This is a super impressive place for kids to play, explore, and learn. It's beautifully done and has a ton of areas and things for kids to do to introduce them to intellectual concepts, imaginative play, and physical activity. The Achilles heel of the place is that it is just completely overwhelming for really young kids. Our 2 year old struggled with just how crowded and intense the place was. Our 4 year old did a bit better.

This is absolutely a wonderful place to take your child. It's amazingly busy of course, but the kids don't mind. It's is MUCH larger than you'd expect and you'll spend 4 plus hours here very easy. The level of engagement and the amount of wonder seen in their eyes is pretty great. Definitely worth a revisit

My daughter loves going here. She always has a blast. Her favorite areas are the outdoor waterworks and the downstairs physics/engineering area. The membership is worth it if you are planning to visit multiple times a year.

This place is a GIFT. In a word: resources. It’s a huge complex with so many areas I’ve been going for years and still can’t say I know it completely. It’s always surprisingly clean, offering science and cultural activities, always hands on, indoor and outdoor, personnel is always friendly and knowledgeable. In the makers area you find everything your kids might need to make stuff, they even have laser cutting machines, copy machines, in their shop. Every Thursday family night with free entrance, covered parking is usually just 5 dollars.

We took our 15-month-old and he loved it. We played in the baby & toddler section for about an hour. Then moved outside to explore. So many kids, so much fun. He did get soaked outside in the water activities, so bring a change of clothes.

You know I was very surprised by this place.. I was pretty skeptical at first from the outside.. but man this was a blast. Tons and tons to do, keeping the kiddo thought process working throughout. There are tons of little projects to do, inside playground to beat the heat, a very nice parking deck, I didn't try the cafe though but it smelt amazing. Definitely recommend for the kiddos!

Lots of fun and interactive activities to do here, and there is even a mini town for kids. Any attractions will take a long time for the line is very long. Other than that, this place is great! Shout out to the staff who is always cleaning after the kids.

Very nice place to take the children for a day of fun. Be prepared to be in there for hours!! My children had a ton of fun and there is soooo much to do. There are three floors of fun with the third floor being designated for smaller children. The food isn’t even too bad for a museum.

We had an amazing weekend and experience. There was something to do to everyone in the family. We are a family of 6 and all ages, our kiddos loved all different activities, even though it was a weekend, all kids had a chance to enjoy all activities.

Great experience with the family. Now, I haven't been since I was a kid myself so there's obviously new additions. Kidtropolis was very engaging and hands on for the kiddos. They still have the giant telephone man made of land line phones. The biggest nostalgic memory that made my day was that they had the SAME blue van in the Mexican village section of the museum!!! My kids climbing in and playing around like I used to do almost 30 years ago, really made my day.

Love this children’s museum!! Great exhibits and building flow. Got a family membership and we will definitely be returning!! I wish they would put something in the building to boost cell phone reception as my children’s air tags didn’t work while we were there but we were able to keep up with them.

Man! This place is just… FILLED to the brim with STEM activities. The kiddo I was nannying spent 5 hours just absolutely ENCAPSULATED by all this place has to offer, if your child is 10 or older you just might spend the entire day there because there are so many activities that require reading and learning how to operate. The Korean section was sooooo cool to go through as well.

A great place for children, I recommend that you come early so you can visit its 10 areas, the staff is very clean but they were not very friendly except for the one at the window check He was very friendly but the others have 3 stars for me.

It's the best children's museum I've been too. There's tons to do and plenty of interactive activities. I'd recommend planning on spending at least 3 hours here but you could easily spend more. We visited on a very busy day but the attractions/exhibits were still easily accessible. The staff were very helpful and friendly. This place is a must if you have little ones. They will be exhausted after a visit to this children's museum. They also have paid parking and a cafe inside.

Children museum is a fun place to be, especially during hot or raining days. I love how they have many indoor activities and also the water play outdoor. It’s packed during the weekends so maybe arriving later will be less people. Be sure to pack extra clothes if your child play outside in the water area. Right now children and adults over 2 years old require a mask.

Definitely read the other reviews. It is a fun place that can last a whole day if your kids are older than 5 years. There are activities for the younger kids but not enough to last a whole day. During the summer will get very busy and as many reviewers have said, go on the weekdays if you can and not summer or breaks. We were there after July 4th and it was not bad, but still busy. Our kids had a lot of fun and didn't want to leave. On other note, parking was not bad if you were there early. Buy tickets online so you can enter before others. I took that recommendation from the other reviewers.

My family and I had a great time at the Children's Museum today. I personally have not been here since I was a child. There were many activities for children of all ages. My two girls, Kaylee and Karissa had a blast picking out all thier favorite foods at the HEB grocery store and pretending to mail boxes and weigh mail at the pretend post office! They also were stoked to make gooey green slime and collect candy trick or treating throughout the facility. I would definitely recommend coming to the museum for lots of family fun!!

It was a great day for my 4 year old son. There were so many educational activities to get kids engaged with STEM. As a physicist, I loved the chaotic pendulums, so many different circuits to build alarms, and light up lamps, and so many more activities. We got a free ticket because we were Bank of America account holders, and we just showed our IDs and debit cards. But this promotion was valid in the first weekend of every month. It was extremely busy for a weekend. I liked the restaurant inside the building and their food was good, though it took so long to get ready. We will definitely be back there.

I wish I dedicated more time for city pass attractions. If you have kids and you want them to learn and play at same time, this is it…absolutely amazing experience. It is so much fun 🤩 Parking is a little cumbersome so wear sneakers as it will be a long walk.

It was a fun experience, definitely more than we could do in a morning! We have a membership and it's totally worth it if you're near this location or the Fort Bend Discovery Center. The miniature town was fun and is current Mexico themed (some of the older pictures show a different theme for the town - those are either outdated or from the Fort Bend Discovery Center). Staff was great, helpful, and there's even a little library here!

It is an amazing place to bring your kids to. Kids will have fun all the time, learn new things and explore the world of activities. The outdoor area is very nice too. Kids will have a lot of exercises and learn about many things

I’ve heard good things about the children’s museum, but it far exceeded my expectations when I visited for the first time in November. We have 3 young kids and they certainly enjoyed themselves, but there are many activities to play with and learning opportunities which will become more interesting as they grow older too. I’m not sure who had more fun, the kids or the grownups.

This place had a lot going on. There was plenty to see and look at. My daughter got a kick out of the challenge course and my son loved the outdoor water area. However, our children’s museum at home has little raincoats for the kids to wear in the water area so their clothes don’t get soaked. My son was drenched, which was irritating because we were on vacation and this was our last stop, so we had to go change at a gas station. Also, your average guest at a place like this is maybe 2-6. A lot of the exhibits and activities go way over their heads. Like learning about compound interest and chaotic motion? Kids just want to pretend and have fun. Don’t try so hard.

We had a lot of fun here. There is a lot to do and see. The learning aspect almost seems like it’s for older kids and the playing aspect seems like it’s for younger kids so I think it is hard to say what exact age group this type of place is for. So we did more of the playing type activities and skipped a lot of the learning aspects. Our favorites were the grocery store, veterinary office and the outdoor water play area. Everything was very clean but some things were broken and not working. The kids can be the adults in the mini city and have “jobs” and earn paychecks. The adults can be the kids and have dinner served at the diner or bring their sick pet to the veterinarian. The food court cafe was good to stop for lunch and the staff there were so nice and helpful. There were a lot of school classes coming through so it got very busy and loud at times. Bring a change of clothes if you think you need it for the water play area. About half the area is shaded so there were places to stand in the shade while the kids played. There is a small outdoor playground with slides. The indoor climbing structure was closed when we visited. There is a small area that had baby chicks, a snake and some turtles to view also.

This place is very good. They have a lot of stuff for children to do, learn, and see. They have a playground in the back with a water course. There's a climbing area for kids to climb a tower. There Is about 3 floors in the place. They have a mini city for kids where kids can play. There are many things for kids to do. Overall 5 stars

My 2 year old had a blast here. Went on a Wednesday morning and it was already super crowded. There’s plenty for everyone to do. Will probably not go back any time soon. I found out that if you have Wic or other government assistance you get in for free. Ticket prices are still not bad but it was way too crowded for me.

This museum is expansive, with a very wide variety of attractions. The variety is better than most other children's museums we've been to. There's a large outdoor water play area with many ways to make dams and experience hydro dynamics, including an Archimedes screw. On this visit they had snow to play in. They always have a variety of analog and technology-based exhibits, with everything being hands-on, as well as come-at-will crafts. Kidtropolis is excellent for introducing money matters. Easy access to toilets for potty trainers, easy for strollers except as it gets busy and crowded. We've brought ages 2 through 7, and older ages are attracted, too.

We took the kids here one Saturday before Halloween and we had a blast! Now, it was crowded but we still had so much. A lot of things for the kids to do and play with and play make believe. And while having fun, they were learning as well and to me that is the best. They even had a water exhibit outside for the kids to learn and play. No matter the child's age, they will be smiling all day long! We did too.

Go early! The Kidmetropolis gets very crowded the longer the day goes on. If you have an older kid then you definitely want to do the spy experience. $7 a mission is really not bad compared to other add-on features at other attractions.

Absolutely wonderful experience. My 4 year old son was beyond happy. It is filled with everything you need to keep your kid entertained. Wow is all I can say.

It was my son and I's first visit to this museum and I really enjoyed my visit. He had a blast playing alongside the other children. By far his favorite as well as mine was the Kidtropolis. He got to shop at the HEB and play as a police officer and paramedic.

I visited a similar museum in VA and the cost for my daughter & I was 10bucks combined....(you can view my review for that children's museum) Here, parking was 10bucks. The total event cost 45dollars... cost alone is why I gave 3 stars The best part about this museum is the Mexico-themed area they have. That was delightful and great to see, especially in TX

Nice place to bring the kids. They have so many interesting things for kids to play. We went on weekend and really crowded. Can’t really enjoy everything because too many people. I think during weekday will be the best to go.

We had so much fun trick or treating with the kids! Everyone wore a mask, and had so much fun. There were a TON of interactive activities for the kids and adults... it all tied in to something educational.
