We
have
been
visiting
“El
Virrey
Hotel
Boutique”
in
Honda,
Tolima
since
2016
(2021).
The
staff
has
changed
since
but
the
treatment
by
the
new
staff
has
been
outstanding.
We
always
ask
for
a
room
on
the
bottom
floor
to
have
direct
access
to
the
pool
by
our
kids
but
have
also
stayed
on
the
second
floor
at
times
of
high
occupancy.
The
rooms:
Are
comfortable.
there
is
a
40”
Tv
available
and
cable
but
all
of
the
channels
are
in
Spanish.
The
beds
are
comfortable
and
some
of
the
rooms
have
bunk
beds
available.
There
is
air
conditioning
in
the
rooms
and
it
works
well.
There
are
small
refrigerators
in
the
rooms.
There
are
safes
available
in
the
rooms
to
secure
your
valuables.
There
are
no
tables
available
inside
the
rooms.
The
bathroom:
There
is
hot
water
to
shower
but
in
our
room
(103)
the
connection
are
inverted.
The
hot
water
comes
out
real
hot
for
a
while,
then
it
turns
cold.
You
have
to
turn
off
the
water
and
then
reopen
it
to
get
hot
water
again.
The
sink
in
the
bathroom
kept
leaking
water
on
the
floor.
The
Parking
Space:
There
is
a
secure
indoor
parking
but
it's
very
limited,
especially
during
high
season.
The
hotel
does
not
count
with
sufficient
parking
spaces
for
the
amount
of
rooms.
It
can
only
accommodate
about
8
cars
and
in
the
morning
if
people
are
leaving
early
you
may
be
called
to
move
your
vehicle
to
allow
others
to
get
out.
The
pool:
There
are
three
pools.
Two
round
pools
for
small
children
and
one
for
adults.
The
pool
is
clean
and
the
water
is
always
kept
clean.
The
hotel
is
away
from
the
center
of
town
but
not
out
of
the
city
limits
and
offers
tranquility
and
is
free
from
the
city's
noise.
The
staff:
is
great
and
eager
to
help
with
whatever
is
needed
by
the
guess.
The
lady
that
was
in
charge
of
the
kitchen
and
room
cleaning
(Rocio)
was
great,
so
are
Maritza,
Sandra,
and
Sandra’s
Daughter.
The
Dining
Area:
During
the
time
of
the
pandemic,
the
available
dining
area
was
accommodated
to
maintain
separation
by
installing
partitions
with
wood
and
glass.
Breakfast
is
offered
included
in
the
price.
Overall,
the
installation
is
kept
clean
and
tidy.
RECOMMENDATIONS
TO
THE
OWNERS:
More
maintenance
in
the
rooms
should
be
implemented
and
cleanliness,
specifically
in
the
bathroom
areas.
Staff
should
be
trained
in
proper
cleaning
techniques
and
proper
maintenance
procedures.
Supervisors
should
conduct
a
daily
inspection
of
10%
of
total
rooms
to
identify
maintenance
and
cleanliness
problems.
Staff
should
inform
guess
to
remove
all
personal
property
from
the
two
available
umbrella
tables
available
in
the
patio
area
after
they
have
finished
using
the
pool.
Some
guess
will
leave
swimming
suit
and
towels
on
them
overnight,
to
secure
the
tables
in
the
morning,
not
allowing
other
guests
to
use
the
umbrella
tables.
