We had the best time here! Located in a great area with lots of things to do. Had no reservation and only a maybe 20 minute wait. We went for a walk in the nice neighborhood close by while we waited. There was also a pub, a Mediterranean Cafe and Thai restaurant next door. Forno has Indoor and outdoor seating available. Wonderful atmosphere all around. I was very happy with my view of the brick pizza oven! The host was great and called me as soon as there was an open table. Our server was perfect, very attentive. I had a margarita and diet coke(: For an appetizer we picked the goat cheese and chestnut honey bruschetta, amazing. We ordered the Tagliatelle Bolognese and it was to die for! A real must have. I believe we had the Calabrese pizza, any pizza here is a winner. The food was spectacular and I will be bringing my mom here ASAP. Can’t wait to go back.

Absolutely delicious. Service front to end was outstanding, and the food was the same. We got Bolognese, and a truffle/arugula pizza, each one was one of the best versions of the dish that we have ever eaten. Cannot recommend this place enough!

So delicious! Took myself here and had an amazing time. Allen was my server and he was the sweetest! Wine, pizza, and caesar were delicious. Will be returning!

Solid spot in Hyde Park. The octopus and fingerling potatoes slapped. Place has a cool feel on the inside, and I would definitely recommend as a top notch Italian eatery. The pizza is really good quality and has great dough. I liked the gnocchi, but not my favorite in town. The risotto was also fire. Really cannot go wrong here. Great food, environment, and the staff are really nice. You can sit at the bar too and watch the back of house do their thing, which is always cool. I would eat that octopus and potatoes like 5x over. It was sooooo tasty and the prices here are very fair.

This was a pretty lovable place to grab some Italian food on a late Friday night. They're popular, but you shouldn't have too much trouble getting a reservation a week in advance. The wine selection is very solid and they recommend pairings with every entree. The arancini was a very enjoyable start to the meal; that subtly spicy sauce blended well with it. The grilled swordfish was tender, juicy, flavorful, and had a nice crust. The pasta and sauce were also excellent; I'd give that plate a 9/10. I've eaten at the Montgomery Forno location and had a positive experience. I'd be more than happy to dine at this location again too.

Quaint place. You do feel like you are sitting at someone else's table because so close. Octopus was tasty. The veal was a bit over cooked. The cod was tasty but small. Cauliflower au gratin is worth it. Overall I'd like to give it a 3.5 but there isn't that one.

Our Waitress Alexis was excellent (& I think quite amused by our table). Our reservation was at 8 but the table wasn't quite ready yet due to the restaurant being busy (for good reason, the food is excellent!). But because it took them extra time to get our table ready they brought us out some complimentary appetizers of veal meatballs and a goat cheese & honey bread (which I have to say was amazing but I'm also a very big fan of goat cheese). 100% would recommend and we definitely plan on bring my partners Italian grandma here very soon!

Our party of four had a reservation for 6:15 on a Friday night on the patio. It was a gorgeous evening and their patio was comfortable (not too big; maybe 6 tables). Our server was attentive and took good care of us. We ordered the bruschetta sampler, which was very good. I ordered the margarita pizza and wished it was a bit more done; it was kind of soggy in the middle, but the flavor was good. Our friends ordered the pasta bolognese and said it was very good. Ordered tiramisu for dessert. It was on the small side, and tasted okay. Overall I think the atmosphere is great, the service attentive, and the food is good. Maybe a bit on the pricey side.

We tried a some pasta, a salad and the minestrone soup. Soup was the best! Pasta was good, but after seeing everyone’s pizzas, I wish I had ordered one of those. They have bar seating and you can watch their culinary team prepare the dishes, which we really enjoyed. The place was pretty busy on a Friday night. We’ll definitely be back. There were no parking spaces in the small lot out front so we had to park down the road a bit. Could be something to consider if one’s mobility is limited.

I travel for Neapolitan pizza & I was excited to try Forno. Good layout, atmosphere, & excellent service. However, the meatballs were pretty good, but the portion seemed quite small & the pizza looked amazing, but was lacking on many levels. First of all, it was very salty, and the crust basically had no flavor. The place was packed & I wish them well!

Staff and food were amazing. They allowed us to split the gnocchi, Bolognese, and Short rib so we could try it all. Great atmosphere as well.

Good service and great ambiance. We had the Bruscetta sampler - the goat cheese topped one was amazing! The Caesar salad is a solid pick - the dressing was just right. The Salsiccia e Cipolla pizza was average, whilst the Elena pizza was great and highly recommended - the truffles on that pizza really stood out.

Just moved to the neighborhood, wanted to thank the old man for helping me move all day by treating him to dinner. We had such a great experience that we’ve decided to make this our new dinner spot. Food was excellent, the establishment was very clean, and the service was excellent as well. Can’t wait to come back. Thank you!

The food at Forno Osteria + bar is very good. The red sauce is full of flavor and I recommend spaghettini Arraabbita. The environment of metro industrial and a bit loud for those with hearing loss. I gave them a 4 stars because they were very slow and charging $6 for bread at a $$$$ restaurant is a bit insulting.

Excellent service even when arriving 45 minutes to closing. I've worked in restaurants before and hate being that person, but was treated as if we had come at the start of service. Larry is a fantastic server. Fantastic food and menu. Will definitely be back.

We were in town for a weekend getaway. A bartender from another spot told us about forno. She was right about the pizzas being some of the best in town. The staff on the other hand were less than savory. We sat at the bar and there seemed to be a disconnect on who was actually taking care of us. In the future I would get carryout to avoid the unpleasant staff.

We had our eye on this restaurant for months and we're finally able to get a reservation that coincided with our availability. So, of couse, we were very excited to be dining here. Unfortunately, the meals and service left quite a bit to be desired. I ordered the Bolognese and it was mediocre at best. I added a meatball which was overpriced and sorely under delivered. All of the meals at our table were quite small portions. Which means we left hungry after spending several hundred on our groups' meals. We love upscale dining and have no problem paying the premium price when the meal, ambiance and service match, but this was not up to our expectations.

It's interesting, almost Italian, but not quite. Some type of chic fusion of Italian and something else. Their pizza isn't quality brick oven, but still good. Bolognese is excellent, gnocchi amongst the best I've had... but it's not classic Italian. It's hard to describe, either it's intentional and unique, or they think they're Italian and lucky.

I went here with my husband and had a really lovely time. As soon as we entered I was hit by the lively & social atmosphere within the restaurant, as well as the intoxicating smells coming from the brick oven (which is SO FUN to watch.) We ended up trying the braised tripe (a first for my husband) and were both blown away. That tripe is a must try for sure! The pizza was outstanding as well, full of that flavorful brick oven char while managing to be cracker crisp in some parts & tender in others. We will definitely come back!

This restaurant was recommended many times and we finally tried it last weekend. It was incredible! We ate at the bar which I would highly recommend for two. We were able to watch all the food being made including pizzas being put into the brick oven. We got the arugula salad, bolognese, and the truffle pizza and everything was excellent and very large portions that you could easily share. The atmosphere is nice but not stuffy which we really enjoyed. We will be back!
