I had a 48th Birthday on 12-07-2021. And I have been treating myself to a Different Black 🖤 Owned eatery everyday. This spot has a Great tasting breakfast sandwich..you go up to the side window to order. And the young lady was kind enough to bring it to me outside. I asked her what would she suggest for the breakfast sandwich and she said the Cajun Turkey with Havarti Cheese. It was very good. I Love the fact that this is Black 🖤 Owned...keep up the great work and stay strong..❤️💚🖤✊🏾💪🏾👍🏾

I’ve seen multiple people leave negative comments lately (I understand to some extent) along with harsh responses from the owner (understandable as well). I live in the area and really enjoy this establishment so I figured why not share my experience with a few suggestions vs straight bashing. 1. I love their chicken sausage croissant! It’s been out a couple of times but they made up by giving me a discount the next time I came by! Nice touch! 2. The lady at the window is always nice. Can tell she’s very busy but always kind to me. Here are my suggestions (coming from a place of love because I hate to see these harsh comments): Prior to the plumbing situation I’ve visited during business hrs on the week just to find out the restaurant was closed. I understand waiting on Google to update but I highly recommend utilizing your IG page for updates. This way you can instantly communicate changes since you’re dealing with a rapidly changing situation and your customers can know without actually going to the restaurant (gas is too high! Lol). I also suggest posting multiple signs with your updated hours specifically one right next to your normal hours. I know you’ve mentioned that you don’t take phone orders. However, being able to contact you is pretty important. What if my order was incorrect? What if I want to make sure my fave item is in stock before leaving home? Just a thought. I’m not an owner but I’ve been a restaurant goer for a few decades now lol so I think I can offer some good feedback. Feel free contact me if you have any comments or concerns! I really enjoy this place and I want everyone else to enjoy it too!

Lovely lovely place! Great ambience! It’s black owned and family owned and run. The owner makes the coffee and cooks herself. Wish I lived closer and could come by more often to enjoy this vibe!

The menu is wonderful, there is literally something on the menu for everyone, including vegans, dairy free options, kid friendly options, and caffeine free options. The food options are phenomenal and the prices are very fair. I cannot wait to return!

Soooo, the breakfast is 💣 at this Female, Black Owned coffee house in Third Ward Houston, Texas! My daughter got the breakfast croissant and it is AMAZING! Never had garlic butter on a breakfast sandwich, but now I won't be able to eat one without it! Lol, and the bacon came from GOD himself bc it was divine. I had the Lake Charles roll and my favorite part was the boudain. The customer service is A1 as well, made me feel so welcome. Please go support her! We will mosdef be back!

I have had coffee here twice. The coffee was delicious. I was considering going to them today because I was in the area. However, after reading these reviews, should any other potential customer. The way they speak to reviewers is unacceptable. I will never come back, and neither should anyone else. Some Reviewers may be “whiney”.. but the response is equally, if not more, absurd and bitter. If I would come back, I’d almost be nervous for the experience now… which is sad. I see many people commenting on wanting to support a black owned business and the owner almost mocking it. Wow. Reviewers expectations may be too high sometimes; but they are human and I prefer businesses that run professionally. I’m sure this will cue another low vibrational response.

Every time I come here there is an issue with the number not in service, slow service, not open during business hours, can’t come inside because of some event. How in the world is this business still open???? It is Thursday at 11 am and it is closed despite the business hours stating they are open. A waste of people time, gas and money. In regards to the Owner's response, I am not surprised with the level of unprofessionalism, condescending, deflective and ignorant remarks you made, is more evidence as to why this business is ran so poorly. There was no sign on the front door regarding the plumbing. What about you business telephone number that is out of service?? I am not being negative I am giving a review of the facts surrounding this business. Instead of responding in a more professional manner and taking the constructive criticism of a customer you attack....shameful!

I really enjoyed the service and atmosphere here. The woman who first took my order remembered my name and was very friendly. She saw me eye-ing a table in the corner that had not been bussed yet and immediately let me know she would be right there to clear it for me which was really nice. The egg, bacon & cheese breakfast sandwich I had was really yummy. As for the Vanilla latte I first ordered, it was too sweet for me. I think if I had ordered an extra Espresso shot as I usually do, it would have been much better. I could tell there was a little too much vanilla in it. The Wifi worked really well. I spent a good 2 hours here and had no problems at all with it. There was a lot of seating inside with a lot of cable outlets which was good. There was also an outside seating area on a deck which was a nice option to have, even though it is way too hot & humid right now to enjoy outdoor working. My only complaint about the inside seating was it was a little bit crammed. I'm giving 4 stars only because it was fairly expensive. My vanilla latte & breakfast sandwich was already wracked up to $19.00. Yet still, I will be back to enjoy the easy-going atmosphere with good workspace and service.

We really enjoyed our delicious croissants breakfast sandwiches however the prices on the board didn't reflect the amount charged $10.50 ×2 + $2.00 add turkey + 1 wake up coffee and I ended paying $34.20 so just make sure you get a receipt so that you're consciously aware of exactly what you're being charged and are paying for. However the breakfast croissants was delicious and my mother enjoyed the wake up coffee. I would recommend this restaurant and I would also revisit when I'm not in such a rush.

Food was amazing. I had the boudin kolache and a blue lemonade. It was ALL CAPS DELICIOUS 😋. I knew I was about to get great service because when I walked in everyone was smiling. This is a great spot with lots of character and you get to write on the walls. Grab your friends or your family and swing by.

My favorite coffee shop to go to before work. I always get the iced chamomile tea and it’s perfect everytime. Customer service is always on point & on time. They also have hookah at night which is a nice vibe.

I have been eyeing this place for a couple months since hearing about it and I finally got the opportunity to stop by. I ordered the lazy daze (I think that’s it) with almond milk. The espresso was smooth and the drink was really good (don’t rush to sip it’s piping hot!) my daughter got the hot chocolate which was rich and creamy. The breakfast sandwich did seem a little pricey to me but after 1 bite it was totally worth it. I’ll definitely be back to try more menu items as everything looked good. The only downside is the patio was wet and the inside wasn’t open for dine in but we enjoyed it in the parking lot. Also the cronut is good, but I’d recommend asking if it can be served warm.

YES ✅ Got a small croissant for $10.50. Assumed that based on the price and the Description that “meal” would’ve been worth the price. OVER PRICED. Google said Dine-in but when I came in the other day the sign said no Dine in. The drink I got was reasonably priced for the size just was not to my taste. It was an okay experience I guess. Nothing much to it. Who ever responds to these reviews are honestly sad individuals. What story full story is there to tell? Everything was lacking for 10.50. And YES ✅ Google did say dining in.

This place is a delight. Absolute delight. The staff is amazingly friendly and welcoming. It's unapologetically Black owned, with empowering murals and decor. It's a treasure. The whole vibe is welcoming and homey, even down to the drink and food options. There's something for everyone here -- gluten free, vegetarian, etc. Also, hands-down, the best breakfast sandwiches in the city. The drinks are perfectly brewed with unique and imaginative combinations. And, this place is all about the little touches. My coffee cup had heart stickers on it today. Made my morning. A friendly smile and a heart sticker -- everyone needs this in their morning routine.

Love this gem. Their breakfast sandwiches and pastries are TO DIE FOR. The cajun turkey and the chocolate croissant specifically has my heart. Great coffee, great vibes. My boyfriend and I started coming here last year, and on a morning I was sick and sent him to get our coffee, they were closed. She still made the coffees for us! She truly takes care of her customers! She’s earned my business for as long as I’m in Houston!

Great service here! The lady who took our order was so sweet and lovely and genuine. She definitely made my morning and her bright personality is greatly appreciated. I got the rose water latte with oat milk. Not too sweet and I enjoyed it. I also got the sausage croissant which was a little too greasy, but of course it would be. It was also enjoyable, but a bit pricey ($10 for the sandwich) Cute place :)

Stopped in on this rainy Friday on the way to the zoo. Staff was friendly and coffee was excellent. Pumpkin latte with soy was the best I’ve ever had. Rich coffee flavor with a pumpkin slant was perfectly balanced, not too sweet, with a fragrant cinnamon stick. Deciding which muffin to have and the lady in the kitchen mentioned she had pumpkin muffins just out of the oven. Yum! Adding some nuts to this recipe would put it over the top! Was told that all of their coffee syrups are made from scratch and marshmallows toasted. They are checking all of the boxes. Great coffee, seasonal flavors and friendly faces hit the spot and helped ring in the season for me. Wishing I could live in the neighborhood. 🍁

I was a bit skeptical of this place when I had to order from the window outside…however I am glad I stayed the owner was super nice and friendly. Not going to lie it seemed a bit pricey but I was offered a student discount without even asking and the drink was larger than expected. They carried decaf iced coffee (not espresso) which is very rare these days and it was very tasty not like other decaf coffees that taste artificial and watered down! I didn’t get to try the food but it smelled very good. It was a good place to go study for a bit.

Delicious coffee and amazing breakfast menu items I love everything about this place except the fact that you can't dine in. I really hope they decide on changing that soon. The inside is so eccentric and artistic.

Delicious coffee, the sugar free orange cinnamon vanilla flavor is sooo good! Such a nice place, friendly service and they brought my coffee out to my car! I will definitely visit every time I’m in houston!

This place is AMAZING!! You’re greeted with a warm and friendly staff. The art everywhere is beautiful. The Kappa Red Tea is so delicious!! The croissants are so flaky and that cronut is heavenly. This is definitely my new breakfast spot.
