Cafe Coffee shop

👍👍 Good coffe and friendly staff. Only wish they had a wide variety of pastries. Outdoor seating and parking on the right side of the establishment. Horchata latte was pretty good. People often mention coffee, spot, service, great,

Found this spot because I really wanted a picture of the freedom mural which is next to this cute shop. That's when the owner saw me and told me about the Texas mural on the patio in the picture. My friend enjoys teas and lattes. She ordered an Oatchata, an horchata made with oak milk. She raved about it. The owner told us how this is the second shop and a deal of other great knowledge. Definitely worth checking it out.

Highly recommend this coffee shop! I tried their Maya mocha latte and it was great. Not too overwhelming with the spices. We were also kindly welcomed by J who guided us through their coffee selection. Will def come back again!

I must say this is a new, cozy hidden gem I will be visiting frequently! They have vegan bean & corn tamales that hit the spot & amazing coffee. Jay the barista was super friendly & knowledgeable. The color scheme & vibes were so homely. Even on a 100 degree day, the patio was still cool since it’s tucked in between two buildings. It’s so difficult finding places downtown to grab a quick bite & legit coffee, especially with vegan/plant based options! I am SO glad I discovered this cute little spot! Highly recommend. 💯

I loved the environment and great service. The coffee was awesome too Been here for a bit and the music seems to make the environment clash differently. Maybe other playlists but I will be coming back for the service and the friendly employees

We stumbled across this coffee shop walking back to our Air B&B. We are so happy to have found this place. The coffee was absolutely delicious and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. I recommend anyone living or visiting Houston to stop in and try it out. IMO their straight black coffee has much better taste than Starbucks.

Dear valued readers, I had the pleasure to visit “el campesino cafe” and I must say it was an outstanding experience. As soon as I stepped in, J the barista greeted me with a warm smile and an eagerness to help me find the perfect coffee drink. He was truly amazing at offering me the best options and his art on top of the coffees was a masterpiece that I couldn't resist taking a picture of. The coffee taste was great and the space had a unique blend of Latin and urban vibes, which created the perfect atmosphere for me to relax and enjoy my beverage. Furthermore, the music selection was perfect and complemented the experience perfectly. I highly recommend “el campesino cafe” if you’re looking for an excellent coffee shop with a fantastic barista, great coffee, and amazing art with a unique blend of Latin and urban vibes. So, if you're looking for the perfect spot, head over to “el campesino cafe” and enjoy a five-star experience that you will never forget. Great job, J, and kudos to the team at “el campesino cafe” for making my visit a memorable one!

I had coffee at another reputable place in the area, but this spot had better personable service (Jay was awesome), better coffee, and a better natural vibe. Grab a coffee and a pastry, then do a quick tour of the incredible murals in the area. When I'm in town again, I'm definitely coming back here!

Cozy coffeeshop streetside. Bohemian vibe. There's a bakery with cookies, muffins, & empanadas. Full espresso bar. This place really shines on the speciality menu - delicious coffee in brew styles from across the americas. Unfortunately, no wifi takes it down a peg. Plenty of outlets regardless.

Gottdam, this is a good cup of coffee! I got the Maya Mocha Latte and didn’t need to add a thing. The service was personable and made my morning even better.

I had the most amazing experience here. The man behind the counter was so kind and detailed with his work on the coffee and guest service. He wasn't super fast, but that wasn't an issue because of how well he put the drinks together. The way he also talked to the guests while he made the choice and knew many of the people by name was impressive to say the least. I had some excellent latte art on top of my Maya Mocha latte. Not a spot I would go if I was looking for something quick, but definitely somewhere I would go if I had time and wanted an experience over convenience.

Exactly the speakeasy vibe I was looking for while on foot in Downtown Houston. I’ll be coming back for my Cuban roast with no upcharge for oat milk.
