This is one of the top 2 golf courses in Thailand 🇹🇭. The experience of the golf course is beautiful. The views are fantastic, and the championship length layout of the course is challenging and yet a true test of your golfing skills and ability. The other outstanding quality of Banyan GC, is the friendliness of the staff and the caddies, my caddie was a young university student, but her knowledge and reading skills of the greens were excellent. The facilities were fantastic, there are lockers and also beautiful change rooms with showers and other facilities to freshen up after a round, in the Asian heat and humidity. Highly recommend a visit and game whe you are in Hua Hin Thailand 🇹🇭.

The majority of golf courses in Asia are stunning and well maintained. They are not easy to play, so you must practice and play them more than once to successfully shoot your handicap or a lower score. They don't have a stroke saver booklet as they do in Europe or the US. So you are at the mercy of the uneducated caddy that is mandatory by law (another story). All golfers know it only takes a couple of holes to ruin your whole day. It was my first time playing this course. I was happy with how I played the course, but I could have done better if I knew the layout and greens. I knew my golf weakness, and I worked on it, but time was of the essence. So I took a chance and played, but I will redeem myself, and they will not see it coming in the next tournament. Below is my review of the course. I post my review on the course web page and my FB to go back and refresh my notes. This would be the ideal trip for all you who love the sport and looking to take a holiday. (2) Banyan Golf Course My photos consist mostly of the tee - fairway and close to the greens and around them. If I left out some holes, oh well, trying to play and take photos, don't help you focus on playing. Likes: Club House: (1) Great (2) The locker room is excellent. (3) The drinks and food areas are ideal with lovely views of the course and countryside. Driving range: (1) The driving range is small. No mats. (2) Balls cost 100 baht for 40. That's experience. (3) They have pitching and chipping green, and the speed (fast) and slope of this green mirror the course greens. There are no straight flat putts. (4) They have a putting green. Recommend you focus on long putts to get the speed down. Note: If you stay in Hau Hun, there is a driving range at the Hau Hin Golf Course. It's small, so you would have to be there when open at 06:30 and hope others are not there. After 7 am, you might have to wait because people playing comes and hit two trays before playing. Fairways: (0) Most tee boxes are elevated. (1) Well-groomed and tight lie (2) It gives you some above, below, up/downhill, and side slope lies. (3) Lots of bunkers (4) Has water on some holes Greens: (1) None are flat. (2) They are big. (3) They are fast. (4) Some are two-tier. (5) If you come in low, balls will not hold. (6) Most greens are elevated on approach. So if you go over, you will have 10+ yards back up to get on. (7) Some are uphill and downhill. Best to ask caddy; it is hard to see the difference until you are on the green. Note: Most of my photos are approach photos. Bunkers: (1) They are below the greens, and sand is firm Dislikes: (1) The cost of range balls too high. (2) Some caddies are not knowledgeable about reading the greens. (3) Recommend you take her to the practice green. Have her read there to see what to expect from her on the course. (4) Caddy did not know the lateral hazards of some holes. (5) A bottle of water cost you 20 baht. That same bottle you can buy at 7/11 for 7 baht. Improvements: (1) Lower the cost on range balls. I am sure you get more people wanting to hit balls before playing. (2) Train the caddies on telling the customers of penalty areas, lateral hazards, and reading the greens. Overall: (1) The course appears long, but it is a short course and allows a player to get many birdies, but only if you play course management golf. (2) It is walkable from hole 1 to hole 18, but only if you are a walker. It is up and downhills. Don't recommend if you are not in shape or do three days of physical training. (3) The course is well maintained.

It’s pretty difficult for me to find any criticism of this course. From the blues it’s a test but it’s fair. The course is in great condition and as a solo player I was done in 2h and 15 minutes. Are in the club house after and that was delicious. Caddy was very professional and knew the course very well. It was a great round.

I absolutely love this course. Top notch design and a tricky course to play. The greens run fast and are extremely hard to read. Very fun caddies that are really helpful and the carts are equipped with gps giving you accurate yards to the pin. One of the view courses that have a driving range with real grass instead of astroturf. Most expensive place to play but definitely worth the money!

Great course with a lot of variety but a lot of fairways slope from left to right for some reason. The greens are undulating so 3 putts are very likely if you are at the wrong position on the green. Very stylish clubhouse.

Very nice golf course to play. Green Fee is 2350 baht on weekdays. I enjoyed every minute while I was on the golf course. The locker room is good. The terrace restaurant at the clubhouse is nice, too.

Absolutely wonderful golf course with rolling fairways, beautiful greens, strategically placed obstacles but eminently playable from the white tees. Fairways are generally wide but be careful with the water obstacles. They have a way to sneak up on you... Restaurant has a terrace overlooking the whole course. Food is very good and reasonably priced for this type of venue. The club house mixes very modern and traditional Thai elements in a strange looking mash up. Changing rooms are great and pro shop is well stocked

Front 9 is spectacular, it's what one would have imaged playing golf in Thailand. Back 9 is fine, didn't bother taking any photo. Yeah, a bit behind Black Mountain. But it's definitely on the must play list.

Well maintained course, somewhat challenging green. Some par 4s are quite long even from white tee. Friendly staffs. It's about 15-20 mins from the town center toward the hills. Recommend pre arranging transport as it is middle of nowhere. Definitely play again when in town next.

Very nice and friendly course. Windy and undulating fairways. Love the green speed of 10. Excellence facilities.

The course is in great condition!!! Went back during the Hua hin golf festival. We really missed it. The course never fails to challenge us. Give it a go if you have not played in Banyan yet. Cheers

Beautiful location. I came not to golf but to trail run and eat! Everything about Banyon Golf is top notch! The facility, the building, the service, the food, and the golf course looks awesome! They were organized for our large group and we were appreciative!

Great condition even though it poured overnight the course was playing awesome. The staff is courteous and very helpful, they let my kids ride out to 17/18 and ride the last 2 holes with me. No where else would that be done at this level of a course

We play here before and everything organized very well, Wednesday 22/11 we play here again, there is a small group of 15 bit slow at hole 16/17/18 but we were able to finish just dark. 👌

It's a fantastic golf course, a must do for golfers. A great selection of meals at good prices, excellent facilities. My only negative is that although the Pro shop is extensively stocked with a great selection of merchandise, it's the most expensive I've visited here far higher than any other course I've visited. It's a must play course. Make sure you book prior.

Had our first golf clinic here on the invitation of the club. Not all employees knew where participants had to go, but found the registration desk eventually when we walked to the restaurant. From there on the experience was excellent and we enjoyed it very much. The exhibitor was late, so wasn't able to have a look at their products. The golf course looks well maintained and in excellent condition. We overheard people saying at the restaurant saying that the food was good, but didn't try that ourselves.

This is my most favourite golf club in Thailand. A good test for the amateur golfer which is in excellent condition. The caddies are some of the best you will come across.

Did not feel welcome in this Golf Club, caddies were professional but not as warm/friendly as in other Golf club we went before. The course itself was well maintained, however the green were soaking wet at the time we played (7.30am). Overall a good experience but not fantastic.

Beautiful course design that's very well kept in great condition! Modern looking/minimalist designed clubhouse, with very warm and friendly staff. The caddies were excellent at recognising what clubs to recommend, highlighting how to play each hole, and providing accurate readings of the greens where requested! Would gladly return, and look forward to playing again!
