Lots of interesting foods in this store. I went here to check out their rings, and the associate was helpful in letting me try them on. I ended up getting one of their cobalt and koa rings. Very beautiful.

Had the best experience with Mitsue, She is full of aloha! She took me all around the store and gave me such valuable information. As we were strolling around the store I discovered a Koa cane which I’ve been looking for one for my father for years. It was perfect! She helped me with the purchase and I couldn’t be anymore happy about my purchase and experience at the ala moana location. Thelma was also very informative and together they make a great team! Great employees and great products!!

Horrible experience went in there to look at watch cause I am avid watch collector…. No one was in the store…. Waited 10 mins looking around and no hello hi how you doing……. Left out the store still nothing said….

I love shopping here and coming into this store. It is a little more on the expensive side, but the quality of the items they carry is worth what is being asked. The staff here is very friendly, knowledgeable and quick to greet you.

UPDATE Martin & MacArthur very kindly provided me with a new watch. In fact they shipped it overnight. They responded to my email and dispatched a replacement watch immediately. If something happens to your watch, you may want to try contacting them first before sending it into Tense for repair. Thank you, Martin & MacArthur! OLD REVIEW WARNING - DO NOT BUY WOOD WATCHES - POORLY MADE AND COMPANY WILL NOT HONOR WARRANTY. I purchase a beautiful blue faced koa watch from here. It looks amazing. Unfortunately, after about 1 month of ownership - the watch stopped keeping time. Keep in mind, I have treated this watch with great care so I wasn't even thinking there was a mechanical issue. I thought the battery was bad. I took it into a watch repair shop to have the battery repaired. I watched with my own eyes as they took at the battery and said "the battery is fine." I thought - oh no. They then reset the time using the dials on the side of the watch and the watch started keeping time again. As I left the watch repair person said they if I kept having this issue it probably means the watch is defective and I should send it in. Guess what - I kept having the issue. After one year of having to constantly reset the watch (the watch stopped keeping time 6 times) I sent the watch in for repair. Please note that Martin & MacArthur don't make these watches. They are made by a company called Tense Watches in Canada. At my own expense I shipped the watch to Canada and just received an email from Tense saying that the watch is not covered under warranty. What? Why? They said the watch was "improperly repaired," which is why it doesn't work. I about fell out of my chair. It was improperly MADE! It stopped working before I ever took it in to have it looked it. I never have had an experience like this before so I want to warn you, reader, the watches may look nice but be very careful in purchasing them. If something is wrong with the watch (and its not your fault), Tense will look for a reason to not honor the warranty.

Came here last year to buy some gifts and some souvenirs. They had great customer service and a very welcoming and homey feel to the store. I highly recommend coming here for a more high price or very nicely crafted gift or memento.

Nice store. I thought their wood watches were stunning. I ended up buying one on vacation and bringing back to the Midwest. It was crazy the amount of attention the watch drew. I probably got complements at least once every other week when i wear the watch. I had a self imposed issue with the watch. Martin and MacArthur fully and completely helped resolve the issue even when they had no obligation to do so. Fantastic product with excellent service !

Nice place for gift ideas. They sell almost anything you can imagine made out of koa wood.

Summary: Bad customer service. Save yourself the trouble and visit a different location like International Marketplace, or a different brand entirely. I came here looking for a koa pen as a gift for a friend. My wife and I started looking for a pen with a nice curly pearlescent wood grain. One of the clerks came over to help. I explained that we were looking for a pen with a nice grain. As we looked through all the boxes on the display she opened a cabinet to show me some alternatives. We went through a couple more and as I questioned their quality (some of the wood was not attached properly and spun freely) she became more pushy. It got bad enough that my wife felt uncomfortable and walked away. Still not seeing a grain/pen I liked I asked if I could see some more but she told me there were none. At that point I reopened the cabinet to point to all the other boxes underneath. I didn't even reach in, just pointed but she freaked out and scolded me saying I could go in there (just a few minutes after she opened it and let me before). I took a moment to think about what was going on. I politely told her thank you but I will spend my money elsewhere. She snarkily said "that's fine, you can go do that!" On my way out a different clerk asked if everything was ok. As I started to explain with "No, I don't understand why she has to be so rude.." she began yelling from across the store mid sentence. At that point my wife and I just left. The staff at the International Marketplace were far more helpful (not pushy) and knowledgeable. They knew exactly what I was looking for and helped me find a great pen for my friend. Save yourself a headache and go there instead.
