Great location with outdoor seating in lush greenery. Food was good, went for breakfast (last order at 1030am) which is very well priced and affordable for a high end restaurant. We had egg benedict (small portion, mediocre), French toast (good size and great taste) with fresh mango juice & chiller juice (mediocre, juice wasn't really Fresh) Good overall due to ambience, you feel really serene and peaceful eating outdoors (big trees provide lots of shade)

Solid Indian-centric menu with a few more hotel coffee shop mainstays (club sandwiches etc.) headline this Hong Kong institution’s menu. Great location but in need of a facelift as the humidity and years have taken their toll. Fast service.

Will recommend . Great place for first date. A place where chilly wind might blow , and the guy takes off his jacket and offers his date , and the date returns with an “ awwww.... “ lol ( that’s what this place can do ) had the agave chipotle salsas , chips were quite crispy n portion was quite generous. But the sauce s a bit on the liquid-y side and from a plastic clear box. Doesn’t feel very made in the house. On the other hand , the lamb samosa ( 4 pieces) , paired with mango chutney , it was amarrrzing , good to snack on a lazy afternoon at 4. They offer paper straws at this place, so bring your own as the straw can get soggy pwetty quickly . Not a lot of people on a weekday , and the sunlight was abundant in the alfresco bit. The observatory structures are something I appreciate a lot . A speak easy sorta restaurant . 😊😊

We had our simple wedding at The Peak Lookout last weekend, and it was our great honour to be their first customer after the renovation completed. It has made our wedding much more meaningful and memorable. Environment - both garden area and dining area are comfortable and spacious. And of course the amenities are in perfect condition as the whole venue was renovated. Thank you Mr. Grant Baird, Mrs. Baird and his team for all the hard work throughout the whole renovation project. They worked non stop for countless weekends and the makeover turns out amazing! F&B - not lying but the food quality was overall impressive! The feedback on food and beverages from our guests were almost 100% excellent! Especially the live oyster on half shell (extremely fresh!), smoked beef short ribs (tendor and very beefy!), Nasi Goreng, red curry duck and etc… We had 30 items for our buffet and none of them disappointed us. Service - we cannot complain a thing on this, we never met a catering team as professional as them! They were just marvelous, and unbelievably attentive, polite and helpful. They were always there showing up next to you, right at the moment you need something. We would like to thank Queenie Fan, The Sales and Event Manager (very responsive the past few months); Hegel, Catering Manager; Jason, Catering Supervisor; Cedric, Catering Assistant Manager, and the rest of the team. The event would not be this smooth without their assistance.

Romantic place for dinner. Both indoor and outdoor eating spots available. Food is delicious with good wine to go with the dishes. Highly recommended.

Not a typical Peak Tourist restaurant. Mostly locals dine here on weekends. Great for family gatherings. Lovely old heritage building ( in need of sympathy renovations) with a pretty outside garden setting, rare in HK. Service is quick and friendly. Food and drinks are okay. Not what you come here for. Wheelchair and stroller accessible. Although washroom are not wheelchair suitable.

Came close to the dinner rush hour where most of the tables were reserved. Thanks to Captain Eve for allowing me to have a quick drink since I didn't make a reservation. Managed to take some memorable pictures ❤️

The best restaurant in the Victoria Peak. The environment is nice and comfortable. The foods are good too. Price is reasonable in regard to it location. Indoor and outdoor seats are lovely. Also, I always love to visit it during Christmas time to experience a unique traditional Christmas environment.

Would give zero stars if I could. Just went with 6 people for their Christmas Day set dinner. We had the 2PM seating and when we arrived there was a line of 50 people as the 12PM seatings weren’t finished yet. Because of this we didn’t sit down at our table until 2:40. Then they took 10 more minutes to get us water, 15 more minutes to get us drinks, and then after serving the drinks informed us it was ‘last call’ …. even though we just received our first drinks and only had been their for 30 minutes. The food was absolutely terrible, the soup course was only finished by 1 of the 5 guests who ordered it, was uneatable to the rest. The Turkey was processed meat stuff into a round shape and was still somehow dry. Their were multiple people missing carrots and potatoes from the Turkey Dish. It was an absolute joke of an experience and the worst Christmas meal any of us had ever had. This is a great location with a beautiful and historic interior. My prediction is the place will last a few more years, then when the Google Reviews push it further and further down, it will close. You just lost 6 local customers for good. Merry Christmas Oh, and there was a plumbing problem in the bathroom, so there was pooh water all over the floor…. Comical….

I recently had an amazing Sunday lunch at Peak Lookout in Hong Kong. For over a century, this iconic spot has been a favorite among HK residents, and it's easy to see why. The stunning views and delicious food make it a must-visit. Despite arriving without a reservation on a busy Sunday at 1 pm, we were pleasantly surprised to be seated at an inside table for 5 within a few minutes. While we had to wait 15 minutes for an outside table, the wait was well worth it. The service was excellent, and we were impressed by how quickly our food arrived, despite the restaurant and garden terrace being packed with people. The outdoor area, in particular, was special, offering designated tables for pets, which was a lovely touch. Overall, the experience was fantastic, and I can't wait to return to Peak Lookout for another unforgettable meal with breathtaking views.

When food is not your priority, this iconic restaurant is a nice place to visit for it does have a lovely setting and beautiful view. Food quality and service are both hot and miss. The short rib was declared tasty (the only hit). The chicken rice and tandoori chicken both so-so, as were the club sandwich (too dry) and ham and cheese sandwich, the latter made with Kraft sliced cheese instead of the smoked cheddar written on the menu. Service was really luck of the draw: one wait staff said he would check something for us but didn’t come back, but a more senior staff was clearly much more switched on. In short, come for the setting and nostalgia, but not for the food, and you will be fine.

Would say coming from a Singaporean point of view most of the food could be gotten in Singapore. Tried their sandwiches and the Peak Lookout burger. Nothing extraordinary for the price. However, the atmosphere and the outdoor views are worth a visit. A very nice place to have a chill afternoon tea as well.

The Peak Lookout is a Hong Kong institution, but unfortunately, it gradually became rundown over the years, then closed during Covid years. So it was a pleasant surprise to see it had reopened and have been renovated. The outdoor patio had a big makeover, with new decking, much better quality tables and chairs, and colourful plants. It was very pleasant and relaxing to dine there surrounded by all the greenery. The menu remained substantially unchanged. All our favourites were still there, and prices were reasonable for the location. Portion sizes a little smaller than from memory. Service was efficient and friendly. There were even a few smiling young waitresses, so rare in Hong Kong. It is a must go restaurant for visitors to Hong Kong.

The view and restaurant ambience is great. Had thd Tutti Fruiti drink was refreshing shake. The prawn salad was very good and a must order. The deep fried calamari was too thick with batter. Australian lamchops was sizeable delicious at 330g with choice of various sauces. The seafood spaghetti sauce was thick, very tasty and prawn fresh. The Thai yellow curry seafood bowl was tasty but could do with more spice and came with a half lobster - good portion for the hungry!

Nice food and ambience! Portion is good, big enough 👍🏻 Love the steak and Prawn Cocktail (it’s like a salad with prawns) especially. I have to say, the service is just mediocre overall. We didn’t have the appetiser (Caesar Salad). So we asked when the steak arrived. I guess they missed the order. Also, it took them so much preparation time for each dish. I felt like I had been waiting for the food for ages. Honestly I expect better service if the spending per head is over HKD500.

So glad it's open again! The menu has obviously shrunk but it still has the essence of the old colonial charm. Superb service and captivating ambience.

We were invited to a wedding party to this place. What an amazing place. The food is great and sitting outside enjoying the ceremony is something that amazes me in HK. The weather for this day was a beauty. Looking from the peak lookout for the sunset is a joy. What a lovely day. A great choice for any special events or just dinning here. What a privilege that we still have a traditional Stonehouse building and it serves amazing food with knows how to make full use of external area. Definitely will come back again.

Dinner was good. Food was delicious and big portions. Price reasonable. Good atmosphere. Very spacious seating, which is rare in Hong Kong... we didn't have to be forced to hear the other diners' 'insights' as in most restaurants in Hong Kong 🙉😅. No ridiculous scampy extra charge of leftovers take out box... pleasant dinnimg experience.

I went in middle of June with my wife's family to celebrate father's day. The place was barely half full but everything was in slow motion, the drinks, the ordering, they are really understaffed. The small number of staff there seems like they have been there for many years, and have lost all passion to their job. Not too bad but just not a cheerful vibe but then maybe I am having unrealistic expectations. The menu is huge with lots of different types to choose from eg. Indian, steak, risotto, pasta etc. The mango smoothie I ordered was rather tasteless and foamy, the tandoori lamb shoulder I order was actually tandoori lamb chop. Not really what I ordered, taste alright, bit oily for my taste. The nan that came with it was nice, dry and airyly fuffy at the same time. Last thing I must mention is that even we sat indoors, the place was very stuffy and hot. Might have been a better choice to sit outside if you don't mind the mosquitos. Oh and the toilet was very small and has seen better days, probably like 20 years old.

The patio is falling apart. Sadly, the walls, windows, gutters, and floorboards are in poor condition. For such an iconic restaurant, the owners should take better care of it as the atmosphere outside is very unpleasant due to its dilapidated state. Very unfortunate. Service was acceptable. Our server forgot our waters but immediately got them after being reminded. Drinks were mediocre. The latte and iced coffee was diluted. I hear the food is good and a walk through of the interior of the restaurant showed some lovely and classy decor. Hopefully they renovate and maintain the patio.
