It is a place of peace and tranquility, ideal for late afternoon and to see the sunset, I suggest not using perfumes, or body moisturizers with scent to not attract mosquitoes. There is a walkway of almost 500 meters in the middle of the vegetation. Fantastic place.

One of the best watchtowers I have visited. Great for families, the walk to the tower is very adventurous for children , but not when they are very young because you can fall off into the water. It’s completely free and parking is close by.

Wonderful viewpoint on the Dollard or Ems estuary. It's located on the most northeastern point of The Netherlands. Has great views of the Wad (area that falls dry during low tide) Many birds and sometimes also seals can be viewed from here. There's a narrow path through the high reeds which you need to take to get there but it is well worth the visit. Be sure to bring binoculars when you visit. It will make it easier to spot birds or other wildlife when you do get there.

This is the best spot for watching the sunset. It overlooks the marshes and the river and you can spot so many species of birds.

Birds and Animals of the Northern Sea! Bring binoculars, some patience and a good jacket.

We come to the Kiekkaste so now and then. It is always relaxing. This time there was a seal swimming around, always fun.

Easy to find, it wasn't crowded at all. The bridge/walkway there is about 800meters or so? A brief 5-10 minutes walk depending on who is doing the walking 😉. We did see a lot of birds, bring binoculars though. I can see bird lovers liking this place more than me, the place has nametags etc. all over the place, but the view is still great. And there's no noise at all, really peaceful. So for me : It's okay. For others... Probably great.

What an amazing place! Beautiful location. Nice little walk to get there and from the tower you have great view over changing tides.

Stylish Observation post for birdspotters and people who are fond of nature. The wooden Jetty leading up to it, is an attraction on itself. Built on the edge of one of the last true nature reserves of the Netherlands: 'de waddenzee'. To be more specific: Estuary 'de Dollard'

Fantastic place with an awesome view and nice path to the house of birds. I enjoy this trip. On the Netherlands side you can have a cup of coffee at least at Sunday.
