We are from Australia & everyone stays in Amsterdam. Haarlem is 15 mins away & a beautiful city but feels like a village. It’s so classy. The Malt Hotel is the perfect stay, close to the wonderful town square & beautiful restaurants. The owners Hank & Annemarie are the best hosts during our 5 week European vacation. Their breakfast is is included & incredible. You won’t go hungry. The rooms are super clean & large in size. Just loved our stay. Highly recommend 🥰

This is more than just staying at a bed and breakfast. It is like staying with family!!!! The rooms are amazing. The breakfast is amazing but Henk & Annemarie are the absolute best. They have gone way above to make our stay special. I highly recommend this fantastic place.

Hank & Annemarie are super hosts. We had a wonderful stay in Haarlem at the Hotel Malts. The breakfasts are filling and there is endless coffee. The rooms are incredibly clean, the beds comfy, and rooms quiet!

This BnB is great! It's in a nice area in Haarlem just outside of Amsterdam. The bus and train are both nearby. The owners are EXTREMELY helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this place and would 100% stay here again if I was in the area.

We had a nice small room with a great view over the town. The room and accompanying bathroom were both as warm as you'd like after a day in the cold and rain. The hosts were welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was a light buffet, with bread, cheeses, cold meats and yoghurt, all pretty good. Coffee was better than expected. Location was excellent, easily within walking distance of the museums, churches and train station.

We adored this hotel. Breakfast was amazing! The room was perfect. The staff were extremely helpful. We rented their bikes and rode to the beach. Haarlem is what you wish Amsterdam could be. Such a lovely small city and great shopping!

We stayed here for six days and will definitely return. This hotel is exceptionally clean, quiet, and in a great location. It provides a homestyle atmosphere. The hosts, Henk and Annemarie, provide a wonderful breakfast with daily fresh foods and with outstanding service. They also provide recommendations for dinner, activities, sightseeing, etc and all were spot on. The breakfast area is open all day for some free tea or coffee or other drinks at nominal cost. Hotel Malts is five stars all the way!!!

Everything was perfect! The hotel is located in the center and close to the bus station which gets you to the airport. The rooms are nice and very clean. Also the breakfast was delicious and made with love from the owners. Henk and Annemarie are super friendly and helpfull. So when we come back to Haarlem we would definitely come back to this place!

We loved this place. We stayed for 5 days in April. The owners are extremely nice and kind. The made a beautiful breakfast for us every morning which was delicious. They answer questions about the area. We loved Haarlem and all the museums and attractions. The hotel is very convenient from the airport by bus, and we could easily walk to the train station and everywhere else in the old town. The room was lovely, roomy and comfortable. We were able to handle the stairs although we are older. We had a great time in Haarlem.

We stayed in May 2022 for 3 nights. The place is very clean, the breakfast very good and the hosts are wonderful and helped me with advices and a lot of information. If you want a quiet, warm & cozy experience, this is the best place to stay. Dear hosts, thank you for everything and I hope to see you again in February 2023! 🙏🏼🤗

We had a wonderful stay at the B&B and Henk & Annemarie were wonderful hosts who gave some great recommendations of things to see while we were in the area. We arrived early and they held our bags and allowed us to check in early which was super helpful after a long flight. They had a delicious breakfast and coffees available during breakfast and had our coffee orders memorized by later part of our stay! We would love to stay in Haarlem again which was a beautiful area to stay and is just a short trip to Amsterdam or other great spots.

Value for money. This B&B hotel is located close to a parking garage, several bars and restaurants and also the city center. The host was extremely welcoming and was able to fill us in on every bar and restaurant in the area even where there were some special occasions. The room was very clean and for the Twin bed room we reserved very roomy. I expected a lot less for the low price. If I ever need to stay over in Haarlem again, I'll go here.

Our stay with Henk and Annemarie was the absolute highlight of our 2-week trip to the Netherlands and Belgium. It felt like we were staying with old friends who also happen to make good coffee and breakfast. The dining room (open all day as a place to hang out with an honor ball) was immersed in gezelligheid (Dutch word for cozy well-being). The rooms were expansive. The location was perfect - a short stroll to everywhere you'd want to go.

Good location, clean and nice room. Cheerful owners. Only lacks a cooler/small fridge and air conditioner in the summer. Appropriately priced.

The perfect place to stay in Haarlem! We stayed here in 2020 and had to come back. Henk and Annemarie are such wonderful hosts -- they're incredibly kind and take the time to make sure you really feel situated in Haarlem and comfortable at the B&B. They are an absolute wealth of knowledge! The location is great -- a stone's throw from the main square -- and there is a convenient nearby parking garage. Plus, breakfast is excellent and the breakfast room is open all day with coffee and tea -- a great place for a family to hang out and play games in the evening!

The hosts, Henk and Annemarie, are very nice people who really love Haarlem and know the surrounding area perfectly, providing helpful tips. The hotel is located in the pedestrian center of the city. Rooms are clean and very comfortable. The breakfast is perfect. We were pleasantly surprised by the hospitality.

We can’t recommend Hotel Maltz more! Our stay was simply delightful. Henk and Annemarie are lovely hosts and all the staff match, our room was spacious and bright, and the hotel is in a wonderful location down the street from Harlem’s central square. A joy!

Malts is most ideal place to enjoy beautiful Haarlem and Amsterdam. Henk and Annemarie are providing excellent service kindly. I stayed 2019 and 2022 with wife and biz partner. I strongly recommend this wonderful place for your trip.

We had a fabulous stay at the hotel. Henk and Annamarie are super hosts. They think of every detail and they couldn’t be anymore accommodating or friendlier. The hotel itself is in a great location, the rooms are spotless and the bed and pillows quite comfortable. This Bay Area California couple loved the stay and of course Haarlem. If I was you, I would stay here rather than Amsterdam and heed all of Henk’s and Annemarie’s recommendations.

Clean small hotel with the personal touch. Well situated. Our room on the first floor was spacious and comfortable. A10 minute walk to the train station and very easy to get to Amsterdam. Recommended.

Long overdue review - we stayed in August 2018 for our honeymoon and had an awesome time. Our hosts Henk & Anne Marie went over the top to welcome us and make our stay special. So happy to have found this gem. For any fussy travelers on the fence: book here and you wont be disappointed.

The hosts are so friendly and remembered when my husband and son visited. The location is very central and the room was clean and tasteful. Enough space even to eat a takeaway meal. We were allowed to use the cutlery and plates from the kitchen.

Henk and Annemarie were wonderful hosts. The room and beds were very clean and comfy and a very good and clean bathroom. Annemarie brought our luggage up to our room. They were both very welcoming and friendly. They both gave us an overview of what we could do during our stay in Haarlem. The breakfast was really good with lots of choices. I also highly recommend staying in Haarlem. It's a lovely town with an array of different things to do. Malts hotel is very conveniently located near the center whilst also remaining in a quiet and peaceful street. Don't hesitate to book. You won't regret it. Thank you Henk and Annemarie!
