One elephant was chained while people fed it. They were offering rides which, as a rescue foundation doesn’t seem reasonable. Sad situation really. Not sure the funds are supporting a good cause but do your research. ** Update Response 2 Manager: I was there and your own google pics show chained animals and a riding chair. You are promoting about what you are unhappy about?

This place is definitely worth a visit - and not once: You get interact with amazing creatures in respectful yet intimate way. This is a sanctuary, where they save injured or exhausted from abuse elephants and care for them. When you come, you can walk with an animal, feed them bananas (they provide them to you) and then give an elephant a shower. You can see how animals interact with each other, how they care, play. Fantastic. I’d wish there were more places like this instead of zoos.

Great experience for children being able to get close up to elephants. I had my first ride on an elephant. Not as easy as it looks. Also fed, washed and walked with an elephant. The whole experience was good. 1 star deducted as I think the initial area where you start the experience is a bit messy.

I would say visit with a compassion heart and not looking forward for any rides or performances by elephant. It's a kind of shelter home for elephants. And they are very well taken care of. Fee of 800 baht for walking, feeding and showering the elephant.

This is a worth to visit place while in Hua Hin. The Foundation resques elephants from hard work or being abandoned by their owners. They offer an activity that includes riding or walking with and elephant, feeding and washing it. Although riding is on bare back of the animal, which they say is safe for it, we chose walking. We really enjoyed. These animals are very gentle.

Amazing place. Visited for the first time in 2014 and again nine years later in 2023. Had the pleasure of seeing the same elephant, Songkran, both times — aged 6 in 2014 and 15 in 2023. Very friendly place and you can tell that the treat the elephants well.

You can feed and walk with the elephant for 800 Baht here. Maybe it's not ideal to lock the elephants most time of the day, but it make some sense as the area is too small and the elephant may cause discomfort to their neighbours if they can walk around. They have plan to buy new land and make a better living environment for the elephants though.

During my visit to the elephant park, my heart was filled with compassion for these majestic creatures. Witnessing them confined under the scorching sun truly tugged at my heartstrings. It's essential that we raise awareness about the importance of providing them with more natural and spacious habitats, where they can thrive freely. Let us come together to protect and cherish these gentle giants, ensuring a brighter future for them.

Really good place. They rescue the elephants. Recommend you to choose the project that walk with, feed and wash the elephants. The staff are friendly. They also helped us to take lots of photos. Location is a little far from the downtown. But it’s really worth of visiting here.

Overall pretty please with my trip to this foundation, we learned that most of the elephants taking in here would have been abandoned, prices were 300 bath to feed the elephants. You will get a basket of bananas, pretty reasonable as they use the money to treat the elephants too.

The lady at reception is forcing to buy tickets. Only 4 elephants and no proper maintenance. Different price for every customer. The area is not hygiene for elephants.

Looks like perfect place for money making. Elephants are chained, no any water sources except hosepipe. You pay big money for low quality service, have free unpaid volunteers and allow tourists to ride on elephans.

Incredible foundation with fantastic English speaking guide and beautiful elephants! The work of the foundation is wonderfully noble and you can see it in the faces of the elephants.

Not a sanctuary nor a ‘foundation’. We were under the impression by their website that it would be a good place for abused elephants to have a good life. A total lie, elephants chained up - don’t support such a business. Spent two minutes in the car and immediately left after seeing the condition.

I'm not sure this is a great place. Elephant's are chained up and trained to perform. They hug on command and at the end pick up a tip jar and take your cash. Also you can ride Elephant's here. We did a walk with an Elephant and it was clear it didn't want to be there, it kept trying to eat grass instead of the bananas we were feeding it but was not allowed. Staff are friendly and it was a good experience to meet and feed the Elephants but there are more ethical places to do so.

It was a touching experience even though the staff was not what you would call welcoming. It also does not address if one should support a place where elephants are kept in chains most of the day. That's for youself to judge.

This place is a scam. You should never go to an elephant sanctuary that offers you to ride the elephants, this is apparently a form of abuse and hurtful to their backs. We saw this activity and immediately left.

The place is very quite at the moment, not so many people coming yet. Its a foundation that helps and feeds the elephants. They offer some package where you can only feed, or walk or ride with the elephants. Some elephants are quite old and there is also one baby. I recomend that you visit this place to support the foundation.

Visited here a couple of days ago after reading all the great reviews. Unfortunately, the visit was not as good as I had anticipated. First of all, the Thai lady at reception tried to palm us off with a more expensive package than we wanted. We declined and went with feed and wash which was 600 thb for myself and my husband. Then they gave us a bucket of bananas which we were rushed to finish feeding the elephants with. I left the bucket while I walked down to feed the other elephant some, and the member of staff gave them to another member of our group so I didn’t even get to finish feeding. We were also strongly encouraged to feed them a whole branch of bananas which if we had done so would have been gone in about 1 minute. Everything felt so incredibly rushed like we were a huge inconvenience and they couldn’t wait to take our money and get rid of us! The elephants were also CHAINED which if I had known, I would never have visited in the first place. Next, they passed me a hose pipe to wash the elephant with. The three members who had paid for this “privelage” got a quick go of spraying water on the poor elephant and then the water was switched off and the pipe snatched back. And that was the end of the visit pretty much as we were promptly ushered back out. In total, we spent 1800thb here as there was 6 of us. It was nice to see elephants in person but not in these circumstances. I left feeling upset that they were chained and also ripped off and rushed. Most of the reason for visiting Thailand was to see elephants and this place really ruined the experience for me and everyone else in my group 😞

I've known this place for years. They used to do all the elephant tricks and rides, and since people have become aware of what they go through in training they've changed their marketing. But be sure, they just want your money. More money if you're a foreigner.

My children loved the experience of getting close and feeding the teenage elephant. The elephants seemed well taken care of. And the team was ready to answer our questions about the elephants and the foundation. The experience cost 800 baht for adult and 400 baht. Think of it as a donation for the foundation.

It's called a shelter but it's not. The elephants are chained by their legs with no option to move. We took a walk with one of the elephants and just felt bad. The keeper yelled at it all the time and pulled it by the ear. Don't go there.

The guide spoke very good english and very knowledgeable about the elephants in there care, the elephants have the leg chained but it is for there safety as near a busy road please remember that elephants do not digest there food the same as most animals and poop alot so it may seem that they are not looked after which is far from the truth. The volunteers are doing an amazing job looking after them so go have a look you can feed them, walk with them and give them a shower all the money goes to there upkeep big animals need lots of food and medication.

They seem to care and treat the elephants as best they can. The walk was pretty good with plenty of bananas to keep feeding. We didn't get to do the educational talk but the brief chat we had with the volunteers was really interesting so can imagine that would be worth it next time.

This location is doing from what I can see the right thing by these majestic animals. No rides, that's key here, go for a walk with the elephants, wash the elephants, feed the elephants but no rides and no show. The guy who showed us around was informative, had great English and was happy to answer questions and show behind the scenes.

(Translated by Google) This is a place worth visiting if you really love animals. The money from visits goes to the maintenance of rescued animals. Nothing to do with circuses, zoos and other entertainments where training is used to one degree or another. With small children it’s hard, hot, but a good lunch and feeding and washing the elephants at the end of the day will not leave children indifferent. The excursion is in English, I would like, of course, in Russian too. There is a souvenir shop, T-shirts, caps and more, the proceeds of which also go to the maintenance of animals. I recommend to visit (Original)

(Translated by Google) It is a rare and special experience to be able to get in close contact with elephants. It is an activity I am looking forward to when traveling to Hua Hin ‧ At the entrance, I was surprised to see many Buddha statues, and then scared by the chickens running around (I personally are afraid of chickens!) So the whole visit was distracted! Walking with an elephant is a very good experience. You can see the natural side of the elephant instead of being tied and controlled. Unfortunately, the walking time is a bit short. It would be better if the time could be longer. It is also fun to bathe the elephant, of course, the elephant is tethered ... Taking photos with the baby elephant is very warm, but the tipping action later changes the whole feeling ‧ unfortunately! It is highly recommended for those who like elephants to experience it. At the same time, it is also recommended that the Elephant Foundation improve the quality of the tour, so that people want to go again ‧ Although tipping is not compulsory, instead of asking for a tip, it would be better to change the different business models and increase income ‧ (Original)
