Simply AMAZING! Now I know that sounds too hyperbolic when it comes to rating a "salad place", but you have to eat here to understand. I was amazed at what they can do with a salad and a salad bowl. You can taste the freshness and you can hear the enthusiasm in the voices of the employees here. The McKinney location is a very short 1 minute walk from my office downtown and I cant get enough of these salads, bowls and breakfasts. It doesnt matter which one you get either, you can bet your you know what that it will be fresh and delicious. This is one of the best habits I have developed. Stop reading this review and get over there and eat, already. The Oasis, the Herb Your Enthusiasm, The Alamo, The Immunity...so so so good. (I'm typing this after having just finished off an Oasis at my desk.) Just do it!

Leaf and Grain is the finest salad establishment I have been to. Not only do they craft their unique salads with the freshest ingredients, but they provide a team of helpful members willing to go above and beyond. Even during peak business hours, their team carries itself with class, cordiality, and respect. Don't think twice about trying L&G out — you won't be disappointed.

👍 This restaurant has nice tossed salads. 👎 Unfortunately, one of the salads is pictured with jalapenos and the location does not stock them. They should change the photo of this salad (I think it was "The Alamo"). They offered a "Cilantro-Jalapeno Dressing", which is a poor substitute to the advertised ingredient. 🤛 There's always a cadre of good-looking, college-age men working around the entrance. I think they work at this restaurant. They tend to hog the tables in front of the business, which discourages anyone from eating there.

Awesome lunch stop on our road trip! Love supporting locally owned businesses that provide gluten free options! I have a service animal and the staff gave us no issues nor did they interfere with his job. 100% would recommend!

While Salata gives you a LOT more toppings to choose from (and no limit), the ingredients here taste fresher. The avocados, feta cheese and the avocado vinaigrette are really good.

I love this place so much! I eat here for their delicious salad options. I am totally in love with the Maize Runner since it came out in the Fall. I love that they use roasted veggies for extra flavor and looks gorgeous. I highly recommend trying any of their grain bowls. I also love the common table, the Alamo and the Seoul one.

Leaf & Grain has really managed to make healthy food exciting and tasty. The owners clearly care about customer satisfaction, which I love. I eat lunch here every time I get the chance and I always notice the owner himself standing in line engaging with customers. Employees also truly care about customers. I swear they know the name of every single customer that regularly comes in. They even remember your regular order! I would honestly choose Leaf & Grain over Salata any day for this reason. I love supporting local businesses like Leaf and Grain because, as I have already told explained, they care and the quality of their ingredients is far superior to businesses. Their meat is amazing. The tofu is non-GMO, the chicken is antibiotic free and the steak is from 44 farms. My favorite protein option is definitely their citrus shrimp. I try to eat mostly pescatarian and it is often hard to find restaurants that cater to my dietary habits. Leaf & Grain has options for everyone. The most important note that I have is about the salad dressings. They make all of their dressings in house and it really shows. Each dressing is perfectly paired with its corresponding salad or grain bowl. They are constantly tweaking their dressing recipes to make sure they are the best that they possibly can. It is such an amazing place. It's no wonder the line is always out the door! (But don't worry, the longest I have waited was 12 minutes, even when I was at the very end of the line)

I just found my new favorite restaurant! Not only does Leaf and Grain have the best salads in Houston, but also, the restaurant itself has a great atmosphere. All of their ingredients are top of the line and delicious. Highlights of my salad ("The Alamo") was the housemade chipotle lime vinaigrette and the best chicken. Can't wait to come back!

I came to Leaf & Grain for lunch with a colleague during the afternoon lunch hour. The line was out the door so, I took that as a good indicator of what to expect. I waited in line for no more five minutes until I was asked politely what I would like to order. I'm a big "red meat" guy and when I saw that they offered a 44Farms Steak Salad with meat sourced from 44Farms (duh), I knew that that was going to be the meal for me. The steak salad is comprised of steak chunks (obviously) which were perfectly prepared (not too rare, not too well done), blue cheese, bacon bits, tomatoes, pickled red onions with a horseradish vinaigrette. I also opted for the additional avocado because PROTEIN. Before adding the vinaigrette, I was asked if I would like a small, medium or heavy dose (a nice touch especially with salads). I opted for a medium dose and was not let down. The salad was so delicious that I forgot to take a picture of it! As mentioned above, the steak was perfectly prepared, the blue cheese added the right amount of *zing*, the bacon was crispy, the pickled onion added a perfect counter balance to the horseradish vinaigrette. If you are looking for a healthy and tasty lunch, check this place out!

SO YUMMY! All of the salads are delicious and the service is great! Leaf and Grain makes me excited to eat healthy, and their Good Greek is one of my favorites. Highly recommend Leaf and Grain!

Overall, good fresh food, fast service. The Alamo bowl is my go to, some bowls are made with love and others not so much. However with the continuous price increases, it makes it hard to spend nearly $20 on a salad.

I just recently tried Leaf & Grain for the first time, and it was phenomenal! Their food is clearly fresh and it's delicious. It's a great healthy option for lunch or dinner. The staff was extremely friendly and kind. The line moved very quickly, much faster than I expected. I would definitely recommend Leaf & Grain to anyone looking for a healthy but tasty meal!

I was guided to Leaf & Grain by friends and was blown away by the quality of the food! I had the Pollo Laredo, which was delicious. Bright, crisp flavors and a great mix of textures! My friends salads all looked great (I snuck a taste of the other dishes at the table!) + a really neat little grilled cheese & tomato basil soup! Nice! A real comfortable little restaurant and the owner was there checking on us. Thanks, I’ll be back!

My first time visiting. I was interested in the Good Greek dish, I but asked for a recommendation just in case. They suggested the Good Greek since I was new, so that's what I got. It was delicious and very filling. I requested extra chicken, which brought the price up a bit, but it was worth it. I'm looking forward to trying this place again!

So fresh and delicious! I ordered the veggie bowl and added chicken, avacado, and cabbage. Sooo good! So many wonderful flavors all at once! Orgasm for your tastes buds!

The food is really good quality here, and friendly service. However, I would like to let people be aware this is 3 stories up in a building. You have to go inside, and go up two escalators, and then straight down to the end. Also, the menu prices on Google are not accurate. They have raised the prices since posting their menu prices on here. God Bless.

From grain bowl to warm bowl options , to salads, vegan , deserts and kids meal! They have it all! We are addicted to Sunny’s Garden & their cayenne pepper fudge brownie …. Yuuuuuum !!
