An old style shanghaiese restaurant that is situated in the heart of the city. The decoration and vibe retain a feel of the 80s, that if course includes the staff uniform. Food is amazing, they have a wide variety of choice from traditional soup dumplings, roasted ducks to wonton chicken soup. Best to go in a group if you want to try more things on their menu. Pricing is decent except u can't linger there for cocktails after meals are served and consumed, the shop is efficient like a conveyor belt.

A great place to eat. Staff are cool :) fast service. Main dishes about 80 hkd. Fully diner with beer and all is around 350 hkd for 2 adults...if you choose about 3 main dishes + 2 rice + 2 beer. After 7pm usually busy place so have to waite outside a little to get table...

We always come here for good ole fashioned Shanghanese restaurant and good food! The stir fried rice cakes aren't too oily and was seasoned just right. The "lions head" meat ball is the bomb!!

If you expect to have good Shanghai dishes, do not come here. Decent taste, not as expected. One of the street food stalls that you have to bring your own napkins.

Authentic Shanghai food here. Really enjoyed the food. The staff were also very kind. The fried dumpling was slightly raw and the owner kindly refunded the dish. Very good. The store has been opened for 40 years and could be seen by the insides and the front door sign.

The food is delicious and the service is very fast! In particular, the xiaolongbao (小笼包) were delicious and juicy as they should be!😋 They even give you a soup for free as starter. The restaurant is old fashioned, it’s more about eating good food rather than enjoy the place!

As we try local restaurants in the area we spotted this near the exhibition center which serves classic Hong Kong dishes. Though they have an english menu we still missed out some of the orders due to a brief language barrier. We still love the food and we are seated with interesting locals who helped us translate with the staff. What I love about this restaurant is that they have classic flavors.

A classic Chinese restaurant made accessible to gweilos. Menu is in multiple languages. Food comes fast and hot. There's a large menu that can be overwhelming, but if the things we ordered, some highlights were the shrimp with vegetables, sweet and sour chicken/pork and the fried rice. I would skip the crispy fried noodles next time.

This place has been in HK for a long time. Glad they managed to survive. There is a lot of choices and i am sure there are loads of things you would like to try. The dishes are very local but taste yum. We have ordered fish, vegetable and cold noodles. The decoration is very traditional but clean. Price is on the cheaper side. Worth a try.

Great spot. Great location. Staff are friendly family style. Cramped and tight seating. Decor a bit old but food is great value and quality.

Very authentic local experience, cramped with small tables, cash only and very friendly service. Food was fast, hot, delicious and extremely tasty. Very well seasoned, mapo tofu is adequately spicy, hot and sour soup was delicious and siu loong pau were really nice. Recommended, a queue can form around dinner time so be ready for that.

Old style restaurant in Wan Chai. Convenient location under the walkway from either Wan Chai or Exhibition MTR's. Tasty shrimp and scrambled egg. Free tea. Very friendly fellow sitting by the door to ensure Leave Home Safe app scanned. Staff helpful with menu.

Always wanted to try this and finally here for a quick late lunch. Staff is welcoming, sure they are those traditional friendly type of staff who be helpful and quickly arrange your table. Ordered deep fried pork with rice. Pork is crispy at the outside and quite juicy. Only small point off is the overall ambience, the place is old and tired…but surely not a big deal if you are just hear for food.

Quite a no-nonsense shanghai bistro with some. history, the steam dumplings are below average standard yet other dishes could be a lot better, depends if u order the right dish. They open til real late, thats a plus for a quick fix rather than McD Street parking impossible during peak time, easy at other times. Cash only.

Another option for working calls lunch set. As a group, other more dishes could be orders. Very local language needed to make order and sitting requirement

I have visited the famous Shanghai 369 restaurant around 10 times on different occasions, mainly because the location is very accessible for me. I have tried the usual selections for Shanghai cuisine such as 粗炒 燻魚 炒飯 賽螃蟹 粉絲湯 etc and honestly I am not a big fan. But I really really love their 大湯黃魚, I could go for the set meal of this dish a few times a week and not get tired of it! The fish in this dish is just so tasty and the fish soup is superb. And they usually come with another daily soup with the set and that soup is amazing too! (I am a soup person so two soups for me is doubling the happiness) Their 鱔糊,滷水素鵝,醃篤鮮are also worth trying. Although I probably wouldn’t go for their soup pea sprout again, as you can see from the photo, there are multiple pieces of printed paper dissolved in the dish… it surely could happen in any other dish, but I would avoid ordering the pea sprout nonetheless….

This is one of those restaurants where you could pick anything off the menu and it would be great. It specialises in Shanghainese food which seems to cover a fairly broad range of dishes. We ordered a mixture of hot and cold dishes with the thinly sliced and slightly gelatinous beef being a highlight. The beef and broccoli and even the rice were very good. Highly recommended
