The best part of the meal was the chips and house made salsa. Otherwise the food is horrible. NOT AUTHENTIC MEXICAN cuisine. Hospital cafeteria food has more flavor. We will never come here again and do not recommend this place!

Very fun place, easy to order food, house made tortilla chips and get the jalapeno ranch dip which is awesome. Good food, very friendly staff. Great place for the entire family.

My very first time trying Chuy’s heard good reviews from family. It’s so unique and fit my artistic mood. Entrance have all types of cameras on the walls. Arts and old fashioned photos adorned the walls and entryway. Such a fabulous decor. Food was very delicious and of course dessert as well. Location in plaza and parking I found in garage. As I couldn’t find on the street. Everyone was masked up and restaurant looks cleaned and service was pretty good.

Popular chain with some kind of "Mexican food" but not the best. We didn't have to wait too long. That was good, we were sitting down by the manager, I think the waiter was good but he was busy, food was ok, nothing really special, I had to ask for napkins and dishes to share the queso. I don't understand why if you are in a big table with more than 2 people, you need small dishes to share the appetizers. I asked for a taco salad, but they didn't have the dressing, so I had to change my dinner plans since there were not many salad dressing options. The waiter was very nice trying to help me find an option, but I just switched dishes. Margaritas were good. A little bit too sweet for my taste.

Really enjoyed Chuys. It was a fun and colorful restaurant. There’s so much to look at while you wait. The menu has typical Tex-Mex dishes. Our meal was really tasty. The drinks were good. The food didn’t take long to come out and our waitress was very attentive. They have a balcony you can sit outside and eat that has nice views of Kansas City.

Every single staff member was friendly and in a great mood. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious. The music and ambiance was great too!

The Elvis Memorial Platter was a fantastic meal and the creamy jalopeno dip for their chips is my favorite!!! Tons of other good things on the menu, highly recommended place, and lots of fun for everyone!

I've had better Tex Mex

Better than expected, but I won't be back. One of those chains that tries so hard to be "fun" that it feels manufactured. (The dog wall was the best of the decor.) Boom-boom chicken was good: ++ quality of chicken, cheese, tortillas, and sauce. Excellent beans. Good Mex Cobb Salad. Just too corporate for my taste. Had it been in a strip mall, I would probably have raved about the food. Decent prices and service. Just...

Food was good, but not good enough to offset the bad service. Drinks arrived with dinner, my kids dinner was wrong, and it all was compounded by the fact that the m waiter ignored our table the entire time. With torchys, ponaks, el pollo rey, and other great Mexican restaurants in the area, i will be very reluctant to bring my business back.

I'll say upfront that this a chain that I love, but this location has gone way down hill over the last few months. The service we had tonight horrible, and the food lacked flavor. Probably won't return for a while, and choose a closer texmex option.

I’ve been to a few other Chuy’s in different states and this one is by far my favorite!! They have the best Tex-Mex food and such funny and kind workers! The restaurant is bigger than expected and has so much to look at, and they have balcony seating as well!

I have always liked this place but there is always chaotic incorrect orders when I come here. One case, I ordered delivery last week for my family coming all the way from out of state to watch the game. We got the fajita platter and added On’s spending over $120. No tortillas for fajitas or any of the add On’s.... I called and was promised a refund on the items that did not come and that was never done. Would have loved better service and product for spending so much money but instead remain embarrassed for ordering from a restaurant that I talked to highly of to the visiting guests.

Loved the chips and salsa, fajitas were ok, service was friendly, but forgetful. The couple we were with said it's normally better food and service, so maybe was just an off night.

It is a shame that it has taken me so long to patronize this restaurant. I ordered the combination fajitas, steak, 🐔, and 🍤. My meal was quite delicious. It wS served fresh and 🔥. In fact it was still sizzling when my sever brought it to my table. The steak was well done but moist. The shrimp were plump and juicy. The chicken 🐔 had a distinctly delicious grilled flavor! The meal was served with guacamole, sour cream, cheese, lettuce, and sals on a separate platter. The artwork was colorful and eye catching. This establishment serving Mexican fare at its finest, is conveniently located at the East end of the #CountryClubPlaza

The food here is awesome and the service is right there, too! They have best dips for the tortilla chips: Creamy jalapeño for a nice cool, spicy combo. Or the boom boom queso with ground beef added for a nice warm appetizer dip. My go to are the enchiladas. Sooo good. And the servers have always been 100% the best on KC. Watch the covered parking nearby… our friends had their luggage stolen 🤷🏻‍♂️

Great atmosphere and staff. The food was really good. Be sure to ask for the Creamy Jalapeno Dip. It's not on the menu; you have to ask for it.

What a fun place!! The Manager helped with parking so my friend's 97 year old mom could be close to the front door. Nico, our Server, was great! She hit all the points of service: prompt warm greet, great menu tour, check back and excellent prebusing. On top of all that the food was tasty! I enjoyed the Taco/Enchilada combo with rice and beans. NOTHING LEFT TO TAKE HOME!! DELICIOUS!! THANKS NICO, and your Manager, FOR MAKING OUR HOLIDAY LUNCH SO MUCH FUN!!

We order to go, and have been for the past several months. Chuy's is 20 miles from my home, and the food is still hot when we get home. Their packaging is very good, and the food tastes wonderful.

Great Texmex food

Seated quickly, staff was pretty friendly and the chips n' salsa tasty. We didnt have much time for that though as the food was out just as fast. Its pretty good! Huge portions for a good price. Almost felt rushed though I am sure it wasn't on purpose. We had a good time, so it was pretty alright.

Super friendly staff very clean and inviting atmosphere. LaRhonda delivered our takeout order. However her energy and attitude was so delightful we decided to come in and have a drink. Johnny the bartender did not disappoint! After a day of shopping and fighting the holiday crowds this is just what we needed!!

Best go to restaurant. Decided to have a girls brunch on Saturday. The server Nehemiah was awesome he was very knowledgeable about the menu and even provide a example of a margarita that they had at the restaurant. The order consisted of chips salsa queso chicken quesadilla with shrimp and grilled chicken with beans and rice. Can’t wait to go back food was hot and flavorful customer service was beyond impeccable and great atmosphere!

This Chuy’s has always lived up to my high expectations for texmex. The food is always consistent in quality and taste and the wait staff are attentive and quick to respond. It seems this restaurant is well managed and hires good people. It’s a great place for a fun experience, to watch a sports game in the bar area or just to grab some delicious casual Mexican food. Highly recommend the chicken quesadilla appetizer as it’s loaded with chicken and cheese. And to top it off, the large size space is great to allow for plenty of spacing between guests during the health crisis this year. 10/10 rating

The blackberry swirl margarita is amazing. And really quality Mexican food. For instance they have a jalapeño ranch dressing that you you can get as a side. Great for dipping. Remember there’s a lot of different styles of Mexican food though so this may not be to your taste.

Our server Glenn was very energetic and accommodating! The food and drink were pretty standard for a Mexican restaurant with the exception of the dips - the queso was amazing, and the pico was super fresh!

I would have given Chuy's four stars for the food but there was a piece of metal wire in one of my dips! I would usually throw a fit and send all the food back and leave... However everything was so delicious I simply discarded the metal wire and continued to eat🐷. Excellent service and very friendly people!

Absolutely love Chuy’s!! This place has been a longtime favorite for my friends and I. The creamy jalapeño salsa is incredible. Great burrito with 9 different signature sauces to choose from. The vibe inside is very unique and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Highly recommend trying this place out!

We love Chuy’s, we visit Chuy’s every chance we get. It is by far the best Tex-Mex restaurant we have ever been to. We’ve also been to the original Chuy‘s in Austin Texas but they are all good.

Food was great and servings were large. This was well worth the visit. Add the seasoned beef to the queso, you won't be disappointed. The steak was delicious and well seasoned. They have a variety of sauces sure to please. Overall recommend to anyone traveling through to give them a try.

Server wasn't knowledgeable about any of the drinks on the menu, and if u CANNOT TOLERATE SPICY, I SUGGEST NOT ATTEMPTING TO EAT THE SALSA! IT IS EXTREMELY SPICY! Too spicy for an appetizer to be brought out for a meal. But food was good. The ranch dip is a must to have with the salsa to help tame it down.

This place is amazing! First time here and I love that their salsa is cut fresh and spicy! I can taste the jalapeño! I got their chicken burrito with the green hatch sauce and IT WAS AMAZING! I will definitely be back! Best tex mex in the plaza!

This restaurant is a hidden gem at the Country Club Plaza. Of all the expensive and bougie restaurants there, none of them are as satisfying as Chuy's. The food is texmex style, not too spicy, and amazingly delicious. The portions are phenomenal, so you will not leave hungry. The service is great, from the time we walked in until the time we paid the check. We went on a Friday night around dinner time. Originally we wanted to go to a different restaurant that is overpriced and mediocre food, but they were packed with about 50 people waiting to be seated. We found Chuy's hidden away far from the main streets of the plaza, and decided to try them out. We couldn't have been happier for making that choice. Yes, there was a wait, but only for about 15 minutes, as there was maybe 3 parties ahead of us. I still can't believe how inexpensive the meals are, and the portions are huge.Thank you Chuy's for saving us that night. You are now my go to restaurant when I'm at the plaza.

I was traveling from out of town and this place was right by my hotel so I decided to stop on in. Our waiter was fantastic and so friendly, when you came in as hungry as we did it’s always nice when they bring out the chips and salsa right away ha ha and I really enjoyed the food! I do wish they had a few more flavors of margarita besides regular and strawberry but the margarita was still really good! I really love the fact that, who I am assuming, was the owner even stop by our table to ask how the food was as well as the service. It’s really nice to see business is being able to still run and be managed well Especially during a global pandemic. Such a fun atmosphere too! There is so much going on that it just feels like a fun place to be. The one thing I am thoroughly disappointed with is the fact that I did forget my leftovers at my table so I was unable to enjoy them ha ha

Amazing food as always at Chuys! Chuys is an amazing Tex-Mex restaurant with amazing waiters and fast service. The food here is always good. They are following all Covid-19 regulations and are now offering carry out and pick up ordering. Anything you order here is huge! Make sure you order the creamy jalapeno sauce (it's free) to dip your chips in. Overall amazing restaurant and will, as always, be back.

The food was made from scratch and was pretty good. What made me grant the 5 star on this place was the fantastic service. From the first guy i met when I walked in he made me feel welcome. I mentioned it was my first time there so he gave me a brief tour and made sure the bartender knew it was my first time there. The bartender Yanni? or something to that effect was outstanding and very attentive. I had the combo fajitas which was overall pretty decent. They certainly aren't the best in the world but the service was. Definitely check it out.

The food was good, the margarita was ok, our waiter was Excellent. His knowledge and service was totally on point. I will return just to sit in his section. Thanks Nehemiah we will be back.

Service was great. Food was good. My only complaint was I ordered a fajita burrito all it had was steak and beans. I was expecting all the same fixings of normal fajitas just wrapped up in a shell. It was still good.

Fast, fresh, and convenient TexMex right on the Plaza. I prefer to order takeout or sit at the bar. However you decide to eat it, Chuy's is delicious!

I love their food. Creamy jalapeño is out of this world! Their salsa is homemade and best in town. I wish they sold it at the Grocery store. I was so sad when the one in Olathe closed. But I drive all the way to the plaza a couple times a month to get to go.

One of my favorite places to stop by at the plaza. Good food, fresh salsa, constant flow of chips, and friendly staff. I've never had a bad experience here and have come many times. The wait times can get long at times, but stop and have a drink at the bar and that time melts away. Love bringing friends and family alike here!
