Possibly the most profoundly beautiful place I’ve ever been. 200THB for a foreigner to enter. Depending on your fitness level, if you don’t take the boat, there is a moderate 20 - 30 minute hike along the mountain edge with some stunning beach, forest and gulf views. There is then a brief walk through some small woods and a restaurant before the hike up to the cave itself begins. That hike is again, moderate, around 30 - 45 minutes (2KM total distance from start to cave). In my opinion, it is absolutely worth every step for the unique nature of the cave, the collapsed roof in parts throwing sunlight into the huge space and bringing life in the most unexpected places. The temple itself is one of the few times I’ve experienced such a place that is better than any photo or video can portray. Has to be experienced to be believed and if you’re in to it, meditation here is next level.

Very beautiful cave with a small temple in the top, you have two way to reach there, by walking ( its around 2 km and you have to climb a hill and go down in the opposite side) or by boat; I got the boat so I can't tell how hard is the climbing. By boat it takes 5 to 10 minutes only but after you land you still have to climb 800 meters, when you finally reach the top the natural view is amazing, the only man-made construction is a small praying temple ( no monks living there ). Around 12 pm sunlight reaches the temple, that's the best time to be there

A real unseen Thailand. Trail was around 1.5 hours return if you’re taking the small speedboat to the middle of the trail, otherwise 3 hours needed here. Prepare yourself well with water and some snacks as there are lots of ups and downs hill. But you’ll forget how tired you’ve been once you reached the destination, it’s truly remarkable. Recommended reaching the destination by 11 AM to see the best view of it.

Worth the 2km hike (less on days you get to go around the hill with a boat)... Serious consideration should be given to footwear.. some rocks are slippery and on wet days this cave turns into a mudslide. Plan to arrive by 11am for the most light in the cave from above... Also.. it's a steep climb up over and down.. mobility and fitness can be an issue. Either way.. if you can you should. Smiles and thumbs up all the way.

Great place to visit, you have two options to get there, you can either walk all the way which maybe takes 40 minutes or so or you can catch a boat to the beach and walk up from there. Lam sala beach is beautiful and white sand and very long, worth walking along the beach to the far end. Look out for the monkeys , there are two types Long tailed Macaques and Dusty Langurs, these will allow you to get quite close but beware if you have any food on you as they may go for it. Recommended visit

There are two ways to get to the cave: riding a boat. It is 400 baht person and by foot. If you choose the boat, you will be drop off at the beach between the first and the second mountain. You have to walk up one mountain to the cave. It takes about 30 minutes to an hour to hike. If you choose to walk, keep in mind that it is a lot of hiking, climbing up and down two mountains. It takes us 2 hours from the beginning to the cave. We were not in a hurry and we had some small kids with us. It is doable, but also tiring. Make sure you wear comfortable tennis shoes and carry some water. If you definitely want to take the boat, call ahead to check if boats are out or not. We expect to ride the boat, but the wind is too strong. There is always at least a park ranger inside the cave to ensure safety. The one we met was very nice. The trails could get rough at some spots. Give this trip a full day and go slowly. You can enjoy the view along the way and that will make it an enjoyable hiking with an outstanding reward at the end.

Wondering nature! It took absolutely stunning at the cave and the way the sun shine through the hole is beautiful. It is cool inside the cave. It is a long walk to reach the cave so you want to take a boat service. But you will miss natural sites along the walk. If you decided to walk there and take a boat on the way back, they will charge you same price as round trip. I recommend to do it though, why not supporting local people right?😂

This place is a wonder of nature. You have two options to go. You will either walk the whole way and cross 2 mountains and arrive after 5-6 km, or you will go by boat and walk only 625 meters. I recommend you to wear sneakers for the last 625 Mt climb. It was raining when I went and the stones were very slippery and my sandals slipped a lot. Definitely go there. Entrance is 200 baht, 200 baht by boat, 400 baht in total. If you go by boat, be sure to get the captain's number, ours forgot us and we waited for hours to be rescued.

A nice climb with a view point in the first stage. Lovely walk on the beach in the second. A steep climb to reach the cave in the third. Seeing people wearing flip flops, crocks or walking bare foot is just painful. Do not be them, have trainers or any other proper shoes.

It is a beautiful place, very well maintained. The view is wonderful. The walk to the cave should have good shoes, because it goes steeply up and down. But when you get to the cave it's more than worth it.The only thing that always bothers me is that foreigners pay more for entry, even though they live in Thailand. I don't understand that and it's very unfair. I felt like I was being treated unfairly

The hike to the cave is worth it. Last time to start the hike is 3PM sharp after that the security won’t let you in. Hiking first hill is optional (Take a boat to cave trail start or hike the first hill) and then start hiking the second hill to the cave. The view is totally worth it.

This is a really fun adventure that’s not too far from Hua Hin. We didn’t expect a 2 km hike but it was a fun family adventure. We highly recommend visiting as much of a walk is along the water and even the hike up into the cave it’s not too extensive. Our kids are 7 and 6 and did a great job with the hike. Bring water!

After a 30-40 minutes tough and sometimes slippery walk in two parts, you’ll get to see one of the most impressive place around Hua Hin. Make sure to be there before 11 a.m., otherwise you’ll be among big groups, who break the serenity of the place and make access or exit more difficult because of the slippery steps close to the cave. Entrance fee: 200 bahts.

I follow many influencers in YouTube. It looks easily to climb up this mountain. It is about 500-600 meter from starting point to landmark. There are animal like monkey along the way. The step to the top is ok. For me, it is a bit tired. There is a resting area in. The middle of route. The overall route is go up 400 meters and go down 200 meters to the cave. There are many officers help and monitor all travelers. I am very appreciative. When you arrive the cave. I pray for luck and wealth here. Take some photo. Then go back. Our Thai kings had visited here, and wrote something on the cave wall.

An exciting place to visit, challenging hike about 30 minutes to get to the cave and 30 minutes to get back, bring some water with you. You can either hike to the cave or take a boat. I recommend wearing comfortable shoes, shorts, and a cool shirt. Overall it is a great place to see. I recommend you to see this place if you are in Hua Hin.

This was one of the hardest walks I have ever done. But it was so worth it. Go for the right time at 1030 so you can see the light come in. I went in December so it wasn't to hot. I wouldn't be able to do it during summer. The view was breath taking. So good.

Worth the hike! Start at Bang Pu beach! We had to hike for 1.30 hrs from Bang Pu beach because the boat did not operate when we visited due to high tide. It was 45 mins hike to Lam Sala Beach and another 30-45 mins hike to the Nakhon Cave. The hike was relatively steep, but with a lot of steps. DO VISIT between 10 AM - 11 AM. The view is magnificent between this timing because it’s the only time when the sun will shine upon the temple perfectly. Park your car at Bang Pu beach. Entrance fee is 200 baht for foreigners. Keep the ticket with you if you want to visit other places within the national park so you don’t have to pay twice.

We visited there a group of 5 families with young kids ages 2-12 You first need to pay the park entrance fee which is 200/adult 100/kid Then you take a short boat ride (about 5 minutes), which costs 400 per boat of up to 6 people. From there the trail starts - it’s all stairs, and there are signs that shows progress along the rout. All kids were able to climb it, an the cave at the end was spectacular! When we got back, we cooled down at the beach. On the beach there are clean toilet and even a basic shower, and a restaurant.

A good outing, exploration that requires good shoes. You’ll have to buy tickets before you start your hike, the prices are different for foreigners and local. If you come by car it is near the parking lot. Before you enter, there is a shop that sells refreshments, insect repellent and other miscellaneous items, and if you are desperate the toilets are clean and tidy. On your way to the cave you’ll pass a local restaurant which does really good friend rice - I recommend eating after and not before as it can feel heavy while you’re hiking in the heat. You’ll come across some viewpoints which are absolutely stunning and can see the sea or nature. Some travel by boat if they’re not a fan of walking to the beginning of the trek, however that is extra charge and you have to pay for both ways. As shown in the pictures there are lots of rubble that can be quite tricky when walking, however if you’re up to the challenge you can walk on the flat surface next to the banister on your way to the cave.

Cave looks beautiful and peaceful, but be prepared : getting there isn’t easy. All the walking ( there and back) took us 3 hours all together : we made some stops for drinks and rest though. And what I found unfair is the price. Thai - 40 baht , foreigner - 200 baht. They don’t accept Work permit .

A 450 metres above the sea level trail to get there. The trail is a bit steep and slippery but not that difficult. There is a boat service to cross one mountain to climb up to the cave. But you can take the trail 480 meters to reach the beach before taking another 450 metres to the cave. I took 3.30 hours with 2 mountains trails round trip. Inside was a royal shelter for King Rama V and also the signature or handwriting of the kings on the wall of cave. I recommend to wear proper shoes as it was slippery especially when going down the hill. Also bring a bottle of water. There is a restaurant before going up the cave. You can rest when come back to beach. They recommend to arrive by 10 am to see the sunlight on the royal shelter. I was there at 2 pm but it is still beautiful.

Amazing cave, absolutely worth the visit if you're in the area. Go in the early morning to avoid the crowds and mid day heat. Recommend you take the hike there, but the boat back.

A very neat place to visit. Beware you will have to hike up & down to get to this wonderful site. Men, please understand this is a religious alter you need to have your shirt on when you get inside the cave to view it. There are signs pictorially along the way that state that. It is disrespectful in Buddhism to not be cover properly. Just a suggestion.

It is a bit of a hike, which can be challenging in the warm and humid climate of Thailand, but... Worth it! At the end of the hike you arrive in a serene and very spacious cave that hosts a small temple. It is a truly unique environment. We were lucky there were few other people that day, so we could experience the sensation of space and tranquility. Then, after the hike back, the beer tasted better than ever 😀.

This cave is absolutely magical! Well worth the hike, roughly 2km one way and mostly uphill. You can skip the first part of the hike and get a boat around the first hill.

Nice but quite challenging trail when hot. We went from a parking lot (20 thb/car) and it was less than 2 km to get there, but it's steep. We saw monkeys and monitor lizard on the way. Entrance fee to the national park is 200 thb/person.

Option to take boat around to beach area. If not, initial climb is steep but great views from top. Hiking from start to cave and back is about 2-3 hours depending on your physical ability. Stop by one of the restaurants and view the beach after. Well worth your time.

When arriving at the parking, at the ticket booth, there are two ways/options to finally go to the cave: (1) on foot for about 2 km (not recommended), (2) take a little boat to go around and save at least half the time, then go to the trail on foot (a lot of climbing) for more than 40 minutes. Highly recommended to bring enough water when about to go to the trail (under 35C). Be ready for a good physical exercise. You will be rewarded. The cave and the temple are magnificent.

Amazing cave, we took about an hour to hike to the cave since the boat ride was closed due to high waves. Along the path, there were many viewpoints with amazing views of the sea. The path has many marble parts that are slippery so be cautious. The cave didn't have garbage in it so it was being maintained well! Recommended to arrive by 11am to get a picture of the sunlight shining on the royal pavilion. The only downside was the ticket to enter the hiking trail was quite expensive.

The cave can be accessed from Bang Pu beach by foot, but I would recommend taking a boat from there instead. To access the cave requires a climb of around 450m which would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues or a poor level of fitness. There is a viewing point around halfway up the climb with stunning views. There's also a restaurant and other facilities at the bottom of the hill by the beach.

It’s part of the National park for its super special geography. The Mountain is made of limes stone which forms impressive cave and the temple was build right inside of the cave. If you come around 11am here the sun rays pour directly on top of the temple. The hike is only 430M, but combination of heat and steep lime stone trail make it a bit challenge. It’s so worthy for the effort. It feels like going back to millions years back in dinosaur time.

2nd time visiting the cave. It's 200 baht (40 baht Thai) to enter the national park. As people have mentioned you can avoid the first mountain by taking a boat (400 Baht per person), but in my view this is the easier hike that provides great views. The second 430m walk is pretty much all steep steps, so I've seen a few turn back. My advise is wear sensible shoes and take or stock up on water at the restaurant before starting. The reward is an interesting Cave that has been visited by three Thai Kings. I enjoyed it, hence why its my second time.

Today we went on a hike to Phraya Nakhon Cave near to our hotel in Hua Hin (3 hours south of Bangkok) We took a boat across to the nature trial We decided to bring along our taxi driver to guide us. He offered to wait for us, so we said he may as well come along for the hike. After the boat trip we hiked 440m up the mountain (we had to leave the driver half way up as he wasn't up to it)! We descended down to the caves and there is an amazing temple (you can see in the pictures) and the sunlight comes through to light up the temple. We made it back down the mountain passing monkeys along the way. We made our driver's day, he didn't expect to have the morning off!! An amazing day!

Scenic cave near Hua Hin.. you need need trek 2 hills.. there is also boat on low tide season… you will need minimum 2hours to trek n spend time at the cave.. recommend to go before 11am to catch the sunlight falling on the temple inside the cave through the opening at the top of limestone hills.. trek route will be along the shore of the beach which will be scenic and breathtaking.. better have proper trek shoes to have better grip while trekking.. 200B for foreigners but you can use the same ticket to enter other National parks in that region like Sai cave, bua woodwalk bridge but it should be covered on the same date of ticketing.. in between the 2 hills there will rest rooms n restaurants to refresh n have some quick bites
