

Good meal as usual, as it was 50% off it was extremely busy. There was not enough bar staff or waiting staff, so my table booked for 6:30pm was not ready until 6:50pm, by the time I queued and got my food it was 7:15pm. The front of house waitress was amazing! Through the whole evening she kept a smile on her face, supported all the staff when she had people moaning at her for late tables, moaning by walk ins who could not get a table or would have to wait for over an hour to get a table . If Toby runs promotional like 50% off, make sure there is enough staff

Delicious food, service from our waitress was first class, didn't get her name but her make up was amazing! She is a brilliant waitress, very attentive. Surroundings looked clean & tidy. We will be back again..

Had my first Christmas Dinner of the season from the carvery last night and it was top notch, tasty, hot and plenty of it, served by a pleasant young man. The girls assigned to our party of 25 were so pleasant and couldn't do enough to ensure we all had a lovely time, special shout out to Chloe who made sure she found me a very nice wine when she realised they didn't have my usual. It was our first time at this Toby Carvery and we will definitely be returning and will be recommending to friends and family as they live very locally. Not local to me but well worth the drive. Thanks again for making our Christmas gathering so amazing.

I come in once a month for dinner and I am always happy with the service. I was last in on Sunday and despite how busy it was you walk in and know that everything is under control. The young man on the host, Mike I believe his name is, was very polite and helpful despite me being awkward and asking to move tables - a great ambassador for Toby Carvery. I was served by a young girl with dark hair, Rachael I think - she was very helpful, polite and smiley! I hope when next I come in that she is our waitress again as I fear the bar has been set to its peak! A++ I will definitely be returning again, regularly.

The staff were friendly and I was shown to my table. The drinks arrived and I went to the carvery area. As i was the only one I was served very quickly and the turkey looked wonderful. The vegetables were fresh and lovely (except for the brussel sprouts which I think were frozen and did not enjoy) and the whole meal was delicious. I will definitely be recommending to friends and family.

I'd recommend Poole Toby but would not recommend going on a Sunday. The line for the carvery was so long because of the sheer amount of takeaways. There was a group of ladies getting their own takeaway and they took so much food we then had to wait again for it to be filled. The poor staff did their best but it was too full, too squashed, to hectic. Not a relaxing meal out what so ever.

It was very busy but then it was the Thursday after a bank holiday and the kids were off school. That said, there was one quite slow person on the carvery which lead to a long queue and slow delivery. The Yorkshire puddings were flat and swimming in oil, they looked bad. The plates looked like they had seen better days. On the good side, the staff were friendly, the food I had was good and you can't complain about the value for money. It's a large venue with a decent size carpark, just avoid the busy times.

Disappointed with the meal. Meat was good but veg very poor especially roast potatoes and yorkshire puddings. The pudding was OK. Definitely not as good as the last time I was there a few years ago. Also the toilet facilities were very poor. The ladies door did not shut, the men's were blocked and the alternative toilets were locked.

Nothing beats a Toby roast, selection of meats and roasted vegetables, now with the added bonus of mac n cheese, staff are all friendly, and meat portions are plentiful. The veg is help yourself so can have as many or as little greens are you want. Definitely need to book for Sundays, however other days you could try walking up and hope to get a table, however that's never guaranteed, especially around meal times between 11:30am to 2pm and 4:30pm and 7pm.

Generally good but I was concerned to observe that there were a lot of flies above the serving area. Investment in a zapper would be beneficial. When carving the beef the string should be removed from the serving platter, we had a piece served on our meal, not good. The tables are very sticky and would benefit from a better wipedown.

This is the best toby carvery I've been too and since it's been reworked and reopened it's even better. Service is fast and the food is cheap and great quality. Nice seating and vibe, although it gets pretty slow and dirty in the late evenings. Apart from that definitely recommend.

Welcomed by the 2 best staff there. Ian and Jane (Willy) were very welcoming and kind as any staff member should be, but these guys were just brilliant. This was my first time at a Toby Carvery and the whole experience was great. The food was good the service was excellent and the bill was a lot less then I thought I was going to be. I will definitely be going back soon and I hope my experience is as good as it was today.
